dungeon 71 80 do big lure!

I m kinda upset those day, tanking has been over simplified, and dungeon 71 80 are really really easy.

So yes as dps i just ask big lure one or two on each step between boss

cause spamming my aoe like a braindead zombie 150 time on 3 mobs and redo it again on the 3 next mobs, and redo it again on the 3 next mobs befor boss

i dont know for you, but for me that very very boring.

Tank have many way to survive and on level up dungeon mobs arent really hard. So what the point?

I got kicked from a group cause i lured more mobs to make it faster, but tank easily survived, and boss way was open.

So yes when i see a tank taking 3 mobs only , well i just dont want to dps, it is no.

I see no reason to not do big lure, even for new player they got bunch of dungeon until shb to get use to it, so?

i assume to be an asshole on that, that true, sorry to want make the run a little faster and funnier.

TBh i dont even know why i continue to play, maybe to kill time, cause gameplay is kinda same since several years, after all content, as bm spam your aoe, then you solo target on boss, as samurai spam your aoe then your solo skill target on boss, and so on. Nothing seem really change since heavenswaard.

The final MSQ dungeon was a step in the right direction as it has enemies that are meant to be killed before others due to them fixating on the DPS/healers and stacking harmful debuffs, and the bombs in particular will eventually one-shot whoever they're targeting if not killed quickly.

We need more trash like that, IMO.

The tank and healer combined set the pace for the dungeon. Maybe one or the others gear isn't up to snuff for large pulls. As someone who has an 80 Gunbreaker and leveling healers currently to understand them, I know how hard it hits you if gear falls behind even a little as a healer.

You have an 80 Gunbreaker, you should know this. Though will admit you're the squishiest 80 Gunbreaker I've ever seen. Level80 and still using level 70 gear, that would make any healer struggle to keep you up on anything if even possible.

Forgot to add, if DPS is slow too it's a strain on the Healer and Tank as well. So as the person below me said, it's a balance, if there is slacking on either of the three, whole thing is a mess.

Doing a big pull weight fell on all three role
If the tank able to keep CD up to reduce stress on healer
If the healer can keep up the HP drop of tank
If the dps have enough output to melt the pack fast enough

Any one of those fail will not speed up the run but mess it up, and if the healer/dps run ahead to pull more before discussing to the party first, then they deserve the kick

Yeah well sorry, you know when i did healer newbie didnt really asked my mind, and even with crap stuff i was able to hold them so

sorry, but me when i see a pull of 3 mobs with the healer not even dpsing just healing 5% life lose of the tank
that make me sick. that all

You must be playing a different game. It's pretty rare to find a tank they doesn't pull multiple mob sets or a healer that doesn't dps.

even with low gear it is doable, i did it with 390 stuff on dungeon 75 with npc, those mobs doenst hit hard,

and i half afk when i they pull 3 mobs, they wont die, but will take age for them that all
anyway it is just becoming very annoying,

since hw dungeon has not much cool ambiant even if some of shb got some stuff cool, like rapture from bioshock, but i do remember that hw got less mobs and more cooler way than dungeon we got since sb.

who knows maybe it is me who is just bored of all of it.

And I've seen people decked out in decent gear fail at that.
Talk with your party on how to do pulls, then do what's agreed.
It's really not that hard.

well just ask to the 2 group i get in queue this morning, my first run got nice pul run fast and so on, and the two next, they pulled the 3 first mobs each, so i was meh, i dont have really much patient that true, but if we are frank those dungeon are even less harder than some old 50 one or 60 one, so i dont really get why those poorly pull.

Some people play safe, it literally makes no difference in speed most times anyway. Can take less time even if DPS is poorly geared as you are, since not enough damage to AoE that many mobs quickly.

Fair, next.

It's a levelling dungeon and people you know may be new to the experience and not in the best gear as they are levelling. Best to check with healer before starting run if big pulls are ok and use your head - if your HP suffers or you have issues keeping the attention of the mobs then pull less. As others have said it really makes no difference to how long the dungeon takes.

If it frustrates you that much and you state you don't know why you continue to play well you know the simple solution is to take a break and chill.

YOUR job is to kill what i pull.

Its a tank's job to have a clear understanding of how much they can pull and how much strain they can put on the healer. As it is very easy to take a pull that should have been just fine and turn it into a party wipe. Some people are also very nervous in the role and play very safe. So forcing them to have to take care of more can have very bad consequences.

Which is why as DPS you should not pull more. Do your job and DPS down what the tank pulls. If you refuse to DPS because the tank did not pull as much as you want that can be interpreted as trolling and gives your party a justifiable reason to boot you out.

Ok so let me break this down on two points:

On the DPs pulling more mobs: First, you actually gotta talk to your tank about that. Find out if they're up to it because trust me on this, if they say no, they're not gonna go out of their way to pull extra packs off of you when you decide to it. Now if they say yes, actually let them do it. Don't go off and pull a third pack when they already pulled two. Maybe they wanna stop right they are or maybe they're actually on their way to that third pack. Either way, if they're willing and doing it, let them mass pull at their pace.

On the boss pull: It shouldn't be an issue on who pulls if your tank is basically a bullet train. He/She will pick it up with a single move, they're usually right behind anyone that pulled it by like, a second or two. Different story if your tank is the skittish/ "gotta do my breathing techniques before I go at it" type of tank.

theres a lot more to FFxiv than dungeons and I would label FFxiv's dungeons one of the weakest forms of enjoyable content.

my solution in getting over different opinions in dungeons was to stop expecting competency from dungeons. when the content can be cleared by being half AFK, you will always get players that don't agree on how to clear said content.

Majority rules. Your group didn't like you pulling, it's fair they kicked you for doing so without asking. You need to communicate, you can't just decide 3 others are playing it your way.

If slow dungeons bother you, the option of leveling a tank is always there.

It’s actually very common now to see healers that won’t contribute to damage after the ShB changes. Especially with all the hubbub surrounding Yoshida’s “pure healing” terminology and how that was misinterpreted.

I love when the Tank does a big pull, doesn't pop a CD at all and the DPS are single targeting when there's 6+ enemies. /sarcasm

There's been way to many times I've been in that situation as a healer and get very vocal, to put it mildly. I've honestly stop caring if I get kicked for it or not, saves me the headache of dealing with it.
