How Long Will The Monster Hunter Cross-Over Last?

The event requires I be level 70 and have completed the Stormblood story. I need to know if I can realistically complete the expansion MSQ and reach maximum level in time to do the New King On The Block quest. I really want the siamese cat-like minion!

There are a couple little details that could use some tweaking over time, since it's permanent. I would say as a minimum add the carving sound effect to gathering the reward items after the trial, or better yet add the carving animation as an emote and use it with that interaction.

Cool. Im glad its permanent because the server lag is so fricken bad Im fighting lag and not the Rathalos....

Thank you! I'm sure most of us were expecting this to be permanent, but it is very nice to have it explicitly said that it will be.

It wont end (thats what permanent means), but that doesnt mean that we wont get other crossover events in the future.

Keep an eye on who it's targeting, and watch his animations.

We don't die to our own. Other people screwing them up, on the other hand... Do you know how many times I've survived botched mechanics with single/double digit HP while being surrounded by corpses?

Don't think it last long before they replace it. My guess behemoth hunt will replace it.

I get that you want it to go away, but it's not going to. It's going to be just as permanent as Titan EX.

It ain't going anywhere. The trial will always be available, just like how all other trials have been. Lightning event etc. were all FATE based.

Also the MH collab stuff actually requires a lot of effort to get to (i.e. owning SB, getting to lvl 70, reaching the ilvl requirement etc), so players need the time to get there to enjoy the content to begin with. The normal event stuff (FATEs, mini quests etc) we get is generally available to everyone with the base game (no expacs required) and level needed to do them is never that high either so it's generally easier to have them for a limited time and then repeat again a year later.

It's nice that MH will have a permanent status through the use of trials, it sets it up for a long legacy (whether players like it or not).

First: as quoted by Settiesama we got (several) confirmations that this is a permanent addition to the game. Not going away. Not getting replaced by any thing.

Second: You know we HAVE a "Behemoth hunt", aka FATE in Coerthas, yes...?

Tell your healers to stay behind him as much as possible. 2nd phase all attacks are in front of him. so long as youre somewhat behind him you'll be fine. mistakes will still happen however.... and you just need to accept that. it's a difficult fight, though not an impossible one.

One boss (Rathalos) but there is a normal and an EX version of him.
