I'd dump my FC if I could have a workshop to launch subs, etc. in my med house. That is the only thing I enjoy about having a FC.

Its doubtful its going to happen. It would be more than tripling the number of workshops, and each one is a gil fountain. They already consider workshops just this side of acceptable.
I don’t necessarily need a workshop but I’d like to have the ability to add a FC-like room, and/or let tenants have rooms in your house. :)
Yes please, I too would only use my private home if my alts can have their own rooms like in a FC along with the workshop.
I have no issue with adding personal workshops/submersibles, just don't tie them to personal housing
I think adding a Workshop to private estates would be a bad idea.
Island Sanctuary would be a better way, you'd need MSQ progress and level, at minimum it would boost SE online store sales of Skips by a huge amount.
Everyone can get an Island Sanctuary, unlike the current housing Wards-Plot system, if Private estates had access to workshops say goodbye to any chance of even trash small plots being available.
As a case in point Yosiha (sorry don't have a link) said they were looking into this. Now we all know looking and doing are not the same thing.
They should make submarines much harder to use and launch... and even to acquire.
You can just send them out doing daily cash grabs which is bad for the inflation.... for normals housing to have so absolutely not.. for FCs to have one... it needs to be harder to operate, and would say would need 40 people in FC to be able to launch 4 at a time, as well as 2FC members grouped to be able to launch one, 8 to be able to launch 4, which should be an option only able to be done once per day at max.
It would make more sense to be having Free Companies as well, as well as active members, right now a single person can just horde GIL, with little to no effort, and don't give me the crap that these ships and submarines is difficult to build. because they are not.
Devil's Advocate: what is wrong with players being able to hoard gil?
With the exception of the purchase of housing, gil serves little purpose other than convenience and instant gratification once you complete the 2.0 MSQ.
There are few valuable gil sink items in the game and they're all vanity.
Inflation on the marketboards only impacts players as far as they rely on convenience and instant gratification instead working towards being self-sufficient.
Personally I don't see a problem with letting players have personal workshops. If anything, it has the potential to lower prices of items that are only obtained through workshops as the supply of those items increase.
Rather than make workshops more difficult to get, all SE needs to do is remove the Salvaged Accessories.
