Personal Opinion:

I just hope SE won't do the Amazon (NA) and Magazine purchase (EU) again. I think it with be better if we can just purchase it in mogstation so that it is accessible for everyone.

Yeah, if there's no other way besides payingreal money then just put it on the MogStation so I can buy without relying on redirection services because US Amazon won't ship here.

Yeah, I had a lot of friends with an EU account and they were not able to buy these items because of the magazine requirements. :(

When you said cloud mount I thought you meant cloud's bike. Can you imagine the rage?

I really hope they execute this event properly when it hits EU and NA. With the ordeal that every Eu players went through I do hope they are well prepared this time around.

I wish they extended these things to other Asia/Oce countries, I don't understand why this is not a thing in Taiwan, we're right there and Seven - Eleven is our secret overlord and ruler.

I liked being able to get a bonus while purchasing something I wanted from Amazon. It would have been nice if they had been able to hit up the other Amazon sites though since NA isn't just the US and I know a lot of Canadians had issues.

There might be a publishing issue. Similarly to the incident with Nier automata. To SE the asia market is really small compared to EU,NA & JP.

Could just keep it a 711 campaign/promo, I got one right across the street from where I work and one right down the street from where I live. I constantly buy tons of items there especially at night or in the early morning hrs. I wouldn't have to go out of my way if I wanted to participate, compared to ordering from amazon or some other weird method.

Well it's great that you have one so close, but my nearest 7/11 is an 8 hour drive away >.>

So it definitely doesn't work for everyone because I'm not going on a 16 hour overnight trip just to get FFXIV stuff from a 7/11 lol

I don't think keeping it a 7/11 promo is a good idea because Amazon reaches more people in NA I think.

Is that a thing somehwere in Europe? I hadn't heard of that store before the first campain.

7/11s are a gas/convenience store. They have them around in the US. Just not in my area.

I've gotten the impression that they're a more west coast thing. At least, I hadn't really ever seen them until I moved cross country. But they're all over the place here.

Have they even announced that these are coming to NA/EU? The site linked is fully in Japanese, there isn't even a hint of English or any message to us telling us we will be getting them. Last time, with the maid/butler outfit, we were told it would eventually come to us at the initial announcement, just not given any details to go on. This isn't giving us that.

They need to announce the other regional offer details early this time and also fairly. No staggered release when we're all playing on the same servers with people who can get the items right away - it's dumb. Imagine if the China/Korea servers weren't separate and we had to see those players enjoying their unique cash shop items months before we get a (really terrible) chance to buy them ourselves?

7-Eleven is irrelevant in most countries so I understand why they have to run different offers, but things like the Gamesmaster campaign were run so poorly that letting us pay Japanese people to buy soda for us now would almost be kinder if the codes weren't region locked. The magazine campaign was announced so late that people outside the UK could not actually participate in the mail order option for the items, yet because they were baited into believing local offers would be coming they didn't rush to beg UK locals to buy them copies either, and missed out.

I hope it's not going to be a 7-11, I live in the Dead Zone. I'd have to drive eight hours just to get it.

It's hard to get excited about these events when the items from the previous one (maid and butler outfits, masks) are STILL cluttering my inventory. Now they want me to add a pole to the mess? Please, SE, make these storable in the armoire!

At least the mount doesn't take up space...

Oh my god, I can't imagine how much people will sell the codes on Ebay and Redit when SE will, again, screw the campaign xD

That being said though, don't you feel it's a bit unfair to the Japanese that would need to buy a bunch of conbini to get this stuff and we can just drop money into the mogstation?

Ooooooh. I really hope they do go with Amazon for NA again, and do it before June, because I haven't gotten around to preordering Stormblood yet, so this would be perfect timing for me.

I'd say it would be unfair to charge us directly for the items when the Japanese players get them for free with stuff they might have been buying anyway.

I hope for Amazon again. Persona 5 and Zodiac Age are right around the corner.

I am aware that this was based on pure selfishness lol and I would agree with you, if you could chose the items you like to purchase from any category. Having it limited to their gaming section for example, is nothing I look forward too. I don't want to purchase some $20/25 game I never gonna play just because I wanted some add on items for ffxiv. And yes I am aware that you could just purchase it, cancel it, redeem the code etc. But I wasn't going or willing to go through all that hassle. I also didn't think about that some states might not have 7-11's everywhere and I would like to apologize for that, for me personally all that came to my mind was, oh yea 7-11 promo we got that all over the place, it's easy for people to get their stuff that way.

It's funny because before I was aware of the restrictions I was super excited to get the items with the ant bait I so badly needed! Upon seeing the restrictions I went with FF Explorers which turned out to be less than fun on a normal 3ds. There was much more selection to choose from after that first day when I jumped on the promo. It would be nice if you could just enter a promo code on Amazon and meet the target purchase total instead.

I thought they had to buy drinks? If Square really wanted to do a good promo they could make a toy drive for children's hospitals or something. Make $20-ish versions of the moogle/carbuncle plushes available, but you're purchasing them to get sent out to children's hospitals. In return for your donation you get a code pack. :)

Like Miste, the closest 7/11 to me is in another Province entirely. I don't there are more than a handful in Canada period come to think of it. So if they insist on these silly "go buy something" promotions, then make it Amazon and please include Amazon.ca this time. And the EU equivalent. They got screwed last time.

If they go with Amazon again, they might make it a monthly game loot for having Twitch Prime. Twitch Prime is something new that they started since the last FFXIV Amazon promo and they will probably like to promote it.

I wouldn't mind Amazon again, it worked great for me last time, I got myself Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon!...

For those that don't have access to such service other options could be used as well, meaning I'd rather buy something from Amazon again rather than buying something on the Mog Station!... :p

That big green US isn't quite the full story... There isn't a seven eleven within 250 miles of where I live in Tennessee - their store locator puts it at over 270 miles - so the big green area covering the US, is plain wrong.

Basically 7/11 isn't ubiquitous enough for this kind of offer.

Why people worry about old Amazon collaboration? You can buy FFXIV game time card and no waste anything.

Just buy a time card you guys. You're paying for FFXIV anyway!

They could surely but it would be useless for me since I ditched PlayStation after the Final Fantasy XIII saga came to an end and decided not to play in consoles anymore, PC is vastly superior!... :cool:

I think they just need to ban pre-orders from counting. I was surprised that they allowed that considering there's no real obligation to keep a pre-order.

I honestly hope they don't. We have multiple people in the household that play and one prime account. We've no use for multiple Prime memberships.
