Now that summoner has received a revamp do you guys think SMN is going to finally get access to shiva, leviathan, and Ramuh in the future? Kinda of weird thing that they didn’t incorporate them with such a big revamp.

Saving it for next expac.
Easy implementation without upsetting the flow.
Agreed.
They could replace Ifrit/Garuda/Titan after the Phoenix phase, but their effect would need to be similar to the other summons, to make planning on the rotation consistent, as this part of planning is a big part of the new SMN optimization. (decide when to use long cast, when to use instant casts etc)
Which means it would be kinda pointless and just a different color to the same thing...
So yeah, having them consume Aetherflow would make sense I agree.
I honestly wish they would just add leviathan, ramuh, and shiva glamours on top of garuda, titan and ifrit. The job has always felt very incomplete from the perspective of not having access to shiva, ramuh and leviathan this far into the game's life.
We're on the 4th expansion pack of the game if you count heavensward as the first expansion. Jobs like BLM have been building on top of a base that have been around since 2.0. SMN has already had many minor revisions since its implementation.
As happy as I am with the changes, we're basically starting at square 1 again. I feel like had this been our job from 2.0 (with them finally adding the primal summons at 90), we would have had leviathan, shiva, and ramuh-egi added somewhere between 46-80.
My fear is that they add them in 7.0 and then we have this 2 minute rotation where we have Bahamut - Garuda, Titan, Ifrit - Phoenix - Leviathah - Shiva - Ramuh and have big penalties for dying
The simplest reason lore wise why we will never get a Shiva summon is that we do not dare summon even a copy of her and it get back to Hraesvelgr. He has already made it clear that he was not happy with Ysayle and he trusts us to honor her memory.
I quite literally do not care about lore in this regard seeing as how half the playerbase runs around in froggy suits and flying cars. Give us Shiva, Leviathan, Ramuh, Alexander, and all the classic summons whether as glam or unique abilities.
We are long past the point where we should allow lore to restrict people's fun and overall class fantasy.
Now I'm the last person to let lore get too much in the way of a cool idea, but I think they might shut that down. Although the idea of the look on Ryne's face after coming back to see us again later on and then seeing us go Shiva after specifically telling her its a bad idea to do so is honestly absolutely hilarious.
This is the first time since the start of 2.0 that I'm considering to main SMN and that's saying something. I hope we get more in the future but so far SMN looks amazing. :D
This isn't the issue you think it is. What Hraesvelgr was against was Ysayle acting like she was HIS Shiva as she believed that she was her, reincarnated. Shiva the primal, on the other hand, is just a creation of Ysayle's. The primal is no more the original Shiva as Garuda is the original Garuda or King Moggle Mog is Moglin.
About Phoenix, the twins loved their grandfather a lot. Seeing him as Phoenix, a thrall of Bahamut, was obviously painful. But, seeing him as Phoenix, defender of Eorzea, would be a point of pride for them. I would argue the same of Bahamut as well. Originally, he was a protector of his people against the Allagans, so we honor his memory by using him for a force of good.
That brings up a good point, the only time we have faced Shiva is through body possession. Our perception would always be colored by that experience. So would we summon Ysayle as Shiva, Rynn as Shiva, or some version we make up in our heads? As Summoners, we focus on using primal essence in our summons. But before Shiva, we don't have any evidence of an ice-based primal in story or legend. on the other hand, like I said about Phoenix, we could summon Shiva as a means to honor the memory of Ysayle, still fighting to prtect Hydaelyn.
SMN plays more like Evoker from the earlier games, with two varieties depending on the Summoning. That being said, I do think they could squeeze in Ramuh, Leviathan, and Shiva next expansion and so the flow goes Ifrit > Titan > Garuda > Bahamut > Ramuh > Leviathan > Shiva > Phoenix > Ifrit
I want what nobody else seems to be asking for: A Good King Moggle Mog XII summon.
King Moggle Mog can be the bunny of SMN
Alternatively they could make that one some kind of 180s cooldown to do something, either big damage or utility.
But regarding the OP... I do think they are "saving" extra gemstones to the next expansion, so the SMNs will have something to look forward to.
Maybe those will be activated after Demi Phoenix, so you won't just repeat the previous 3 gems.
Fail to make any summons or related attacks within certain timer periods should result in one of the king's moogle followers appearing on your head.
The fact its been this long and we still dont have them is kinda silly but ya know next expansion(?) yay!
