In the patch notes, under new CON abilities "Cleric Stance" is defined as:
Increases potency of attack spells by 20% and reduces potency of healing spells by 20%. Effect fades upon reuse.
Recast Time: 30sec.
To me, this seems backwards for CON and could very well just be an error. Why would it be called Cleric Stance if you are reducing your healing abilities? Shouldn't this actually read:

Or is this really what is intended?

This ability is meant for when as CNJ you decide to Nuke. We still have a couple Nuking spells and it IS still very plausible for a CNJ to be a DD Mage either while soloing or doing some party/group stuff (taper farming/spirit bond grind parties for example). In this case, it would be 'safe' for a CNJ to switch to a DD role tossing the occasional heal/SS as needed and otherwise casting from their DD spell list (Stone/Aero). It's just for longer/more difficult battles that this would most likely be an unwise ability to use. (Like in Ifrit).

It's because it's the Stance that we (the Clerics) take to defend ourselves. It's the same as shouting I DON'T KNOW YOU THAT'S MY PURSE before kicking our male assailant in the crotch.

I see it as (poorly) defining the stance.
"Cleric stance" is what stance I want to be in when I want to be a better "cleric"
Decreasing healing potency is the opposite of what I want. -

I think it's a typo. While I will agree that it makes sense to give conj a nuking stance, but it makes more sense to give them a healing stance. Nadien, don't even go there. We all know a cleric is an office secretary.

A cleric is a healer. CON opens WHM. The traits are geared toward healing abilities.
What don't you guys get? Why would they call this 'cleric stance' if its doing the opposite of what a cleric does. It's not that hard to understand.
This isn't a debate on whether or not adding 20% to nuking is useful or not. It just seems that with all the mistranslations and errors in the list upon release, its quite possible the description of this ability is reversed....which was my original point. -

Guessing no one here plays D&D. Clerics are battle mages that do have a lot of offensive spells. Fun fact the FF1 White Mage is based on a Cleric, which is why they are proficient with hammers and maces and have better physical stats than Black Mage, based on Sorcerers.

Cleric Stance: When I first read it I pictured my little lala standing up nice and brave solo against some big bad Ogre. So I took the stance part to mean 'not backing down' and in my head when I'm facing the big bad Ogre, I'm casting DD Magic on him, and not curing.
This being said, I can also see how others picture 'Cleric Stance' to mean a Healers Stance. Maybe they could have named it better but I hope my description helps a little.
