Just realized most of the document is not visible, but so far: PLD Holy Spirit will be nerfed, WAR will be buffed, DRK will be buffed through dark arts, WAR beast gauge wont halve when changing stance, "shake it off" will change, all fending accs will have a bit of STR (not as much as slaying)
Cards and aetherflow will be displayed in the party list in 4.1
The answer to the physick question (Q11) is just plain irritating, its just like why even keep this spell on Summoner in the first place, its just useless as it is right now. Remove it and give us back sustain so we can keep the pet alive :c
Will say the issue with RDM being able to have a potent cure, raise, SMN having a raise and not so potent cure and BLM getting nothing, he's missing the point of how useful those tools are to have outside the support role.
A RDM able to cure strong can keep a tank alive in a dire moment, can revive healers that both died, SMN can do the raising part, but BLM gets nothing in that respect. RDM can even have instant access to "Swift casting" any cure or raise. Only adjustments I would suggest in this respect is either remove Cure/Raise from being able to dualcast, increase the mp cost of the cure or lower the potency and maybe have it where SMN/RDM can only raise targets that don't have weakness and when they raise the target has double weakness.
INB4 the text command for Bahamut is something only the SMN can see. (When it's added eventually)
That holy spirit nerf not even a month of it's debut yet! oh well :(
I'm not going to lie, I'm a little bitter that PLD's damage output was abysmal for so long and then when it finally gets a redesign to be the 'king' it immediately gets hit with the nerf bat. Yet WAR was allowed to hit like a truck for a very long time, was reigned in and then is set to be boosted once more. I'll reserve my judgement for how things play out but...I'm wary.
Not really a fan of the idea of Aurum Vale being nerfed either. Not every dungeon needs to be trivial and all it requires is people to pull enemies cautiously and pay attention to the mechanics of each boss to succeed.
A raid roulette is a great addition, though. It's sorely needed.
I am very happy with the implementation of Alliance raid roulette and cross world alliance party's, i'll finally have motivation to go back in those things
With this Paladin nerf and war/drk buff people will not want Paladins again most likely for raids. The only thing people really care about in raids is damage output.
I honestly believe they have no idea of what to do with pet class. I always loved Summoner and pet classes in general, but the way they're handling things makes me not want to use them. /sigh
It's what SE put on us when giving tights dps checks in raid. For a very long time in order to clear early (as in within the first 1-2 weeks) you needed evert bit of dps, including healers and tanks. Even if fights wouldn't be designed like this anymore, it's gonna take a while for that mindset to disappear again.
I just started playing around with Summoner and I really like it, but it definitely needs some love. Sustain needs to come back if we aren't getting a buffed Physick, and please for the love of Lalas everywhere.. please revert the changes to Bane. Its beyond awful now. ><

This is from an Astro main too. Even without voice chat it's not hard syncing your cards with another Astro

Isn't it a bit early to be bemoaning the Paladin changes? Yes, they indicated that Holy Spirit will be getting nerfed as they consider it too strong with its cast time being so short, but they also mentioned that the Oath Gauge would no longer be reduced when switching Oaths.
Without knowing more about the "adjustments" based on the strength of Holy Spirit due to its cast time, sounds like they are aiming more for a reduction of a specific skill while bringing other aspect up, instead of just nerfing Paladin below War/Drk (while buffing those two).
I will still play paladin since i never switch mains. Been playing paladin since ffxi and Ffxiv 1.0. They should buff the other tanks but leave paladin as is.
No plans to nerf Royal Menagerie but they'll be wary of having future main story content be as difficult.
I'm glad that the final boss isn't being nerfed - though I don't want future final bosses to necessarily be 'easier'. It's a final boss for a reason and making them a reasonable challenge serves to do them justice.
But it's not a final boss. We have 2 years before a final anything in the expansion happens. At best RM is a middle story boss. Heck Steps of Faith was exactly right at the end of Final Bossdom. Final Steps of Faith could be Final Boss, but we had the darn wall to lead us to Stormblood. Either way be thankful it's not getting nerfed.
No, it's not. Just this evening I ran into an all STR build warrior who would simply not tank, and was as bullish as ever about warriors superiority. Thanks for one bloody month SE. You crapped on Paladin again.
That's all been said before. But let's nerf the only old dungeon who's difficulty is worth anything instead.
Guys, wait for that patch before screaming out again. From what I read I don't think Pld is gonna get back to HW status. I think it's still gonna be fairly powerful, but also other tank combinations will be possible.
On a side note, my static has always run a Pld and we never regretted it, Pld are great.

Yeah, it's unlikely they're going to release housing the same time as Savage. Especially with all the server issues they're having atm.

Yes. Ninja has the best damage utility, the only aoe with no diminishing returns and pulled numbers rivaling Monk and Red Mage. Basically, the job had absolutely no drawbacks whatsoever.
