LMAO, honestly lowkey relatable sometimes
Everyone has same 33% winning chance, stop crying about it.
If you are below that margin, the very chance is you are the problem and you are not addressing it
but if I win 24 more games I get a cool horse or whatever ! ! !
ultimately my problem with frontline is that like most other game modes there's chase items, but unlike every other game mode where your input affects your ability to get that chase item, that simply isn't true for frontline. It's sheer RNG and anyone who thinks otherwise is extremely confused. Once you're in a match, your personal performance does not dictate the outcome of that match. It's predetermined. They could solve a match once teams are sorted and just hand the win out immediately because the outcome can be determined algorithmically from that point.
So by creating something to desire, and because desire is the root of suffering, frontline creates a source of suffering where previously suffering did not exist. And it certainly never needed to exist.
I suspect frontline is actually a buddhist hell-realm where ogres boil the participants alive for thousands of years. And of course you might think the ogres are having a great time but it's important to remember they're in hell too.
don't reply to this post, just say a prayer to jizo instead
Fights aren't RNG...some people are able to consistently get kills and build battle high, because they have the experience and skills to do so.
Also, you may want to rethink about matches being predetermined. Close games exist, and thrown games pop up more frequently.
Enjoy your struggle for that PvP horse
In the short term I'll be doing content that's fun since some of that got added today, but yes I suspect at some point I'll come back to afking through games and complaining on the forums while doing so, thanks! Incidentally since I've won games I afk through that means I should keep doing it right? Since you think personal contribution matters, and that was my method of contributing to get a win, so if I want to keep winning, I should take the same approach right?
Your FF14 and your subscription, don’t make it like I would care
You are not on Primal and that I wouldn’t even give it a dime of what you do
Even you are on the Primal, do you really thinks I would even care?
People afk in Neir Raid and still got drop, what is your point?
They're not going to remove Frontlines and I'll keep queuing it because it's fun! ^_^
I am not sure if US high school will touch Probability in the mathematic course; but it doesn't change the fact that everyone still has same probability of 33% Win, 33% 2nd Place, and 33% 3rd place.
There will be factors that able to impact that probability but still doesn't change the fact.
Take my main character for example, I am able to pull a record of 38%/42%/20% after 12,000ish matches; but i am still nevertheless has 33% chance to win a match every time I enter one.
On other hand, if a player's result is lower 33%, it is really is either this player AFK too much or die too much and act like a dead weight to whole team.
imagine not understanding how streaks work yeah bruh I literally want to play the 69,420,420 matches required to have a big enough dataset to make a probabilistic argument about win % lmao
or do you smoothbrains think if you queue for 3 games in a row you will always win exactly 1 of them
I won 4/4 times in a row in the casino I guess god has blessed me and me personally everyone else just needs to learn how to play the slot machine LOL
The Top 3 players on the Weekly Top 100 ladder for Frontlines in your data center (Crystal) have 70+ wins... in a single week with-and-without a premade! \o/
#1 player on the Monthly Top 100 ladder for Frontlines (also a friend of mine) earned 304 wins last month!
Better yet, look at all the players on that list. They win more than you! ^_^

is this the page you're seeing all your friends listed on just curious
I shouldn't be asking, because it's really none of my business, but I'm curious.
What is your problem with frontlines besides RNG?
I mean in large part it's basically that.
- The game lures you in with desirable items that can actually be obtained via game understanding or effort
- once invested, the player is introduced to an item to be desired that can't be obtained via game understanding or effort, but fundamentally revolves around RNG.
- because desire is the root of suffering, the player now suffers pointlessly in ways they didn't need to.
Partial credit towards the achievement for second place and this is less of a problem (though, to reiterate, still fundamentally RNG)
Achievements based on personal performance rather than uncontrollable game outcome and this is less of a problem (though it's obviously easier to perform better with a team that can support it - so, certainly still a degree of RNG)
Make the achievements number of games played and simply extend them out for a greater number and this is less of a problem.
People may argue against that last one saying the mounts are "for skill" or whatever but that's not a failure to understand this solution that's a failure to understand that winning and losing is fundamentally random - people who want the mounts to represent "skill" shouldn't want it to require wins, they should want it to require personal performance. Requiring wins is more about the assigned team which is, again, entirely random.
