Instead of the current 1, 2, and 3 denominations for tomestone rewards, can it be increased to 5, 10, 15 denominations, many thanks. ;)

You aren't supposed to get everything.
At the very least allow us to trade Poetics for the Tomestones as another option, maybe 1000 for each or 500. The amount that players clock up from spamming Alliance Raids (and MSQ) means most of it is going to waste.
Only a waste if you don't spend them. If you plan on doing any anima quests, good time to bank some of the items to hang on to (unidentifiables, the 4 pieces step after, etc), or if last resport, materia or demicrystals.
But I do agree in wishing they paid out more - some of these items are pricey and going to take some rushed effort to get in time.
The topic made no mention of wanting to get everything. You can stop with the quippy non-answers now.Quote:

The extreme increase in number of tomes given that is requested says otherwise. And yes, it is an answer, you aren't supposed to get everything. You are supposed to pick what's most important to you, and it's a reward for doing older content.
Your response however, was off topic and pointless. Not entirely sure what your problem with me is either.
IMO MSQ roulette thingers should give more than 3. They take forever.
Why? This can barely be classified as a grind.
If you want something, work for it a little. Almost everything is handed to players on a silver plate already.
A small amount of grinding won't kill you. This is just filler content until SHB anyway.
It actually doesn't. There is not one word in the OP about wanting more drops simply because "they wanted to buy all the items"Quote:

Try responding to what's being written rather than what you think they're saying. The latter has a tendency of being incorrect.
My problem is that you're trying to write off the OP using a strawman (claiming they said something they never said and speaking out against the made-up statement, rather than what was actually stated). So really, it's no more "off topic" than you were being.Quote:

oh yeah lets get some popcorn...
No one wants to run say, Tam Tara 100 times. And yet a lot of people are, and several people have the earrings already. At this point if they up the drops we're going to have the opposite problem, angry day 1-ers who took time off/had time off to grind some of this out already.
It's supposed to be a bit grindy. It's lasting until the expansion, take your time.
I'm just too busy as of right now to even want to bother. YoshiP himself said no game should become a chore and all I see with this is a chore disguised as an event.
Community: THE GAME IS TOO EASY, IT SHOULD BE HARDER, MINIMUM ILVL REQUIREMENTS, MORE DPS CHECKS!
Also community: Can we pls have more rewards so we need to put in less effort to get things?
While topic made no mention to wanting everything given the point of the topic being about an increase of rewards it is a fair inference to make that the OP would either like an easier time getting the rewards they want, want an easier time to obtain everything, or both. Rarely do people make suggestions without some personal motivation fueling it. Person have a short and sweet answer as to why an increase most likely will not happen.
It's not really work though. It's grinding for the sake of grinding which is meant to keep people busy (aka keep people subbed) until Shadowbringers. They weren't exactly subtle in the design of this event. Imo, the time required doesn't really justify the rewards being given. That's why I'm not actively participating, though I have gotten 4 tomes just by doing my daily roulettes.
I'd like the riding maps to cost 15 tomestones instead of 30, that's all.
I...just said I'm not really doing it.

I'm only doing it to get items I can't get easily or at all (like the Pegasus mount), so although I'd like it to be a bit quicker I don't really mind as much. It's basically the same stuff I've been doing anyway while catching up on leveling some jobs. Just focus on the ones you don't really have access to and worry about getting the rest of them the normal way. I'm sure most players already have a good chunk of that stuff just from playing over the years.
I think it's fair the way it is. You can get all of the rewards (barring the earrings) faster if you earn them normally. If you don't want to put the effort in to do that content, this is an alternative that takes more time but requires less effort. The same kind of concept behind raid gear and tome gear/relics. The price of the earrings is higher than everything else, but you aren't meant to earn them in a day. There is plenty of time to earn them before Shadowbringers.
I had 66 of the token for the pegasus mount, we spent one lockout in the Diadem and i had enough token to buy the mount. That was by far faster then the "Event".
Not sure if it's been said yet or not, but this event is peanuts beside what it's been truly designed for.
For the devs the items are a means to distract and tempt people back into DF to get que times down for the newer players who are now trekking through dungeon content. It's designed this way to keep people going back in, not to quickly hand them what they want. =P
You can do 2 crystal tower raids per day and have 102 moogle tomes in 17 days; which is enough for the earring.
Yoship never said he didn't want the game to feel like a chore, he said he never wanted the game to feel like a job; which is what 99% of mmos feel like as far as progressing your character goes. Chore is a subjective word, JOB however is something else. You can run 2 crystal tower raids in 1 hour.
But it's not engaging anyone. People are 4 man BLUing Tam Tara. That doesn't help anyone.
People aren't doing the MSQ roulettes because they take forever still. The time vs reward isn't worth it.
I still think if they REALLY wanted to help new players, they should have put them on the leveling roulette and mentor roulette as in need bonuses. That would have 100% helped people who really needed it.
Least make it so can get them from undersized party. Since datacenter spilt queue times is outrageous now. It take month just to get one mount from it with them queue times so slow now.
The Moogle Treasure Event is a way of asking us to take care of newbies. In combo with the new player campaign for ShB.
But it takes so much farm that I will prefer the hunt and the daily hunting.
7.5 hours of MSQ or 15 Raids Alliance ARR, for 1 riding map, no thanks.
I already eat enough easy content with new players where it wype while it is now easy mode... Chain wype on the first boss of World of Darkness... LOL
If the reward change to 5/10/15, maybe... I'll find that useful.
