The wedding outfits are unisex now. So you can have your Hrothgar in Bridesmaid and Viera in Tailcoat.
Some geat changes/additions, others maybe not so much, only one that I can see for myself that I find disappointing really is the "Gil is no longer given as a reward when submitting collectibles". It wasn't a huge amount granted but it was nice.
I will enjoy the solo aspect when progressing company projects
So, does anyone else read the Patch Notes and deduct that you need to do the MSQ to unlock Savage?
That seems somewhat hindering for some statics, or people that don't have any time to play through the MSQ before Raid and are forced to skip.
Hold up, Qitari beast tribes is for Disciple of Land only? Oft, guess I gotta start leveling some crafters then.
"Solo players may now advance production phases in company crafting."
Finally.
The maximum rank for free companies has been increased from 8 to 30.
10 Increases the number of company chest compartments to four.
12 Increases the maximum number of inactive company actions.
15 Increases the number of company chest compartments to five.
18 Increases the maximum number of inactive company actions.
20 Increases the maximum number of inactive company actions.
We are getting inventory space for the Free Company chest. Start farming the seals everyone.
It's nice with the inactive action increase But it seems kind of overkill cause you can store 10 right now. I soon it might go up to what may be 25 maybe 30 I don't know but I think it would have been more beneficial having something else instead of doing the inactive actions as the reward i.e. the rank 20 I think could of been something else.
I think there's a bit of a mix up in the Eden loot exchange lists.
Culinarian can now meld materia
Maybe it is but in this patch we are also being allowed to craft company projects solo now so people can create the Aetherial Wheels more easily now. I have been sitting on those materials for awhile now due to not wanting to get a party together just for those little things. So when I get through them, I will definitely have a stock that I can store and not have them sit in my inventory with this cap increase.
There is zero chance they do this for the exact reason you've stated. Considering Yoshida even made a point to set some time aside because there will be more cut scenes. This would only encourage raiders to skip every single one of them. And as someone who enjoys both the story and raiding, I would quite pissed off.
I really hope the fc ranks and rewards are not final ... like what were they thinking.
You know what fcs need? More storage fir actions.
This cuts down a once per 5 day trip to once all 2 weeks its blowing my mind and it has 3 levels! In best case i only need to buy em once a month could you imagine the gainz our fc has if 1 person saves 5 min a week? Broken
Fc shop? No
3rd active action? No
Lv 3 purchaseable ? No
Lv 4 craftable ? No
Fc events ? No
New item purchaseable ? No
New icons ? No
More furnishing slots ? No
Better chocobo training ? No
Fc specific glam gear ? No
Your chest is bigger!!!!!!!!!1111!!!111@!!!1
Give us unlocks ... 10mil for a 3rd active action slot? Fc credits are good for nothing but fuel.
So far all we get is 2 chests which is nice but ... that just cant be all ... we sit on nearly 50mil credits and theres nothing we can do.
Heres hope ... since the patch only lists 8 to 20 that 20 to 30 has something legit. Else this will be the biggest middlefinger we could get as an fc.
DISSAPOINTED
But you don't? To unlock Eden Savage, you just need to Eden Normal, which is unlocked by doing the quest "Away with the Faerie", which only needs you do to the quests for the first set of Eden floors.
Only Ruby weapon needs the first quest of the MSQ done, presumably to explain why Gaius is talking to the Alliance.
The final quest for the next leg of Eden's story requires certain 5.2 MSQ progression as indicated by the "???". Usually, for 8-man raids, it is the last quest in the tier that needs to be completed to unlock savage. Keeping that in mind, RicaRuin came to the conclusion that completing the new MSQ would be required to get to Eden's Verse Savage.
Removing Ingenuity is going to kill a lot of crafting macros, considering it was the backbone of many rotations.
My thoughts exactly. Raids are in their own bubble, the only thing you need to do to progress is doing the raid and finishing the end quest of an expansion.
For Alexander you had to complete the Heavensward Quest (3.0 finale) and maybe a sidequest or two, but for the other tiers you just had to have done the previous tier and their quests. Savage could be unlocked the moment you finished the normal tier's quests.
Same for Omega, you had to complete the Stormblood Quest (4.0 finale) and then you could pick up the start of Omega, with the next tier being unlocked after you completed the previous normal tier and Savage, again, after you completed the current normal tier quests.
I think this might even hold true for Bahamut, but I didn't do it when it was current so I can't say for sure.
I really don't see them changing this any time soon. Heck, even the Alliance raids use the same set-up. They're all in their own bubble and just come after another, the only MSQ you have to finish is their relative x.0 MSQ.
"After completing the quest "???," speak to Lewrey in Amh Araeng (X:26.8 Y:16.4) as a level 80 Disciple of War or Magic." Is the requirement for unlocking Savage. The confusion seems to be that the last quest in the Eden's Verse storyline contains the conditions: "Players must first complete the main scenario quest "???" and the Chronicles of a New Era quest "???""
Unlocking Eden's Gate Savage required completing the last available quest in 5.05 "The Next Piece of the Puzzle" so I can see where there's concern that the same ??? quest to unlock Savage this time will be the one with the MSQ requirement.
But since it's all a bunch of ???s, I guess we'll have to wait and see on release or maybe Yoshi will clear up the concern when he reads the patch notes.
expert is now a 1 dungeon "roulette" *sigh*
It is a shame Relic and Ishgard restoration is in future patches. Relic would have given us more stuff to do and sustain some players for Relic (players that rush to complete content)
Glad for all the other stuff though, new ex fight and Beast Tribe.
Never have i loved Fishing but may level it more now and perhaps try that Ocean Fishing
Is savage dropping on the same day or is there a delay?
Even if it was meant to hold more lv 3 ... you produce them slower then you use them.
And when an action is loaded you get a stackable item you can feed to the wheel to turn it into the action.
Theres is 0 benefit.
The only time you stockpile is at the end of an expansion.
We loaded 60 lv 3 for shadowbringers and it cost us 1 inventory slot only ... so even if this gave us 60 inactive slots the only thing gained is 1 inventory slot on 1 person.
And yes theres different ones but all know the only valid lv 3 is battle exp
The devs REALLY need to rethink when they release relics. The game has been dull this patch (it always happens) and if the Relic had been released in X.1 or X.2 it would have given people things to do during the inevitable downtime.
RE: This patch
The Desynth changes are bad. This is a poor change when they've made it easier not 2 patches ago. Certain Desynth breakpoints are absolutely stupid (Looking at you Alchemy and your inability to desynth ANY potion) and the current way helps that.
The Crafting Changes are bad. They keep not wanting people to use macros but I guarantee you within 2 days after the patch a macro will exist. It's inevitable. People find the most efficient way to do things.
The Gil on collectibles? It wasn't used to make money, it was miniscule in the grand scheme of things. It was used to cover the teleportation costs of being a collector.
SE needs to stop completely changing systems one patch and then completely changing them again shortly after. What happened to the steady meticulous developers from the past?
This game is starting to look a lot like World of Warcraft in it's development cycles and that is NOT a good thing. I play FFXIV for stability (one of many reasons), not a roller coaster.
