Tombstone cap to 900 hotfix again?

Hi all,

If it is anything like 2 years ago before heavensward release, they increased the tombstone cap from 450-900 for those who want to catch up before expansion.

They applied this hot fix on 15/05/2015 (just after the patch 2.57) and heavensward released on 24/06/2015.

I wonder if this is going to happens again. I have couple of other class still stuck at 200 gear :D

We don't use gravestones for currency. =P

It would be nice if the lifted the cap on the tomestones, so I can gear up my last 2 chars.

I think the Producer mentioned they'd do the same again, I hope they uncap them in the second part of patch 3.5 in March because I have to gear up most of the jobs!... :confused:

5 tomestones of Law

Scripture will be raised to 900 per week in a future patch. I don't believe it was mentioned in the 3.55 live letter so most likely 3.56 AKA end of March.

Recycled from 2.x nothing new here. it happened before hw, it happen before SB if not right now, then in a couple weeks. yes itll happen. nothing to see here

They have said there will be a few minor, & possibly not so minor, patches after the last 'official' major 3.x patch in March. It'll appear then, along with the other things they might surprise us with.

There's no point in gearing up your jobs. You'll be able to get level 61+ "junk" and dungeon equipment nearly as good or the same as tome gear once the expansion hits.

Only real thing worth "preparing" would be getting all the jobs you want to 60 if you haven't already and any gear you want for glamouring.

Augmented Ironworks gear is good until 56 or so. If the augmented Shire gear plays the same way, it will be good to still gear them.

I was about to say this aswell. The "endgame" gear from 2.x worked far into 3.0 before you had to start replacing them.
I made alot of gil selling the gear I got from the quests because people bought them for lots of money before they got their own gear for free.

Yes, but it would take a disproportionate amount of time to gear up multiple jobs with full Augmented gear. It will be much easier to obtain 61+ gear, and it will be nearly the same, the same, or better than Augmented Shire.

And yes, Augmented Iron works COULD be used until ~56, but the junk gear and dungeon gear while leveling from 50-60 was just as effective.

Not really. I already have a few jobs with great gear. I want to spend scripture on something, so it doesn't go to waste. I'm already doing certain instances with FC members to help them gear up. I might as well gear up another job, since I'm already there.

I think Yoshida will disable any cap because form proto ultima will you have 270 ilvl accessories. Form new Diadem all gear 270, form unlocked Alexander all gear 270, so keep limits on Tomes are just stupid.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't do it if you are capping out your Scripture every week. Might as well spend them on something if they're just sitting there collecting dust.

But it's not worth spending extra effort on to "prepare" for the expansion, since gear just as good if not better than Shire and Augmented Shire will be incredibly easy to get. Especially augmented, since you can only augment one piece of Shire gear a week.

You can get more than 1 piece a week. You can also upgrade items from doing hunts, but I see your point as well.
