Stop PL Petition .

PLing is just stupidly common. I'm seeing people shout for partys my lvl but as I read they want a level 50 for PL rotation. I currently do not have a level 50 so I'm stuck soloing. The few parties I've found have either ended in people leaving cause there wasn't a PL or turning into a PL party. The current system is broken and prevents new players from getting to a high level without a PL. I do not want to be PL'd and I will not ask for a PL.

If you agree that the PL system should be removed or at least changed then post here. If you would like to debate or add anything then post here. If you would like to be a troll then click the red X in the top right of your screen.

It was already changed to be quite a bit slower. No matter what you do or how you change it, people WILL powerlevel. The only ways one could truly stop it would put obnoxious restrictions on the game and punish everyone else at the same time. No thanks.

If people want to powerlevel, that's their business.

I don't see how the system outright prevents new players from getting to a high level without PL. It sounds more like people are preventing that, not the system. In which case, you'll have to find a group of like-minded individuals to play with.

I haven't seen much of this on Besaid. It's there, but not common. Most parties seem to be actual parties. Not leech rotations.

Too many people are getting PL'd so there are next to no partys below the PL line. That prevents lower levels from leveling up without a PL. Leves are kinda slow to level on due to the hike to the camp not to mention they're limited in supply.

I would hardly say they're limited in supply. I've spent hours straight doing leves and made a very small dent in what I had to begin with. It's better than that 8 every 36 hours we had previously.

Like I said, find a group of like-minded individuals and play with them. Surely there's some group on Rabanastre that doesn't condone powerleveling.

The problem with no one having classes to level would come up eventually anyway though, powerlevel or not. Powerleveling at least helps people with low ranks catch up if there's no means of actually leveling together.

I have no opinion towards PLing. If you do it, you do it. The choice is yours. I'm stuck soloing, oh well.

I agree it's a big deal but I would rather find a group of people who know how to party and party hard ;D

It's better than someone anti-social who'd rather pay some lv.50er (someone they don't even know) and ruin the game for everyone. (Well I guess there it is! My opinion on PLing) =P

Like i said 50 times should be added 5-6years when the game no longer getting new players not now when people are joining there no point to reach max level in a new game. A game that 5+year old where there lot's of max level players i understand the need for such a system to help new players get 5+year worth of stuff to do. In ffxiv right now there not even 1year worth of stuff to do so what the point.

But it wasn't added intentionally. It was added because they had to do something about the obnoxiously stupid claiming system we had before (which people could still PL under). It was an unintended side-effect of an actual fix that we needed.

Regular grind parties are much more common on Lindblum, that's for sure. I barely ever see a PL shout. With the level of xp gain we get with chains and - at higher levels - strongholds, there's no reason to not do xp parties.

PL is not a an issue and is working as intended. To each his own.

Another thing I noticed is most of the people complaining on these forums about PL are low in level. Before jumping on the PL rage bandwagon, did you ever consider the lack of regular parties to be due to there not being many people leveling classes that low anymore?

I can get a party without that much problem but its always a PL party. I'm trying to say almost all lower level partys are PL partys and its dumb. Too many people are leveling lower level classes with PL. If you already have everything at 50 this might not bug you but its going to keep people away from the game.

Must primarily be people who already have at least one 50 who don't care to take their time with other classes. It's not like PL is that much more potent in xp gain than xp parties either - just people being lazy or uninterested. There are ways to fix this. Petitioning to have PL removed is not the way.

Get past the lower levels and you'll find there should be plenty more xp parties at higher levels. Not even that far, after 30 - 35~ xp parties are much more popular.

30-35~ partys are more common cause its hard for a PL to live the mass of mobs that they gather.

If its not that much better of exp then people won't mind if its removed or changed.

It's desirable for the lower ranks.

Besides, since it's not that much better xp then people won't mind that it stays. Changes are to be expected of course, however.

The reason people do PL parties is so they can be away and still get exp. If we're going to allow for such a thing to be in the game then lets go a step further and allow bots. You might think their completely different things but their not. Bots allow for people to play a game while away and be rewarded for it. The current PL system allows for players to be away and get rewarded for it. Only difference is one requires two people to be active while the other does not.

Like I said, changes are to be expected. Even Yoshi said that he is not against PLing so long as the players aren't all afk while the PL does all the work. I agree with that basically.

There are some fixes that can be made and some balancing, but overall complete removal of PL is something I don't agree is necessary.

I think we can agree the PL system as it stands needs to be changed at the very least. I would like to see PL more focused on healing the party rather then killing for the party. I know that I might not get that wish but if they were to make it so people outside the party that has claim can't get hate then it would make it less effective. Something like that would pretty much kill the mass PL links but not get rid of PL.

