Why do I get a penalty for leaving a duty after someone else already left it? got a stupid group in o9 which tried to kick my friend who was also the only tank doing their job, so i left after he was gone, still got the penalty even tho 2 people had been kicked. Why is this a thing? now I'm on 2 penalties in one day (first one was my fault) but the 2nd one was absolutely someone elses fault. and SE doesnt know the difference.

The party probably filled with in progress people right as you left. Happens sometimes, especially if it is something in a roulette.

If someone filled in just as you left, it will count as a full party. You basically got unlucky.

I'm not 100% sure, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if someone is kicked, it is NOT counted as someone "leaving", therefore you will still get a penalty if you were the first to ditch the group. But as I said, I'm not completely certain on this.

no, if someone is dimissed/kicked from the party anyone else who wishes to leave can do so without penalty.
