I don't think they will ever ban chat in PvE..it's just not a good idea. Don't get me wrong I completely understand you, there are some super toxic players out there and the game would be better without them. There are some workarounds to this though, you can always turn off your chat and not see it at all. Or, and I recommend this one, is report the ones that kicked you..it's against ToS to wrongfully boot someone for no real reason (Afk, Harrassing, Online are what is OK). I'm sure a GM will respond and look into it for you, I did the same thing and got a reply within the hour.
Hope you have better luck next time!
Nice names you posted, reported.
Oops.
I support this motion. Remove the free chat feature entirely from the game and only allow pre-set texts so all the immature kids don't get their safe spaces violated by the slightest sneeze.
Well I think the rest of the party were in the right. No one had protect they stopped, oh how I wish more stopped sometimes :P Also I only see you being toxic in that screenshot.
Stopping because I didn't cast Protect is only slowing the dungeon down, if someone died and I didn't cast protect, that would've been my fault. It's like it's a crime to not cast protect in low skill content. What if someone is new to Feast? Goes both ways.
It doesn't - I forgot to cast Protect and I wasn't looking at chat with the tank spamming protect until he stopped at which I knew a kick was coming since he mentioned me pulling because I accidentally pulled trash before he stopped.
But it's hardly a reason for anyone to stop running the dungeon, it doesn't effect any person in the slightest. If I was doing an Ex Primal or Savage content, it would've been acceptable but Protect isn't going to be a question of life or death in roulette.
That's super low quality bait, dude. Even without a screenshot refuting your side of events.
You can all jump on that small chat log I posted on the Discord, I really don't mind. You can all hate on me, I thrive off it. Seeing someone who hasn't even posted in forums before coming to make a post just for this thread, what a treat.
The bigger issue was about Feast Chat but I guess people care for BUFF PLZ in their casual content.
This thread is amusing, are people really saying that casting Protect is more important than healer DPSing in a dungeon, even when people aren't dying?
Even more so if it's a low-level dungeon, isn't healer DPS more important to speed up the dungeon since monsters do so little damage that Protect isn't needed in the first place and healers can DPS full time without casting a single heal?
TBH they should just remove all player interaction from the game. Obviously since we all can't get along like the utopia this game was supposed to be, we are sub humans and should be isolated as to not spread our malevolent hatred to others.
Casting Protect ONCE will lower total DPS output and slow down the dungeon run by how much? Answer: Very, very little.
How many extra heals will be needed due to lack of Protect? Unknown, but even a single one will reduce the healers DPS output as much as casting Protect did.
So no, maximizing healer DPS is not that important.
This entire thread displeases Carvaka.
Could the joke not be posted in the other threads about the PVP chat change? A much bigger thread gets more attention than a swarm if smaller ones..especially if it devolves into stuff like this, I would think.
this thread needs some more of this https://68.media.tumblr.com/ec305d1f...k172o1_500.gif
It pains me that it seems like people are missing the obvious satire here.
However he makes a point we've also brought up earlier: players being nasty toward each other happens outside of PvP content as well. Trials, dungeons, even guildhests; players have a history of being quite inflexible and quick to anger when things deviate from the norm. I ask then, why has disabling chat never been a tabled solution for this?
It's a double standard. Can't be angry or voice it in PvP (and to be fair, we're all adults. If you're THAT angry, take a moment and a deep breath, then think carefully about what you want to say), but it's fair game to mouth off to someone in PvE content. Ask yourselves how this is fair and really think about it for a moment.
I understand you'r frustration. but i do believe this is totally not way to be doing it. i mean you, yourself said to flood the forums with threads asking to undo the current chat restrictions. i imagined something way better then this. slightly disappointed. but then again why was i expecting anything else. to much faith Olly to much.
But, regen on the tank is more than enough with or without protect, any damage the party may take an aoe heal/regen covers it. You also don't have to refresh regen constantly, especially in dungeon level difficulty.
Thread needs to be moved into Dungeons - there, everyone can discuss the best way to tackle Satasha whilst having the highest efficiency with minimal DPS loss.
Because issues don't happen even remotely as often?
I mean, you can still talk freely in Frontline as well - that's PvP too, isn't it? Ask yourself, why hasn't it been disabled there? Maybe possibly because issues don't arise as often there either? And truly, we've gone several years without a chat restriction - most likely because the issue hasn't been so bad that drastic measures would have to be considered all that time either.
Once you acknowledge the fact that Feast has a disproportional amount of negative behavior, the supposed double standard simply becomes a matter of scale. And I'm still pretty sure it's only Ranked Solo Queue that's an issue and all the other modes - 8vs8, Light Party and Fold - are collateral damage due to "limitations".
So yes, the point has already been raised - it's also already been countered.
Yes... and it wasn't me who said that you should. The person I originally quoted was the one who thought regen was an acceptable replacement for casting a single spell. I've been talking about how crazy it is to constantly cast regen on all players just to maintain a similar effect to casting protect once. Yes most players shouldn't be getting hit and yes you shouldn't need to be constantly recasting regen even if they were, but the point I've been trying to make (and failing epicly?) is that if you're not going to cast protect for whatever reason it will likely then require casting more healing spells in the process to make up for that.
Oh sorry he was trying to prove a point by creating a fake argument and calling someone a s**thead.
All this shows is SE made the right decision due to silly children like this guy. If I wanted to prove how chat was necessary in PvP then I would of took a screenshot of me helping someone learn strategies in PvE and said wish I could do the same in PvP.
why are people talking about low-level content? the title clearly says he's in ex roulette.