Are you sure your on Lindblum? I've been seeing a hell of a lot more PL party shouts than party shouts. I rarely see low level party shouts.

Only time no PL parties are being shouted for, they are out at camps stealing mobs from regular parties. I've had to defend/take over a camp from power levels. Luckily, we overpowered them and was able to take more mobs.

It just gets annoying that PL is what a lot of people doing now. I have a friend who got PL to 45, and she has completely no idea how to heal properly, what cause more hate, etc. It just gets old fast and it definately effects everyone else.

It can do with some changes, yes. I wouldn't say it's a pressing matter in the current circumstances the game finds itself in.

I actually did one of these for a little bit the other day, and I agree it needs to be fixed, very boring I much prefer a good xp party. The problem is this will be done alot if the option is there i feel.

Funny you should say that. I've been level CNJ, THM and ARC in legitimate parties. I've even run into the issue where other legitimate parties are at our camp.

Are you sure you're not just on a low population server?

That said, the "drop from party and kill" thing needs to be fixed. But the general concept is fine.

Sometimes I wonder, with so many of you complaining that it hinders your ability to find an exp party -
why don't you all just get together and make one?

With the number of people I see complaining about PL parties in this forum, and how they prefer xp parties, there should be a dozen xp parties going on at any given moment in any given server.

Too bad I've seen maybe 2 other people from Lindblum complain about it. The rest are out getting PL because 50% of the time I get in an actual party, a camp is taken by PLers.

can we just stop threads about PL/NOT PL/BAD PL/EVIL PL?

The main reason why ppl dont get parties is, like said, a system that isnt flexible, no lvl sync, and by far not enough ppl to play with usually. Until that isnt changed and taken care of (as well as other means to lvl/xp) there is no point in removing it.

So far SE is removing something every patch without a proper replacement. They should just shut down the servers til 2.0 if they go on like that....

At least don't complain about Lindblum. I understand servers can vary when it comes to trends and player views to a certain extent - but I'm on Lindblum. I've had more difficulty finding a PL party since 1.19a than an xp party. I see xp party shouts for levels from as low as 20 to as high as 45+ each and every day.

Let's also not forget a lot of the difficulty in getting parties overall stems from the lack of a proper PC search feature - something 1.20 is set to fix as a primary objective.

Don't complain about my own server? But how often are they being shouted for, ESPECIALLY at lower levels? Not a lot. Not often at all. I play a lot, and the most I've seen was 45+ parties because it's more viable than PL at that level... which you usually end up getting a 50 in party to take hate.

PL is stupid in my opinion, and shouldn't exist to begin with. I almost want that stupid fatigue system back because people are abusing this PL so much.

LOL... I can't believe there is yet another fail attempt by people who Q.Q no matter what SE does. There is already like a 150 page thread discussing this madness. Every hot topic is someone complaining... I mean honestly, I feel like as a community we are a spoiled bunch. We hated stamina so they took it out, we hated dropping leves so they took it out, we hated repairs so they dumbed it down. Ok so from what I can see this is a problem on all servers just some people don't notice it as much as others. The PL cut off line is about 30-35 and its around that line where exp parties become more common. I've seen parties for lower levels but they're rare. From my own experience the party start point should be around level 10. While some will chose to solo or leve to 20. No matter how you look at it the parties for level 20-30 are much less common then they should be. The only thing I can think of that can cause this is people using the PL system to get to 30-35. No search function and no level sync hinder parties yes but if they had sync people would sync to a low level and PL all the way to 50. If they added level sync as thing stand now there would be no legit parties left on any server. Until they change the PL system it won't matter what they do parties will be hard to find.

The problem isn't that players have the choice of taking a shortcut to higher levels. The problem is that the majority wants this so much more than taking their time because all the fun stuff is at 50.

I can guarantee if content was more spaced out, less people would care for PL parties as they would be enjoying the game at every level.

Once PC search hits, parties will be easier to find. In the future should there be more low-mid level content, that'll help a lot too.

Yes, people want cap. People want cap more when a vast majority of the content is at 50 and there's a severe lack of anything fun until cap.

If the road to cap isn't fun, people will be much more inclined to take a shortcut. If the road to cap is filled with fun content, more people won't mind taking their time.

Sure, lack of content at earlier levels isn't the only motivation for people to rush to cap. Sure does help though.

I thought that not too long ago everyone was complaining that there was no end game content? The only end game content I can think of would be ifrit fight and darkhold. There is of course toto-rak for lower levels as well as a lot of missions to burn through. In all honesty I don't see how all the content is at level 50 when there is content for the lower levels.
