Granting Access to ALL Job abilities / spells during Synced Content

Not sure if this would even be possible; but what if:

When synced during a let's say a Sastasha, the very first dungeon, during Duty Finder Roulette, players already at max, had access to all their corresponding abilities / spells at lower potency intervals? Sort of like it syncs our gear down to that level; have all our spells and abilities synced to that level too.

• Would it break the game at all?

It would be so much fun, sort of like a "New Game +" feel to be able to just utilize your entire arsenal of abilities we the players have achieved to get through the course of play.

And also, this could be a motivating factor for newer players, that are synced to that level, to witness how a job evolves beyond that currently synced level.

Just a thought, let me know what you think.

It would certainly reduce my hatred of doing lowbie content as much, but there would definitely be balance issues. Whether those are game-breaking balance issues? Probably no more game-breaking than AI adventurer squadrons.

The MAJOR problem with this is that newbie tanks won't be able to hold aggro against a dragoon that's hitting all four combos and geirskogul'ing the enemy. As low as Stone Vigil can make short work of a DPS that pulls hate, so it's not something you really want.

See, levelling tanks won't have the stats for heavy hits needed to hold the hate, so they desperately rely on the enmity bonus and that people won't be hitting as hard as they could. Give DPS their full toolkits, and not only are you making the experience less pleasant for everyone, but you're teaching the tanks bad habits.

Yep, there's no way tanks would be able to hold hate in lower level content. Its already a challenge to hold everything in low-level dungeons because someone always goes ham on a mob you haven't gotten around to comboing yet.

It'd have new tanks thinking they're not doing their job properly, even if they are. If I was able to Holy spam in those dungeons, I'd be tanking everything within seconds. It already only takes like 2-3 Stone casts to pull off most tanks in the first few dungeons. Everybody having their full AoE kit would be a huge mess.

You're not thinking this through very clearly.

1: Synced Content is synced to the level - that means abilities above said level are not available.
2: If you want all abilities - you run it unsynched.

What you should be asking - is for a Level 70 _________ Content on demand (Synched).
You get all of your abilities and the same dungeon.

Less messy.

In other words - a Level 70 Sastasha.

Yeah that would be fun too; like an Advanced Low Level Roulette.

Other thought I had was to make it like PoTD, where after every boss, or perhaps within the DNG itself, there are chests that slowly unlock abilities/spells etc. for all the jobs playing

But again, thinking it through, the newer players wouldn't know how to use said "new ability" they get lol.

So yeah it would be messy for new tanks, and actually learning and trying to figure out where to put said "new ability/spell" for new players, which in then, turn them away from playing, rather than inspire.

So then why not just do it unsync to begin with -.-; kind of defeats the whole purpose of leveling and unlocking skills to begin with. That or have an unsync roulette option? Maybe a solo roulette? Otherwise that is what party finder are for. Keep in mind that the rewards for daily roulette are mainly used to assist lower level get through content through some type of reward for bothering.

Because there's no xp rewards for unsynced, and the majority of people the levelling roulette will pair you with WANT experience.

This question was answered during one of the live letter.

First it would be a lot of work for the devs. They cant just change a number, there is a lot of testing that goes into that. Also it would add a lot of abilites and ogc that were not taken into consideration when the dungeon was designed. You would really boost that dps by adding dots and aoes, songs, stances, buffs and what not into early dungeons and it would require a whole different redesign that would make dungeons super easy or super hard depending on what skills the players have unlocked.

A full pt of new players would be a huge disadvantage where a full pt of 70s or even a pt with 1 would be way to op.

I don't think balance is such a big issue. It's already broken and there is absolutely no challenge in low level dungeons, nor are abilities actually made to work there. Updates changed potencies, unlock levels or even whole abilities without changing dungeons many times anyway.

And enmity isn't about skills available but about players. I tanked in bad gear against synced DPS, DPSed against undergeared tanks, don't see how having more buttons to press (potencies would scale to have same dps output anyway) would change anything.

Imo that'd actually bring more players to roulettes. Idk about you, but I don't even bother with leveling tank bonus because of how boring it is if I get something below lvl 60.

True; and that was my whole demeaner behind my idea: I rarely ever use the low leveling roulette, even when I was playing with my DRK at 30, bc it was boring and felt like it dragged way too long. And the fact that I didn't have many abilities or weapon skills.

But now, sort of comprehending the fact that "A new player" would be lost after all; unless they had some sort of dummy practice pit where a new player could play a new job at max level and see how they play.

Regardless, the fun factor would be great and would definitely have me playing Low Level Roulette far more often then I do now, which is 0.
