Does anything happen if we report this? I was in a farm party yesterday for thordan ex. The pf leader got their bird and instantly disbanded.. leaving everyone frustrated. It was possibly the most undignified thing I have ever seen happen with the community is this game. I've been subbed for over 450 days and never seen that happen until last night. I'm surprised SE makes this so exploitable, tbh. It shouldn't be that way.

Bad behavior yes, exploit no, you all rolled on it and he won. This is the risk of running PF farm groups, you either need to expect something like this can happen or make a group with friends/fc.

I'm not sure how it is considered "exploitable" and I don't know what you mean by "it shouldn't be that way". How else should the loot system be that would completely remove the possibility of someone just being a complete jerk.
It was definitely a pretty crappy way for someone to behave, but there isn't much that can be done about it. Blacklist and move on. If the farm party was good, then reform it with the same members and grab a replacement for the other guy. -

What I mean is SE should have rules for PF like mentor chat where it warns you "undignified and bad behaviour is a punishable act" Not really an exploit... more like the person exploited us and told us it was a farm party but in reality it was just for that person. It is just rude and totally uncalled for. Blacklist and move on is what I have done but the behaviour was still shocking.Quote:

It depends on the wording of the PF post. If it said it was a farming party until everyone got a drop then it is definitely something the GMs would deal with. Normally it's best to discuss what happens with the loot either before joining or in the Party chat, whichever. If something is agreed, for example that the leader won't drop if they roll successfully first time, then it becomes binding. Always get it in writing, like the lawyers say. =P

I do not think the devs care one iota about people "choosing" to leave a group. It is the person's game and choice. If they start dictating if a person stays in group to assist others, they will have a mass exodus or no one will do it at all and pugs will cease to exist.
The FCs on my server are not known for helping their people if they already have the item so you will have to suck up the bad behavior dealing with a pug and either look for another game (I am), or do something else. It is unfortunate. -

That being said, in no world is this punishable (other then socially of course). It's within his every right to leave a party after he completes his objective. No where in the rules does it say he has to wait until everyone else gets loot. That is just silly. Although selfish, why should he wait around for you? And even IF they enforced it, which would be down right silly...I guarantee you you'll never find another pug group again in party finder, especially for older content. No one would force themselves into that. Only people who do that are in statics :P
In short, you cant enforce social norms or socially acceptable behavior to a degree. Yes everyone should say please and thank you, but you cant punish someone for not doing so obviously aside from socially outcasting them.

Unfortunately that happens a lot. I was in a Levi pony party before. I got pony first and leader next. Party disbanded because he has to go to a doctor. 5 mins later, he has PF for Titan pony. So yes it happens a lot for my tastes.

it will never happen, that a "farm group" stays until they got 8 mounts. Give it 1 hour or 2-3 mounts and people usually get bored and leave anyway
you shouldnt have any expectations when you join such groups and be happy if you are on of the 2-3 persons, who got lucky -

Nobody signs a binding contract when they join farm parties, unfortunately.
If they dip out immediately or (more slyly, yet just as tasteless, "I'm tired, one more for me" etc.) a run or 2 after winning the loot, then remember this individual, let your friends/FC/linkshells know to keep an eye out for said player for such behavior if it pleases you, and avoid this person like the plague... Or deliciously call them out on it should they ever pop up in another farm party with you.
Me, I have quite the handful of names from my server written down in a notebook (blacklist is for RMT, mostly) detailing if they loot and leave in farm parties, whether it be Alexander or mount farms. Naming and shaming isn't allowed on these forums, but you can bet I'll do it in party-chat if I end up in a farm party with them again.

Well you get used to it if you farm more. You don't want to know how often we had that before 3.0 during pony farms.
