That would be the creepiest thing ever if it played in every zone just before the crash.
I'm thinking it will be played right before Dalamud hits similar to the theme that plays in Majora's Mask right before the end of the final day.
Pretty much echo what the other posters have said. It really does feel like 'final hours' from majora's mask.
To steal an epic comment from the video:
Dawn of the Final Update
-Two Patches Remaining-
A variation of "Answers", eh? I wonder if they can make the areas ingame look like they do in the cutscenes/trailer, with meteors falling and earth trembling every few seconds.
It would be really awesome if we heard that tune like during the final week or final patch. It certainly would be the cherry on the pie.
It's very unsettling. Just like the general ambience of Mor Dhona at the moment.
That is the coolest thing they could have ever done to "Answers"
seems logical.
A sudden thought crossed my mind...
What if the final patch or like the last week/days introduces the actual garlean war that we saw in the trailer.
I was thinking about the fact how the garleans units kept on coming closer and closer to the three cities. Yet now we get flying airships heading our way and I think the ground units dissapeared(need confirmation). Perhaps we'll be spending the final days actually acting out that long gruesome battle. And with that we'll get the OP's tune playing.
Just a random thought to be taken by a grain of salt.
I'm loving this music. They should make this play at least the last month or so of the patch if not the whole time time right after the last patch.
I would really like to see changes to the outside world as well. Like a red sky or rocks falling from Dalund.
Yeah is that Track used anyways in FFXIV yet? it is new and 10 mins long... maybe its the end Credits when you "Finally and Actually" beat FFXIV 1.0.
Edit: I seriously have the chills right now listening to this whole track... 1.23b/c= Dalamud in your Face... Ground Rumbling.... Silent winds...... Meteors Falling down upon Eorzea... in Darkness weather..... That's how I picture it...
FFXIV needs more ambient tracks like this. That's one thing I liked about WoW a lot -- the vast majority of zones have ambient BGM tracks rather than actual music, which really helps with the atmosphere and setting a specific mood. Part of the reason that I like Mor Dhona as much as I do, too.
As with most other people, my money is on this being an "oh god the world is about to end" background track for when things finally start to hit the fan.
haha wow.. I'm super excited and I haven't even made it outside of Limsa Lominsa yet.. Must finish game =.=
Next patch needs to come so I can listen to this rather than the rage building summer event music.
Thank god there's no guitars and keyboards in this version.
..and I WANT it to happen °-°
Problem is...I guess we'll get a cutscene and that's it.
Us actually playing out the battle against the Garleans? The real (non instanced) Eorzea shaking and crumbling and meteorites falling from the skies? All the NPCs cowering in fear and talking about the end of the world?
Yeah that's not going to happen.
It would be way to expensive and time consuming, even more so for something being removed before 2.0 hits.
But I WANT to believe they'll do it that way, because it would be so unbelievably awesome..:o
I actually see this playing through flashes of catastrophe and the camera panning around dead bodies.
It really would be cool if this played in every zone. But then again, consider this... Could it even be a battle theme?
please SE dont disappoint me in how you going to end 1.0 .
The only way I could describe this: disturbingly awesome
Though it's very hard to make out what she's singing.
Yeah I guess that makes sense. I agree with you though that would be the coolest possible outcome in lieu of a RT event being unpractical. Bring Dalmund in super close play this music in every zone and then have the actual crash be the opening CS for 2.0 or something.
Even though this music is perfect I bet it turns out to be used for something else totally unrelated though lol.
It's this song: http://youtu.be/2poCjqoSqOY
Except filtered with a sort of muzzled/cave ambient sound over it. Or just techno equalizing over it. lol
It'll probably play during either the last cutscene in the game with every main scenario character either praying / bracing for impact.
Or like the all the original folks here described, Last day all area zone like in zelda the something something or flashback in 2.0 which i doubt. ;x
Oh lord, I think I just hecked my bed.
Awesome piece. Would make a great ambient track to the zones.
Well, I did mention how eriely prophetic "Answers" was to the history of 1.xx...
But man... this gives me chills. I really do hope they keep the origonal "Answers" Track for A Realm Reborn. It means so much more now that we've gone through such a struggle.
God. Just listened to it with headphones - it really is slightly nightmarish...I *hope* they use it in the right situation.
Well, the one who found this and uploaded it to youtube certainly nailed it right on the head. This is the music that now plays in all field areas as of the final save on October 31, 2012. Certainly a fitting song. It really gives you that somber feeling.
