Aww yeah, Pearl Jam materia.
.....Neat.
Does this means primals weapon gives out better materia?
I have probably dropped a dozen of Ifrit's Harpoon just from helping people. :(
Comunity: we value your shit before even seen it
Im sure I can find threads of people NPCing items (Ex. Paragons Crown). Sounds like the same scenario right? Pretty sure accidents happen =p
At least one person sold his all jobs crown, and they changed it so you can't sell certain items anymore. Also yeah I'm pretty stupid, I accidentally materia all of it.
Converting is easier then selling, you know at least one person is going to mess up and post a QQ topic about it, probably within the first week.
The real question is, why on earth would anyone WANT to materia a primal weapon? WHY give people the option to, it's not like you can hold two of them in your inventory at one time. Only feasible excuse is if you get another drop of one you own and you materia it instead of dropping it and geting a new one instead of reparing.
Yeah I edited it, kinda shell shocked at this change, almost beyond words in disgust.
i wish they would take a look at blood/mana/lifethirst. they all need to be upped.
thinking the new materia with multiple stats will follow the same flow as current leg materia, t4; 7-10.
More then most likely, would much rather all the current materia be re-evaluated instead of getting more materia taking up rng slots from the ones I want. You can't just buff enmity materia and ignore all the resistance, defense, meva, eva, parry, crit potency things that no one uses cause they don't boost it enough.
lol bloodthirst doesn't need to be upped. If anything it needs to be reined in a little so it's not on body/waist/legs/feet/hands/shield. Probably too late for that but oh well. Manathirst/Lifethirst are really crappy, though.
Overall, though.... whatever? Materia is boring. As long as it's not still destroying any reason to go get real gear who cares. If the best way to get good gear becomes farm darkhold crap drops->convert them at natalan wolves->gamble materia on +1 crap then that will be a problem.
I have 7/7 for both ifrit and moogle, and every time I got a drop I already had I would drop it and pick up the new one to save my g5 dark matter that was so rare. Sure would have been nice to materia it instead for me but there is no reason to materia those weapons if you can't carry two at a time, it's like I'd have to spirit bond all my weapons before going to farm people tokens in case I get another drop (that should be tradeable to the person who wants it, but thats another topic) so I can get some random shiity materia instead of free repair.
I see a lot of confusion/speculations-turned-into-definite-conclusions around here, so...
Devs, please a bit of clarification;
When you post "Body Part", do you mean which slot the Materia can be slotted into, or is it only possible to obtain the materia from items which are of that "Body Part"?
Does the new gear that can be materialised have any significant better output of materia than normal equipment?
i can pretty much guarantee i will never use 90%~ of that materia...
thats some good implementation lol.
If the Store Tp can get me from getting 1000tp in 3 hits to getting 1000tp in just 2 hits, I'm going to be a very happy War Tank.
Besides that, the crit and block materias are junk now lol
ILU KUMA
Corselet, as far as I know, only offers ~16 extra TP per hit (with Store TP +40), yet in a 2-4 minute fight it adds about 5-10 DPS; as of yet I've only seen a DPS difference like that derived from weapons with more base dmg. In longer fights, when you aren't TP capped for the majority of the fight, that extra TP, as little as it seems, could go a very long way.
The way I see it, I could either get a little extra dmg. done per hit/WS (depending on meld), or I could have enough TP to use an extra combo or two. Obv, I'd prefer the latter.
Pfft, well, yes, sorry it's late hahah. But I don't think any of the store TP will give you THAT much of an increase, tbh. I think it'll be in increments similar to Savage Might, so ~60 for III's, and ~70-80 for IV's. That'll still be a great increase, of course, but nothing over 200 TP per hit
They didn't abolish multi-melding then, how disappointing.
Nothing to suggest they are removing tiers within tiers either, man are these devs stupid, if they truly wanted to help lessen the burden on inventory the first thing they should be doing is consolidating materia to one tier.
Good job at fixing enmity. Now fix all the other crappy materias, like evasion, resists, defense, crit rate (magical and physical).
If someone else can put materia onto my char in the same sense of repairs, does this include stacking?
Say for example, I want some materia, I put the request up, maybe I go afk, go to shop, go to bed, w/e, some guy comes, throws the materia on, another guy comes, he tries the 2nd one, then someone else comes tries 3rd, fails, my item gone?
Is it just as fast as repairing, so someone could effectively spam materia and break your item, not sure if it mentions this, didnt read it all, but that be a bit annoyings
So no, no one can stack it or break your gear for you.Quote:
* This method allows only the melding of the first piece of materia to any given item.
Going to take a guess and say Ifrit weapons make Crit Potency & HP materia and Moogle weapons make accuracy store tp materia.
And it better be 100% conversion to tier IV materia for that kind of a sacrifice.
Oh yeah, could we get some decent materia for head slot?
Melee have brains too you know.
Really dissapointed they haven't added a DEX + PIE materia for pants slot since they have the other combinations.
There's nothing wrong with being able to convert U/U equipment into materia
...The problem is they need to give us a reason to do so. Allow specific equipment to become specific materia. Imagine if all of the open world NM's drops were guaranteed to convert into certain materia? Just as an example, if Elmlord's Tusk would always become a +crit potency materia (Tiers 1-4, of course)? That would keep those NM's relevant (Unlike they are now) as they become a sure fire way to get what you're looking for.
Taking it a step further, they need to create new, unique materia that can ONLY be obtained by converting certain weapons. Another example (And this is without balance in mind, just an idea), what if Ifrit's Battleaxe could me melded into the "Ifrit's Rage" materia, which when slotted into weapons gave them a chance to proc fire damage? Again, a fantastic way to keep old content relevant, and would add a lot more customization to character building
I hope that with the addition of U/U gearing being convertible to materia we're getting that much closer to being able to attach materia to said gear.
No they don't? the double stat materias are broken into mage stats and melee stats. MND INT PIE = mage stats STR DEX VIT = melee stats. the materias are as follows:
MAGE MATERIA COMBOS:
PIE INT
PIE MND
INT MND
MELEE MATERIA COMBOS
STR VIT
STR DEX
VIT DEX
there are no cross stat materia like STR and MND or INT and STR or DEX and PIE
They don't have, but they should have.
