Any word on if it will count for both or still just one job?
I'd imagine you have to get two. Classes will be gone, so SMN & SCH will be separated.
Ah, ok. I'm mistaken then. When are they planning to remove them?
They arent. At least not until they can rework the original class/job stories.
On topic:
Also you only get gear for one so even if you have both get the levels you won't have gear for both, so gotta take that into consideration. Not that getting gear is really that hard anyway.
I imagine in theory you'd have to buy 2 to get SMN and SCH leveled, but you could also just buy one then level THM/CNJ to 15 to unlock the job you didn't buy the potion for.
IMO, it seems silly to buy two potions to level SMN and SCH since they're so easy to jump between already.
Also, IIRC isn't there supposed to be a limit to the number of jump potions someone can buy once they launch?
We don't know yet. However, if you bought the smn potion it would be nothing to do the scholar quest lines. Either way it is quick.
It will likely be split into one for summoner and one for scholar.
regardless, it would not be a challenge to go and do the other job's quests.
It doesn't really matter if they come in one potion or two unless you think doing job quests are terrible things to do. You don't actually level SMN or SCH. You level the ACN. A SMN potion would give you an 60 ACN with all the SMN job quests completed. From there, you just have to do the SCH quests to get a level 60 SCH.
@Class removal, It was stated that they intend to remove the classes during the Stormblood content cycle, with their estimate being most likely towards the latter end of it.
Just wanted to know in advance before I added Crysta for it.
My guess is that only 1 job get all jobquests cleared, while the other job still have to do all the lv30-60 jobquests.
You'll probably receive only one crystal job for the job you selected, but ACN will be leveled to 60. So if you want another job ready, all you have to do is do your job quest for the one you didn't pick and get some gear.
That'll surely be the fastest way for someone to have two roles available asap.
This is, without additional citation, largely still speculation on whether it will actually happen. Last I heard was an answer that indicated that if they did it, it wouldn't be until later on - possibly a 5.0 change - but as of now the only confirmed change to classes is the removal of needing to have one at 30 and a second at 15 to unlock a particular job.
at this point i'd pray for a class removal, maybe that way SCH will be fixed. Sorry still in the underwhelmed phase before the release, yay?
