Give me Hissatsu: Kaiten or give me Hissatsu: Seppuku

6.1 took what was previously my favorite job by far and made it completely unenjoyable.

If we had Hissatsu: Seppuku to reset our job to level 50 as a way to protest these changes, I'd do it - no point in having a level 90 samurai in 6.1 anyway.

I would love a refund on all the tomestones I spent on Striking gear.

OP does not appear to know that Seppuku is ritualistic suicide. There is no such thing in this game, nor should anyone be advocating for it.

Say you're upset. Just don't be that One Person that has everyone shaking their head.

Not to mention that seppuku "jokes" are often used to denigrate Japanese people and East Asians in general since bigots don't typically bother with learning the differences between their respective cultures.

The title is a play off "Give me liberty or give me death." - I thought that would be obvious - and between that and the hypothetical reset to level 50, I clearly know what seppuku is.

I'm not actually advocating for the dev team to implement ritualistic suicide - I thought that would be obvious - I'm merely saying that the 6.1 changes to samurai are egregious enough that if I could reset to level 50 as a means to protest them, I would.

Say what you mean. Do not use what you consider clever euphemisms. I know what you meant, and I didn't like your flippant reference, especially due to the fact that this game is written first and foremost for a Japanese audience.

Kaiten is not liberty. The Seppuku reference was in bad taste at best.

In all probability, I knew who Patrick Henry was before you were born.

"Give me liberty or give me death" was not used as a joke back then, and it shouldn't be used in that manner now.

I'd love a refund on all the gil I spent overmelding to basically max out my crit stat.
Now that we're auto-critting, I might as well pull out most of my materia and put it into DH and Det. Or go full memelord and run SpeedSAM.

Also, we had Stormblood; they understand the concept of 'liberty or death.' It was kinda introduced along with the Samurai in the game. They would get the joke, ffs.

Probably worth mentioning that the MSQ also has literal suicide in it, and he's not advocating for Square to throw in trigger warnings and outright remove that part from the story.

Bad news for you. Seppuku is in the game. There are enemies that use it as a move, and a certain roegadyn samurai attempts to commit it on at least two separate occasions. Oh, and there are several self-terminations found through the MSQ; some implied, others shown. :) Perhaps you should take umbrage with SE for including these.

But wait, there's more; let's not forget the enemies that execute a technique called Harakiri and promptly explode.
