Shelia's FFXIV Fan Art Thread

I didn't really see one, and I'm a big fan of drawing and seeing other people's stuff... so here we are. lol

This is a thread for anybody who enjoys drawing or viewing art. I'm going to try and make it mostly FFXIV-related.

I'll kick off the thread with some stuff I drew somewhat recently and back in alpha/beta (links) :

Here is a fanart I did during Bêta as my character had red hair but now it's black.
I kinda got lazy when drawing hair and ears but that's what I've done so far. Maybe I should draw those parts again with details. I don't know.

Good to see this thread is finally getting some use. :3

My friend made these of our characters. The first one is her poking me with her ear because I make fun of her bronze chain coif lol, makes it look like she has horns

Heya, nice thread.

My pic is not finished yet... and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to finish it, since my photoshop skills are moderate. No matter what I try, it never does what I want :/

What do you do to measure perspective? I'm really terrible at it and I need practice. =\

the matter in the beginning is to see the volume of what you draw to see the globality of your character. Not drawing a hand and an arms and so on . you have to draw the entire character in the same time. It seems quite a mess when told like that.
If you want to train you really have to draw what you see in real life first.Sorry i can t tell you more to help you :(
Eventhough i m just an average drawer i ll put some drawing with different step in the futur so you could see what i m talking about :)

also, Azureos! those are amazing sketches, very clean lines, and spot on perspectives/proportion. I hope you keep making more in the future

and a quick contribution from me, just finished yesterday. Trying to get more action! into my poses and trying to fit an entire figure on the paper lol so heres a female marauder inspired piece, because I like the small torso, huge arm/legs look

I made a picture of my FFXIV character for my sig 2 days ago, and as you can see from my sig, not much of it made it in unless I were to be obnoxious and make a vertically long sig. Heh. Anyway, here is a resized version of the full picture. At least I can post it somewhere.

Really nice artworks, i myself can't draw for toffee but my daughter did the pic in my sig for me of my character, the artwork isn't finished yet but when its done ill post it up

How old is your daughter? She seems to be fairly skilled. =o
