Boss Speech in chat log window option

Would it be at all possible to add an chat log option for boss speech bubbles in fights.

there's been a couple of bosses recently where there's apparently a speech bubble that pops up with hints on what to do. but sometimes those speech bubbles are either pretty small when the camera is zoomed out. or obscured by all the various battle effects and flashes going on.

I've looked through the log settings and literally enabled EVERYTHING but those bubbles still don't come up. just be a nice option to have that information pop up in the chat log windows.

I'm not 100% sure, but the only filter that does give you what the npc says is in the announcements tab, it's the NPC dialogue (Annoucements).

That only does certain text though. I had that filter set in a battle log ages ago so I could see prompts but doesn't seem to work for a lot of in battle boss speech

apparantloy one of bosses in temple of the fist talks about buffs to fire ice or thunder he'll mention 2 and you use the other one. but his speech never comes uop in the log. even with every single thing enabled

I have those option enabled but they don't always work. the second boss of castrum abaniat is one example I mentioned earlier. I also think there's a couple in the yojimbo fight. some in omega even the instance thing before you unlock the raids. there's whole conversations going on that aren't logged.

an older example is also the goblin in a10 when he tells people to be close or be far. those things never come up in the chat log even with every option enabled. (I've literally pressed "check all" on every single log settings page.

It does, actually. It seems the more flavour text stays in the chat bubbles and out of the chat box, probably to reduce spam.

it does what? we want everything in the chat box including chat bubble stuff. the entire point of being able to choose is so we can control what's spam in which chat box.

The NPC announcement does work, as, from my understanding, the OP claimed it didn't. I've stated what my thoughts about on the reasoning behind the flavour text not being in the chat box, I didn't agree or disagree with the idea. Most of his flavour text was him grunting or saying how strong we are / if we're ready for the challenge etc. His more "important" text gets put in the box, like every boss. I don't care if they add an option as long as we can filter out all that grunting, though it's probably not as easy as just adding filters (and I doubt they'll waste resources to change previous encounters.) Maybe in future encounters?

It doesn't for lot of the impirtant stuff doesn't was my point thiugh.

I even gave examples of things that don't appear. And I've even tested with every single chat log option enabled.

like the goblin in a10. the speech bubbles that tell players to stand close or get far to avoid the next big hit for example.

or the second boss castrum abania that buffs 2 or the 3 elemeents the chat log doesn't tell you which 2 so if you miss the bubble of speech. you have no way of knowing..

Okay, again, I'm not disagreeing with this being implemented, I was only stating facts (and what I think the reasoning is on why it wasn't in there to begin with.) Though, not arguing with you, but I'm not sure what you mean on the last boss, because IIRC...

In the encounter for the last boss, there is no mechanics other than simply dodging stuff. It's flavour text on what you're dodging, but other than moving out of the AOE marker there is no other mechanic. The only "mechanic" is picking up the chakra (which was said in the chatbox). So I'm unsure of what you mean by there's no way to know unless you see the chatbox. And for A10, there's arrows pointing on where you need to move for his mechanics, it tells you with a bright and colorful marker above his head.

Aside from that, seeing the conversations in the chatbox would be a nice feature despite it not being as simple as you may think it is. I am NOT disagreeing with that.

I am totally on board with this. My first run through of SB's dungeons I missed alot of the hints because I wasnt looking at the boss but rather HP bars or my job bar etc, or the msg was so quick I partially read it but missed the rest.

I can't Like this enough. I hate having to pause mid-fight to read the text bubbles, or miss out on that content forever. Even worse is when I turn my camera angle and see a text bubble right as it's disappearing.
