Those raids are overstuffed on on the alliance roulette as it is, now ppl are going to be getting them constantly, why couldn't you give the level 60 or 70 raids some exposure, i'm fed up of running syrcus tower for the 100th time.

Guess alliance roulette will be getting an influx of nudists
I'm... Confused why they didn't do something like the HW 24-mans. Those are almost non-existent on the Roulette. If you suggest there's some lore reason.... Doing HW 60 dungeons/Leveling Roulette and fates in HW areas weren't exactly much with lore to begin with.
Rumours say 2and Step requires Mhach and Ivalice.
Yeah, from what I've seen the 2nd step tokens drop from Mhach and Ivalice raids, but with the alternative option to... farm Stormblood fates.
SE knows its the least seen raid and again, we get to farm it. Earlier relics involved CT many times too. And I dont want to understand why they lock the relic behind the most boring content in FFXIV. Lets not forget all the new gauges, skills and abilities are locked, unusable. The most zzz-relic grind up to date.
It's horrible actually. 15 crystal tower runs PER relic. CEs over in Bozja only have a CHANCE at dropping ONE memory. You are better off spamming crystal tower raids. People are gonna be in there for a LONG time.
Is it really a "soul-crushing grind" though? Get a couple a day and you are done in a week.
This is just step 1 of 3
If the other 2 steps work with similar drop rates, then yes
(18 tokens each from mhach/gyr abania fates and Ivalice/orthard fates for step 2. 15 tokens from the new reginae raid or potd for step 3)
Yeah, so it's looking like:
255 Runs of Crystal Tower
612 Stormblood Fates
Remains to be seen if the final token is a guaranteed drop from the new raid. Otherwise, I forsee a lot of POTD in my future.
Crafters have to make expert recipes, the third or fourth hardest level 80 recipe in the game for their relic.
Battle classes run level 50 crystal tower.
Haha..
CT again -__- It can't be more boring.
And no guaranted drop from CEs.
At this point, it's pretty obvious that SE doesn't want us in Bozja.
I'm so tired of this.
What's next? 50 MSQ roulettes ?
Lol, this is what happens when people complain about not wanting the relic to be tied to its own content and needing to be "casual friendly".
I am good. I don't need the relic. There is higher ilvl weapons with better stats than that thing.
The other option is to not rush the weapon, just have the quest active and collect tokens when alliance roulette throws you into CT - which is most of the time.
I understand if content is meant to be lasting. I actually support this, since many previous steps can be done... rather fast and without hassle.
But this content isnt FAIR and nor really REWARDING. Critical Engagements are already "rare" and dont pop every so often. I dont see why the droprate cannot be 100% like a 20min CT2 run.
Still a walk in the park compared to the pre-nerf HW relics, or heck the ARR relics though I was never around for their release.
Besides, the relics are still tied to their own content since you have to do Bozja and Castrum and the new 24 man raid to get to the point where you can grind the alliance raids, so your point is moot.
I'd rather chalk it up to devs not knowing what they're doing and making both sides unhappy
It is tied to Bozja though as you can't start the new relic quest unless you've completed the previous Bozja quests which means getting to level 10 in there and doing the Castrum.
How about the dev team actually be inventive and not fall back on extremely lazy alternatives? People are allowed to criticise Eureka while equally wanting something better than "spam Crystal Tower a bazillion times." Hell, why not Ivalice and Mhachi raids if their only alternative is spamming old content? There's absolutely no reason incentivize Crystal Tower more than it already is.
Except they're just angering the same demographic when the whole point of an alternative method was so people who didn't like the "public dungeon" aspect could still partake in the relic. Forcing them to do Bozja is forcing them to grind up to rank 10 and complete two of the very "public dungeons" they didn't like to begin with. And Castrum has become increasingly harder to do now since no one has any incentive to bother with it.
Even if people did, this fixes absolutely nothing because you still have to engage with and complete Bozja, that's the exact same as Eureka.
The pessimist in me would say that they originally intended you to be able to complete all of the relic stages outside of it, but then they saw how little interest people actually had in Bozja and how fast the content died. So they now require you to complete it because they want to be able to call it a success.
The new one has a reason to run it, at least once a week; you pretty much get a free piece of 510 gear that makes you look like a Judge from XII. As well as the new mount, a minion, and a few other things drop in there. But yeah, I loved the difficulty of the normal dungeon, wasn't too frustrating to me once we learned the patterns, but for more casual players it may prove frustrating.
I was exactly the same with Eureka, in fact I never bothered with anything after Pagos. But Bozja feels better than Eureka in everyway so far.
The story really picks up at rank 10, and Castrum and Denubrae are effectively new alliance raids.
Imagine how hyped everyone would be if this weekend they announced "6.0 is getting 5 Alliance Raids instead of 3" and yet... no one wants to do the 2 extra ones we've got in Shadowbringers...
More content is nice, but not when it's locked behind boring fate grinding and having to sit around waiting for it to show up every hour only for a chance to possibly get in and do it.
Call me crazy but I don't see what's so fun about doing grindy content just so I can do more grindy content for a weapon that's probably only marginally better than the stuff from Emerald weapon.
The real question is why aren't the pieces guaranteed drops in Bozja? If you want this content to live, give it reason to. Yes, these things are guaranteed in CT and the other raids as well. But if you make it guaranteed inside Bozja, people will actually do it since you could possibly get more in less time.
