Can you please give some reward like 1 Tomestone of Causality if you get Place 1 or 2.
Or at least Tomestone of Poetics. Would be nice thanks.

No.
Mahjong should give MGP.
Nothing in the Gold Saucer has battle content rewards.
Even if Chocobo Racing is pseudo-pvp, it's not battle content.
A revamp of the challenge log, where some weekly items might be morphable would be cool. I think it would be neat if you could choose to play what you want to play and make reasonable progress in what you're interested in. It would be extremely bad if it was like "current end game gear, best way to get it is play the saucer" but obviously that's not what you're asking.
So I think it would be fine, especially in the format that is not going to be a botting or heavily disruptive form. Like challenge log. If each punch from the cuff game gave you 5 tomes, no limit, you'd have an insane botting situation - but a weekly, or anything like that.. I think it's no issue. Naturally Chocobo racing takes more time than the cuff mini-game :P, but I think using the weekly would allow you to have good value rather than really poor value in fear of damaging systems (like 1 per win... lol).
Heck it could be a Faux Hollows, Wonderous Tales, Ishgard Seal, type system too- where it is all cute UI and gamified each week. Could thematically fit very well. Punch out card, members stamp tracking (like their Eorzea Cafe has lol), etc.
For potential counter point, we've mog tomes that provide items from combat content that you can obtain exclusively from non-combat sources. Which I think is fine and neat, if someone wanted to do some non-standard content and make some interesting standard progress. When not exceptionally disruptive at least. Though like my post already, I think such ideas (non-moogle tomes) while neat should be guarded by weekly logs or some sort of faux hollow / wonderous tales like thing.
That's not how this works.
1: It's a level 1 duty.
- This means that it's not going to give you poetics. Poetics are from level 50+ content and ARR Tribal Quests when done with a level 50+ job. Cope.
2: It's a non-combat duty.
- There is no non-combat content that gives you poetics. Wondrous Tails requires you to do 9 Combat Duties.
3: It's a Gold Saucer duty.
- These give you MGP and NOTHING ELSE.
ok grandpa let's get you back to bed.
Also you forgot bow/gun casttimes, MNK/NIN's stances, and pet jank
In every single other MMO/RPG ever, the horse racing minigame doesn't give you experience or the game's main currency. It gives you currency relating to gambling.
Some MMOs/RPGs have fishing mechanics, and they often give EXP. We have fishing and it's its own job.
There is no logical reason to give people PvE rewards for doing minigames outside of the designated event where that happens since we have said event.
Sure I am the gramps for bringing up your fatalism. Apparrently you also need ALL the examples to get what i mean. I just didn't use every example. "That's not how this works"... if that's your line of thinking than nothing can ever be different and that's just sad. Chocobo racing is dead so they could give it another reward.
I have data, it's called the queue. At R-240/300 you're basically guaranteed to run into one other person doing Chocobo Racing, whether it's to farm MGP or wins or level their Chocobo.
Verminion pops even less than Mahjong does, which is saying something. Especially given that you only need 2 people for Verminion.
Can you stop trying to argue the point that a single specific Gold Saucer Duty is worthy of dropping tomestones rather than all of the other ones?
You're in the Gold Saucer to get the Gold Saucer currency. If you want the Combat currency, go do Combat content.
So your personal experience then. Great. How are que times on Oceania been? Might as well use those.
I never argued against other gold saucer duties dropping tomestones. "The combat currency" is actually one of several and can also be gotten from tribes... some of which are crafter / gatherer quests... so "strong" argument from you there...
You're showing your lack of knowledge for the game. Only the combat tribes (4 of the 5 ARR, Vanu and Vath, Kojin and Ananta, Pixie, and the elephant people i can't spell the name of) give tomestones, and that's only if you're above the level at which you'd have obtained EXP from them on-content.
Gathering/Crafting tribes don't give you tomes if you do them at/above their level cap. They don't give you scrip, either.
It's not anecdotal evidence. Try asking in the Achievement Lobby about Verminion. Everyone'll tell you that it's borderline impossible to get an RP match going without asking someone else in or out of game to queue with you, especially during Mogstone events.
I never even looked how little tomestones those dailies give and also not if the crafters and gatheres quests do. Why are you so against non-combat related duties giving tomestones? You can get gil with crafting and buy equipment for battle jobs. So what's the difference? If the que for Verminion is so bad then maybe it should give tomes. Heck make it give a few poetics for 50+ chars and endgame tomes aswell for 90 characters. Don't want to destroy lvl 90 dungeon queues? Just give only a small amount. Then see if it even does something or if people still won't bother.
Please stay on topic and don't get toxic
Exp and tomes are linked? No they are not. I don't think the code is that messy :3 I know what you mean that's how it *has worked so far*. You know things can be changed right? You want faster queues for Verminion? Why not try giving it poetics then? If your actual argument is "that's how it always was" than i guess nothing can ever be changed at all. They gonna have to roll back the graphical update because that's not how FFXIV looked like in 2013! It's just poetics. It wouldn't even "ruin the marketboard" or what crafters cry about sometimes. What's the damage? It may not work true but then you could still remove the reward again or leave it in.
Brain. Damage.
Stop using the "old is bad" fallacy.
If it's not going to do anything, then there's no reason to give poetics. People who care about them are going to keep farming them brainlessly in Zadnor or quickly in Bozja or even quicker by running Coils with first-timers. If it gave Combat EXP, people would do it to level. But now you're against someone who's doing barely anything just to get the EXP, which is slower proportionally than they can get for licking ice in Shatter.
You can make the argument that because Fetes give DoH EXP, this is fine. But why aren't you going to make the argument that Fetes should give DoW/DoM EXP instead?
