What changes would you like to see made for your class in PVP?

Koltik made a great post giving feedback on Astrologian and some other posts have been made with regard to healing in the Feast.

What changes would you like to see made for your class?

Mine are:

Red Mage
I've mentioned this before, but if you're going to put us in melee range, at least give us more HP or some more survivability. We're awfully squishy when we get up close and personal with monks, ninjas and dragoons.

I'd like to suggest that the skill which gives the heavy debuff in a cone (flunge? flange?) be replaced with an actual support skill, like a cure or increased MP regen for a time period for healers. Healers right now are out of luck if they don't have a bard or machinist. Let us help too!

Can corps-a-corps please stun the target? Once you're close to them, they take off running and then you're trying to chase someone to finish using up your melee abilities in a short time frame. It feels rather ridiculous to run around like that. And yes, I only go for stragglers but still it's awkward to try and chase someone down.


Paladin
Cover is such an awkward and clumsy skill to use. I'd much rather give my teammates a kind of shield, similar to how Dark Knight has.

There's a really long delay between hitting Hallowed Ground and it actually going off. Or it goes off, the ability is greyed out and the timer is up, but the effect doesn't actually take effect. In general, PVP server tics just aren't that responsive for a real team match.

Warrior and Dark Knight get a gap closer. Can paladin get one too?

Dark Knight
Paladin gets hallowed ground.
Warrior gets holmgang.
Dark knight gets nothing! Where's our living dead? (and can it be similar to one of these two so as to not cause extra stress on the healer?)

When it comes to the feast I can't really say, as I've only played a few matches.

But in frontline, DRK does not need a buff. They do fine without any invincibility. It's probably the most op tank atm despite that.
BRDs and MCHs are also op in frontline.

I'd like to see them buff WAR at least.

Best thing would be if SE deleted PvP 4.x and rolled it back as it was before expansion.

I'd like to see Iaijutsu get buffed in terms of either the cast or the damage. The other melee burst is just generally quicker and better and not affected by playing ring around the tree with someone.

The easiest way to buff sam would be to just give Jinpu/Shifu their buffs and add Hagakure to our actions.

Reduces cast time of iai somewhat, fixes not enough kenki and too many sen problem, makes meikyou more useful, and gives us a slight damage buff, the kit itself is fine (other than iaijutsu) but it takes too much time to actually make use of the kit.

It's usually more cost effective right now to use Enpi to gain Kenki (if no boxes are present) than it is to use meikyou to get sen when you're deciding how to spend your TP. Yeah if you're about to burst and at 100 kenki meikyou really shines, but the time in between multiple iaijutsu is pretty big with how healing is ATM.

Not to mention they could just run around a wall and ignore your Iaijutsu half the time anyway.

I would like for all tank classes to have a bigger influence on the battle.
If you look at the feast leaderboard it's pretty clear which roles that weighs the most heavy.
A good tank might have a 53% win rate while a good healer got 70%.

Maybe lowering the CC resistance time by just a few seconds could make tanks more useful and also allows DPS to capitalize more on oppertunities. Basically would draw down healer win rate a bit and increase the rest.

Though in short, I would nerf Cover's recast time and improve Clemency.

In opposition to this, I genuinely feel a tank can carry a game, and the difference between a bad tank and good tank is NOTICEABLY different. In regards to CC, as a healer I think this is an awful suggestion (personally). DRK's CC is ridiculously stupid for AST/WHM. Stun, into silence, into pull back renders you unable to cast a single spell for an exceedingly long time, unless you waste your benediction. This is, obviously, lesser so of a problem for SCH due to their lustrates. I was going to suggest lesser CC in regards to DRK, whilst adding some to WAR.

I feel like they justified the removal of MCH's "big" oGCDs (Gauss Round, Ricochet) by allowing Quick Reload to increase potency and recacst time, but they effectively turned us into a one trick pony and an absolute slave to the game's very slow GCD. I've watched healers literally time heals between my shots and the target's HP just go back and forth. BTE isn't the unpredictable sting it used to be, but we could really use an effective oGCD again, especially when you look at the fact that BRD still has Empyreal Arrow AND Pitch Perfect.

I also REALLY hope Stun Gun is separated from Gauss Barrel. Nothing is worse than missing a stun because the gauge finally reset.

I would like something to use Repertoires for while Army's Paeon is going. That's all since I know anything I want for MNK will never happen.

They should increase ranged LB damage. It's so weak that it only tickles, and will be even more pointless with new increased HP pools. It stunlocks caster so there's no effective follow-up, and debuffs it applies are easily dealt with. It should be instant like healer/tank LB.
As for melee LB, when you execute it just before you die then target receives no damage but limit break bar is depleted, this needs to be fixed.

That's another thing! Caster LB needs to not show that giant circle beforehand. It's like "hey, get out of the way, meteors are coming!" and does a sneeze worth of damage while the melee LB, unless you see it cast, you can't see coming.

For the love of god do something for AST. I wouldn't even mind a high mp cost skill that has a 50/50 chance to give a regen or a shield. Give us a on cd ewer/spire that we choose which is used but shares the same CD. And make draw only bole, arrow, spear, balance.
Lightspeed is garbage and is only used for mp management. REMOVE DEORBIT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Let us synastry ourselves. Or do something to heal ourselves without screwing the rest of our party. Give bene II at least a small chance to trigger an instant cast. Or something. ANYTHING really.maybe make it so crit bene II shields or regens. I dont know. Give us a bone. SE p l e a s e

I've always thought AST, if they're going to keep the cards gimmick, have PVP-specific cards.

Return stun to spineshatter dive. Demphasize piercing talon, dragoon is not a ranged DPS.

You can nerk Monks burst a bit sure. But give us some sort of purpose.

All i want is for Monk to get a stun. Perhaps even just give us Axe kick back. Hell i'd even be happy with One Ilm Punch if it can strip Blackest Night or Safeguard. Something other than its only use being just for its burst that keeps getting merfed. Otherwise at least let us continue to have a glod burst. What what would be the point otherwise?

SMN:

- Reduce the cost of Bio and Miasma from 1500 to 1250
- Make the ranged limit break less clunky and more engaging by reducing the cast time and increasing the time of the vulnerability debuff it applies to enemies by an extra five seconds.
- Remove the archaic and frustrating chat restriction so people can actually communicate with their team efficiently.

What's the point to make all jobs with the same abilities? They already homogenizsed all jobs because of 'balance' issues so they all play the same with minor gimmicks. I don't want every tank job having stun and gap closer so they all were the same generic 'tank', I want them all to have something unique.

A skill that deletes other peoples' characters, exclusive to myself. For all those "Nice job" spammers and 10 stacks grabbers. :D

But yeah, fixing caster LB would be great for starters.
