My partner has had their account suspended because they tried to report a link in the chat log the person who put the link in chat took control of his character and took them to another world and started spamming the link into the chat log his account was suspended because of this when he was trying to make them aware of this he has submitted a ticket but been waiting on reply live chat does not work and no reply from anyone what can we do to get his account unsuspended? :(

I'm confused.
Your friend got their character taken over and suspended as a result? That means they clicked and shared their login info to the people behind the fraudulent link.
I thought these type of things was dead serious obvious.
Were they perma banned? If yes, they can fight the suspension but need to contact the support.
If it wasn't perma it will lift after some time (is specified in the email they got from SE). -

His account got taken over because the went to a boosting site and got his PC infected with a logger or worse, paid someone to do something on his character.

They have not been permabanned and they have submitted a ticket but no word from SE at this time they logged into the lodestone to let them know of the link and then they were banned.

They weren't banned for reporting the link. Their account was suspended because they fell for a pushing scam and the accou t got reported after it got hijacked.
They just need to contact support to have the account restored...
And maybe not fall for phishing scams. -

They tried to report the link on lodestone so they copied the link and then they had control of his account he didnt click it :)

Uh merely copying and pasting the link in a report wouldn't let them take over his character. That's not how links work. They had to have visited the site in question themselves.

To report someone in game in the future open the main menu, go to "support desk" and click "contact us" :) -

So this guy (apparently) knew it was a phishing scam link, logged in using the phishing scam link, and "reported" the scam to the scammers?

I'm going to assume the victim in question thought that only the "post" in the phishing link was fraudulent, not the link itself.
Though that in itself is flawed because you don't need to be logged in to view posts on the official forums in the first place.