Nope. These ones:

I mean, if you want to play your hand at a casino, by all means. But your odds of winning are far less than Frontlines' average of 33.33%. XD
Also, Frontlines is so refreshing to me. ^_^
I didn't click those links but I assure you that they are in fact the same as the link I posted.
seal rocks fun
all should be reworked into 2 team games though
Don't bother.
The moment he throws out "Casino" and "Hot Streak" you should already realize his academic level is not sustain enough for him to understand the fact that it is also under Probability.
"Hot Streak"? Lmao, do you know how many people lost their wealth (even life) because they believed in that foolish idea.
There is no point to communicate with him as most of us are playing Frontline for fun but he is playing for the mount.
Just looks the quality of content in his post compares a guy before him is posting because he is really want to improve.
The only reason I respond to him is because he's making a suggestion (to the devs) to make the rewards easier to obtain... when players like you and me can get an ADS mount easily in less than 2 weeks time (premade) and within a month (solo).
PvP rewards should be EARNED, instead of asking the devs to make it easier to obtain. It's a grindy process, but when I got my mounts and wore the hard earned Frontlines armor set (Field Commander), it was a really good experience for me. ^_^ "Hand of Mercy" title felt great too. So my counter suggestion is to keep it as it is... 33.33% except for those that take the time and energy to learn how to PvP.
I love PVP , i am not good at i , but I do really like it.
Funny how that works.
I am at 28.7% wins
32.4% 2nd
37.7% 3rd
out of 977 matches
Oh , and I miss the old PVP when it first came out , when gear mattered and your skills mirrored your PVE skills.
So , NO , please keep my frontlines.
I will say I enjoyed Frontlines a lot more when we could queue as full premades and before forced freelancer.
From experience in frontline there are a lot of players who think they are good at frontline but reality are quite bad. They lose the matches because they only understand about taking objective and ultimatly dont understand the core concept which is pvping.
Too many times i see people rushing to try grab as many objective at start. While this may seem like a smart idea its actually terrible. And im going to explain why.
Late game it doesnt matter if you have a lot of points and no battle high because if you try take or defend objective the other 2 teams who have been fighting will run you over and farm down your points.
The proper way to win frontline is generally to secure early battle high.
It's also generally very bad to let 2 teams just go at it for ages.If you do it means you are not getting bh meanwhile both enemy teams will have numerous bh usually.Or you have one team that snowballs out of control into a huge stack of bh5
What this means is later when you are ahead on points they will turn on you and then you become the prey and your lead will be destroyed.
Any decent player knows the value of building early battle high trumps objective at start.
I also see way too many people picking ranged.I know people think because they are ranged its safer and easier to play but in reality if you have too many ranged the enemies melees and tanks will run them over and get fed bh very fast.
The other huge mistake i see is people splitting in different directions to take multiple objectives making your team really weak when contested by an enemy gc.Sometimes even resulting in being stomped by 2 gcs in different areas.
This is not being strategic this is just blatant feeding and gifting the enemy gc's free battle high.
Seal rock can be a lot of fun. That aside I have found that even if someone has no interest if someone is willing to take charge and provide simple and clear directions most will follow.
Frontline is just a brick wall I continually smash my face against just for glamours. I don't do it to learn pvp, it's not fun (taking a belt sander to my face would produce more dopamine than a win in frontlines). That's it, that's all there is to it, a glam and when I'm done with it and I've gotten my glam I will cast it aside like any other broken and pathetic excuse of an item in my life.
I would love if they added something like small scale pvp such as CtF or just a deathmatch. But I don't see that happening because they've had how many years to put that into the game and yet here we are.
Frontline is complete crap. There is nothing fun about these chaotic 3 way matches where nothing you do makes a difference where some people become pretty much unkillable once they get that battle high. FF14 would be faaaaaaar better off if PvP was removed completely and resources better used elsewhere.
Seek professional help if you're contemplating self-harm.
This is not personal but you are best illustration of why I am against the idea of use reward to bait PvE players into PvP.
This type of people has no intention to learn or improve but they are taking advantage of PvP has more tolerance over dead weight players.
If this is any PvE content, this type of players will be vote kick already.
When you are trying to teach or lead, this type of players are also the main obstacles because they will keep spit out the following:
"You don't pay my subscription"
"Are you angry over a game?"
