Oh please, when you have skills like anatman which requires you to know the timing of server ticks spot on to have an optimal monk opener which makes or breaks their DPS hugely is not a gimmick that has "no impact on performance".
Mudras and bunshin are another example and it wasn't fun utilizing them, why do you think Ninjas is getting a massive change in how both skills work? Bunshin worked the same way blood weapon works (which now in 5.1 it's just 5 gcds instead of 10s) and it wasn't fun not being able to fit 5 gcds in it because of ticks and mudra clipping.
The fact is blood weapon is a big issue in how it works, if you don't have 2.38 GCD or lower you will have a hard time fitting 5 GCDs under it, which is important because blood weapom gives you 10 gauge and if your just gonna miss the 5th gcd every time throughout a 10 minute fight you're gonna lose 100 gauge which is a big loss in DPS performance.
Even I who loves DRK and good ping and 2.38 gcd have issues with BW. I have to delay BW a little over half before my GCD refreshes to activate in order to get 5 gcds in and it still feels tight, that isn't fun it sucks especially since DRK can be very double weave heavy. BW just needs to change into like how bunshin is gonna work which is what most other DRK players all really just want.
