It happened in other mmos before , like pso2 so why it can't happen in ffxiv?
It would be really nice if we got cosmetics like miku's outfit and maybe long twintails , but i will be happy with anything as long as we get a collaboration.

Well for one, the devs said when they want to do a colab event it has to fit into the game and it takes like a year to plan.
On top of that it's deal has to be made.
Please no...
Panty and stocking with garterbelt crossover too
That would be a great idea! I would love to have her skirt and top for my glamour collection. They could even make an orchestration roll featuring her on it!
Only if we get her hairstyle ! ♥
My friend would love this I believe
I'd rather have a crossover event that wasn't focused on feminine aesthetics/female characters - especially with the sharp increase in the number of people arriving to the game who are picking male characters to play as.
Honestly i don’t think 14 needs another heavily feminine event. Don’t we already have little ladies day or whatever it’s called. I’d rather we have an event that has either equal outfits or hairstyles or a male outfit one for once.
While I love vocaloid music, I don't know if it's exactly fit into the game.
there are male vocaloids too

If we are pushing for ludicrous cross overs, when can I get a Guilty Gear cross over Yoshi?
I am down for this if it means I can hear my WoL sing.
No thanks. Vocaloid aren't really characters so much as personified trademarks. And it's already bad enough listening to bards twanging away on their guitars without a tinny, twee vocoder feature in the game.
I'm gonna throw out Berserk as a decent crossover idea. Or FromSoftware's Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Sekiro/Elden Ring.
Better idea....mix it into the Little Ladies Day Holiday Event.
It would be a perfect blend of a Collab and an In-game event.
Suikoden collab first.
Both Suikoden and FFXIV take a lot from The Eternal Champion books.
Maybe it would pressure Konami into finally finishing the series.
How in the seven hells have we not gotten any kind of Mana cross-over yet!? That series has no end of cute little creatures that are begging to be minions. And imagine having a Flammie mount!
Okay, so...
It's in the gold saucer, and not out in the world. Happens in the center stage area, projected and all that. Rows and rows of fans around it at the performances (that are interactive events every 20 minutes). However running something like that takes a lot of work and effort, your sent to goblins and other "tech" teams to bring in people to keep working on it.
If your in the square for the event, it's basically a reskin of the pheonix fight DDR segment. Pass it for tokens. Turn in tokens for awards.
With the main quest only in the gold saucer, a place where things are already strange, it's safely contained.
I totally agree with you that Suikoden would be a fantastic series for a collaboration, but I think we both know that Konami is just not going to let it happen. Eiyuden Chronicles might be a possibility in the future, though. Perhaps Octopath Traveler?
Regarding the OP, personal preference aside (I don't personally like Hatsune Miku), it would be interesting to have a collaboration Little Ladies Day event with Hatsune Miku, in the sense that they might be able to do a bit more than make us pretend that we heard a girl group singing and watch them do a little dance... but I also think that Yoshi's team wouldn't have it in them to be able to take advantage of such a collaboration and make an elaborate dance routine or something along those lines, so it would kind of be a waste of effort (all that negotiation, all that planning, etc.) just for the sake of getting another set of pig tails and maybe an outfit.
Miku is in everything from My Little Pony to Super Robot Wars, she actually fits in everything.
I for one am patiently waiting for a Super Sentai or Kamen Rider event (even more wishful thinking in PvP) We already have the poses!

Wake me up when we get a Bravely Default collab.
The thing with PSO2 is that Sega has the rights to Hatsune Miku's appearance in video games.
That said, I'd be down with her appearing in some capacity in FFXIV.
If we are talking crossovers, I would like to see more fun mini games tied to other SE properties.
Essentially Dragon Quest, Secret of Mana or other Final Fantasy titles.
As an example, in Guildwars 2, there is a thing called The Super Adventure Box, which is a riff on nostalgic games of like..the 80/90s. Basically low rez action adventure game completely separate from the main game. In game lore , it’s basically a Nintendo. (The NPC inventor’s name is Moto, and he hopes to impress his crush, Miya as an example of the ridiculous level of references).
For FFXIV, it would be nice to see some of their multiplayer arcade-esque games I could play with in game friends using these properties. Even a Crystal Chronicals rouge-like with the miasma could be fun.
The problem with most of my idea is it’d basically just be better to make a new, separate game.
It’s possible with Allagan technology.
Ya'll aren't getting anything back from SEGA, just gonna be honest. Even if SEGA wanted to, I don't think Yoshi would green light it.
1. PSO aesthetic does not fit in with the world of FF14. PSO2/NGS is literally a game to express your creativity (and lewdness) to the fullest so they don't really have any restrictions on what themes or aesthetics they add into it for character creator, weapons,, etc. For example: I have a rod weapon camo that is a neon vacuum cleaner. In terms of character creation, you're capable of inflating your boobas to comical proportions and use different items to create new outfits (there's someone who's taken random accessories and created an Among Us character). That's why there's thousands of items available in base PSO2 from different animes, movies and just the staff's own creativity. They don't want people to look the same at all and you'll be hard pressed to find someone that does look similar to another person.
FF14 will be looking to keep to the usual "SE look" with their collabs and probably will want to steer clear of any of the lewd/provocative clothing that 90% of the NPC characters wear.
2. SEGA is neck deep in trying to get PSO2:NGS up and running and are focusing heavily on pushing out gacha items and running in-house collabs (Sonic collab is going on right now).
3. Yokai is an event simply because of the relationship between Yoshi and whoever is in charge of Yokai. It's been said before.
Look i’m not even for this collab, but this is kind of a dumb argument. We literally got nier, a series full of scantily clad women, some even being portrayed as nude. In game we literally got the 2b set which has everyone’s asscheeks out. Not to mention the raid boss that’s literally a bunch of naked mannequins jumping onto each other. Nier doesn’t fit with 14, it’s literally agreed to be the worst collab and raid series to date. It was a joke, and was obviously only put in for fanservice and yoshi p’s relationship with yoko taro.
You know what would make a better crossover/collab alliance raid series in my opinion? Xenogears.
