What do you think Dawntrails secret 6th zone will be? (6.x Spoiler Warning)

We know the five publicly revealed zones.

What is our Mor Donna, Azys La, The Peaks, The Tempest, Elpis, and Ultima Thule type zone of the new expansion?

(Endwalker kinda had two just saying)

I know we don’t actually have the answer, but I would pin it on something related to the lightning calamity based on current clues. Perhaps in a similar vein to Elpis, we visit a single place on another shard. Perhaps part of a destroyed one. It would tie into Y’shtolas shard storyline.

Idk though, this could be anything. The clues are difficult this time. I ask because it’s fun to make wild estimates, and see where the fan base ended up on its guesses. I want to see how peoples answers stack up after this summer. :3

Well, considering how Ultima Thule came literally from out of nowhere in EW from what everyone was expecting, and even The Tempest in ShB was somewhat... obscured... so I think we have absolutely no idea what it's going to be. By all means, throw out ideas, but they'll probably be wildly off the mark at best.

It will be the place where the Simulation, the Hero of Light is trapped in for the most part of Dawntrail, is powered.

It has to be the City of Gold, whatever that is. Although Solution 9 blew out whatever mid reveal surprise we wouldve had all to just shut up the stupid skeptics that stupidly believed that Dawntrail was only going to be this low stake story.

Im pretty sure thats why they revealed Solution 9, although I guess it being tied yo the 2nd hub also had something to do with it

Area #1: Urqopacha (south west of Tuliyollal)
Area #2: Kozama'uka (south of Tuliyollal)
Area #3: Yak T'el (south east of Kozama'uka)
Area #4: Shaaloani (north of Tuliyollal)
Area #5: Heritage Found (north of Shaaloani)

There is space for Area 6 to be Loazeniheta, to the east of Solution Nine. We already have 3 areas to the south, but if it was there it could be Ty'ak Tyak.

Maybe the City of Gold is a facade with how Solution Nine's description is about facades and perhaps that is part of the mystery. How a city of gold is projected but isn't really there.

We are talking about a mystery area, not a mystery city state, because both city states have been announced. So that could be a reason why the 6th area wouldn't be the City of Gold.

It was already pretty obvious from prior fan fests that it wasn't all just a holiday adventure, it's just the trailer that makes it look that way. This is what the map looks like if you pin all the concept art to where it seems to take place.

The interesting thing I noticed is for once the games areas are all concentrated around a locale. There is no split everywhere Stormblood/Endwalker type situation, which I hope is the norm going forward. If we go to Corvos one day, I want it to stay around that area. If we go to Meracydia, I want it to stay concentrated in that continent. I'm tired of split expansions.

Yes, very interested on what it could be, for reasons you mentioned. If they're showing off Solution 9, what the hell are they NOT showing!? Well, I assume it'll be this "Fabled City of Gold". Sure, that could be Solution 9, but if I were to briefly see or visit it, I would not describe it as "gold". More like "grape" ...the lost city of grape...waitaminute. ....OH GODS SOLUTION 9 IS THE LOW POLY GRAPE DIMENSION!

...don't mind me, it's the 30 hour bout of insomnia talking.

Gonna guess the rest of the sprawl surrounding Solution Nine.

Lordran... after SE misses the mark reviewing player feedback about wanting less braindead and more engaging content they tilt it in the final area to souls like levels resulting in a fortune of new revenue for companies that make keyboards, mice, and controllers after a large chunk of the player base that has been coasting along on auto pilot slam face first into the filter and go into a raging fit. :P lol

That would actually be incredible. I have always wanted them to do that again, because even though the Doman Enclave itself wasn't a zone, it is a third city that we had to rebuild, and it was awesome. I want a new secret like that. It broke the mold of a typical expansion. Stormblood is to this day the only expansion that had 6 zones, and THREE cities. No I'm not counting Ala Mhigo. They really should have given it proper city state access by the end of the expansion.

It could be, but we have 3 zones to the south of the New World already, and only 2 in the north. So it seems logical the third would be in the north as well.

However, given the video I linked has trees and grass it also doesn't fit in that barren desert land in the north, so maybe. It's also possible the north east area isn't as barren.

I mean, if you count the Doman Enclave then we should count Terncliff in Shadowbringers.

Arguably, the beast tribes have introduced new areas like that too, such as Lyhe Mheg and the Elysian fields.

I like a lot of FFIX zones, Lifa tree, Lindblum, Ceres (celes?) can't remember the name of the desert tree place, the hidden grotto where you get Excalibur, freaking chocobo paradise yes please.

I feel there might have been some FFX inspiration, so I'd toss out the Farplane as a very wild looking.

One thing though, given the cyberpunk district as being revealed - I'm really excited to see what the 'reveal' zone is.

Ok, so is it a solution to a some problem? What problem? Is this an Ascian thing related to a calamity? Well we only had 7 calamities (8 counting the doomed timeline).

What about an Imperial thing? If there was more red the buildings would seem quite imperial.

Ok, ok…maybe not imperials…but then why so purple? Is that lightning aether? Does that mean it is floating above Heritage Found and powered by lightning magic in the area? Pseudo Midgar?

This really. They don't hesitate to make things like that a dungeon. Ala Mhigo was. Doma Castle was.

It's worth noting that Emet-Selch mentions the city of gold and he is absolutely someone who could have seen if it actually exists.

He also refers to it as "golden cities". Not "golden city". That nuance is quite significant as it suggests there is more than one.

He also calls them "fabled", which means:

1. famous, especially by reputation.
2. mythical; imaginary.

Imaginary. Facade. Similar words here.
