/hotbar action not working as of 4.1

I logged into raid today and my macros that change the location of skills on my hotbar no longer works, It worked yesterday and I have changed nothing. Is anyone else having this issue?

My macro is:

Mine's broken too.

/hotbar remove # #
works

but
/hotbar action SomeRoleAction # #
doesn't work anymore.

Example:

Prior to 4.1, this macro toggled whether my role actions between stun or silence, including placing the appropriate button on my bar.
Now, it swaps the role actions, but does not put the button on my bar.

Oh god they are ninja nerfing protect swap instead of fixing the actual imbalance of the skill... Aaaahhhhhhh

What about faerie skill swap macros? D:

I was going to learn how to macro for that so I can have Selene's cleanse at the helm with big buffs to Summon's MP!

Yeah, since 4.1 I've noticed that my hotbar macros aren't setting role actions properly, and suspect that they require a new 'group' sub-command but I'm not sure what that is (and the help information for the /hotbar and /chotbar commands hasn't been updated).

Example of what isn't working anymore:

/chotbar set "Rampart" 1 5 /chotbar set "Sheltron" 1 6 /chotbar set "Sentinel" 1 7 /chotbar set "Anticipation" 1 8

Sheltron and Sentinel are being set just fine, but Rampart and Anticipation are hitting errors. This error is similar to trying to use 'set' for an action like Fey Illumination instead of 'pet' which is why I assume there's an issue with the sub-command I'm using. Other sub-commands like pet, item, etc work just fine.

Most /hotbar options, including

/hotbar pet AbilityName PetName bar# slot#

still work.

As far as I can see, even
/hotbar action AbilityName bar# slot#
still works, except that it can't be used on role abilities anymore. Class and job abilities are fine.

Wondering if they added a new command option and forgot to document it in /?, I've tested

/hotbar role AbilityName bar# slot#
/hotbar additional AbilityName bar# slot#

however these don't do anything.

Are you referring to healers swapping in Protect on macros to save the assigned role ability? Because mine still works. I used it last night with no problems.

Are you 100% sure that your macro swapped the skill? Because that sounds exactly like the macro that I linked in the OP

No, Protect macros generally never change hotbars because they're just used at the start of an instance to cast Protect without using up one of your Role Action slots.

Example:

Right, so it is the same without using /hotbar action, that would be why it still works but mine doesn't

So if your only issue right now is that its not setting it on your hotbar correctly I guess I can help with that. ASSUMING you swap shirk and reprisals spot on your hotbar or whatever this is the macro you should do.

First put shirk on your hotbar in the correct place. ASSUMING its on hotbar one type:

/hotbar copy PLD 1 GLD 6

then put Reprisal in its correct place.

/hotbar copy PLD 1 GLD 5

Then heres your ghetto "toggle" Macro.

/macrolock
/hotbar copy gld 6 gld 7
/hotbar copy gld 5 gld 6
/hotbar copy gld 7 gld 5
/hotbar copy gld 7 pld 1

What it does is:

GLD 5- starts as Reprisal
GLD 6- Starts as Shirk
GLD 7 has nothing in it.
PLD 1- Starts as Reprisal

us the macro

GLD 7- Becomes Shirk hotbar
GLD 6- Shirk hotbar is replaced with Reprisal hotbar
GLD 5- Reprisal hotbar is replaced with Shirk hotbar from the "Toggled on" hotbar of GLD 7
PLD 1- Shirk replaces Reprisal.

Press again

GLD 7- Becomes Reprisal hotbar
GLD 6- Reprisal hotbar changed to shirk...

ETC : D

I didn't even know you could do that with macros. My solution to this problem isn't as elegant, but it works.

I just made it so I have hotbars 1-3 always showing with the abilities I use, and the cross class skills on hotbar 1. I then recreate hotbar 1 on hotbar 4, replacing the cross class skills to what they should be, then when I make the macro, it switches the role abilities around and shifts the 1st hotbar to show the 4th hotbar instead. I have a second macro that readjusts it back to the first way, and changes the 4th hotbar to the 1st hotbar. It WORKS, it just isn't as nifty as what you used to be able to do, apparently. It could be used in the meantime, if need be, I suppose.

Yeah, it's really handy, a lot of people used to use it to change WARs hotbar when changing between defiance and deliverance in 3.x (replacing steel cyclone with decimate and inner beast with fell cleave)

I didn't see that they fixed the issue in the patch. :[

You may have to manually switch to Shirk or Reprisal with the correct hotbar showing its active, if you did anything out of order.

Is it possible to relocate macros using this command? That'd be pretty helpful, but it doesn't seem like that would work. I've got all my healer abilities turned into macros to be mouse over casts, so being able to swap the locations of macros on the hotbar is pretty relevant. Clearly not useful right now, cause it's broken, but when/if it gets fixed.

The work around I posted works on macros, but the normal command doesnt.
