Will I be able to play StB content during ShB early access?

Hello,

I played FF14 back when Heavensward came out and really enjoyed it. However, I did not keep up with it at the time. Since then, a lot of friends of mine have been jumping back into the game for the launch of Shadowbringers and we are very excited for it.

With that being said, I never officially purchased Stormblood as a separate item. I am obtaining it through the purchase of Shadowbringers. Will I be able to access the Stormblood questline to begin working through that content when the early access period for Shadowbringers begins? Or will I have to wait until the official release of Shadowbringers to start the Stormblood content? I am fine with either option, I just want to officially know so I can set the time aside since it's going to take me a bit to get through everything.

If it is needed, I do have the Steam copy of the game (Sadly! I was young, forgive me!). I have also purchased and confirmed my CD key for Shadowbringers early access through the Mogstation. If any other information is needed, I would be happy to offer.

Sorry, but no.

Early access will only give the ability to access Shadowbringers content. So to that end, you should be able to expect to play around with the dancer and gunbreaker jobs, as well as fantasia into a viera or hrothgar if you so choose, but the access to the other expansions, from what I've read, will not be accessible until the official launch of Shadowbringers on July 2.

You be able to start doing Stormblood content the moment you add your shadowbringer key to your account.

I can confirm that I do NOT have access to the Stormblood main questline even though I have added the Shadowbringers key to my account. I just finished up the last of the Heavensward main quests that were added after I left and was stopped at the first Stormblood quest. I know that going through Stormblood is going to take me a bit to get through before getting into Shadowbringers, and so I wanted to know if I could start those quests during the early access or if I needed to wait until the full release.

Did you acquire SB as a package with ShB? If you are supposed to get SB, then you should have a CD key for it already which (when plugged in) should open up SB content for you right now.

Err anyways, whenever youre given the CD key for SB, thats when you should get access since SB is a current xpac. You shouldnt be gated from it if you got the key for it.

The shadowbringer key itself, not the early access key.

I am getting StB through the purchase of ShB. I did not purchase it separately. It is entirely understandable that I cannot play the StB content now and I don't mind waiting.

Correct! As I mentioned in my above post, I am hoping to get an official date as to when I will have access to StB content with my ShB only key so I can schedule time to play through the content. In other words, I am wanting to get the day or two off of work and want to make sure I'm scheduling the right days! :)

Best way to be sure i guess would be to ask support about it.

The Stormblood expansion only will be available for you on 2 July. The Early Access is a key and the Expansion is another. Only this second key had the Heavensward and Stormblood. And this key only is acepted in Mogstation on release date (2 July).
