Job Actions and Traits Speculation thread

Hello fellow Healers! Ever just sit there and ponder what potential our Jobs may have in the coming expansion? Then come and express them here! It's going to be a long while before any new changes come rolling out and with the healing meta firmly locked in now with the release of 3.4 I thought it might be fun to imagine what Actions and Traits could come to further define the three Jobs from one another.

With that all said and done here are a few thoughts I've had.

White Mage: As things stand right now they are the weakest of the three healers in terms of raid utility. Granted that it is not a bad thing as they do still boast the the highest overall healing output and burst healing. Rather then seeing them gain more utility in mitigation or increasing overall raid damage I would like to see White Mage gain more flexible healing options and reduce the MP load of their spells.

By this I would like to see a ability that places a permanent buff on a target party member. this buff would increase the healing done to the target and they would gain a small amount of HP for any healing spells the White Mage casts. There would be a reasonably long cooldown or perhaps you wouldn't be able to recast it once a battle starts. This would help define the Job in its high healing while reducing the amount of total healing they would have cast to keep the target, which in most cases would be a tank, near topped off.

That alone would be more than enough for me and would differentiate White Mage from the other jobs, Keeping it in line with its high healing potency while keeping it a simple healer.

Astrologian: With its current buffs to their supportive and healing kit, Astrologian has found a fantastic spot currently in the raid scene. Their healing kit heavily borrows from the other two healers depending on which sect you are in but make up for their "average" healing output with huge buffs from their card draws. With this in mind the things I would like to see is more improvements to their current actions.

To start I would like to see Collective Unconscious to reduce how much the regen heals, or remove it altogether, and reduce the damage reduction in favor of being able to cast while inside it. I would love to see this become a pseudo Astrologian "Ley Lines", where while you are inside the bubble and everyone else that is in it will receive a increased healing done to them. The only draw back would be that the Astrologian would have to stay inside the bubble for it to remain out or until it wears off. with its current range it would be difficult to use but if it could increase the range that would be wonderful.

The other change I would like to see is perhaps a trait to Celestial Opposition. This might be a bit strong and hard to use but I would love to see if the damage the party has taken be regen over the next fifteen seconds. It would be a massive heal for high raid damage but it with its long cooldown it would be a decision between helping the party with extending their buffs or saving it for a massive heal. I always thought that it would be very cool if this ability also turned back time on the parties wounds.

Astrologian has always been A strange healer that never could decide on what kind of healer it wants to be. I would really like to see the card system expanded as well but then it runs the risk of being overly complicated and distracting. There is a ton of different changes I could think of but those two I think would help their role out without making the cards more complex.

Scholar: With having a free healing pet, loads of mitigation, and being able to deal respectable damage, what more could you ask for from a damage reducing healer? With perhaps a decent AoE they would be set but honestly I could go on about how SCH and SMN should be split from the same base class but that is a different topic.

What do you guys think, anything you'd like to see?

Cure IV? Seems fairly obvious, but all the same. As far as what utility it could bring to the kit, I seem to recall someone suggesting it having an auto-regen application, which would save on casting times at the very least.

Going off of Kuribou some more, maybe a skill similar to Reverse? Turning what are normally healing spells into powerful attacks? Though given we've already got Cleric Stance for general offensive options, perhaps make it something more like an OGCD Ability, keeping potency affected by Mind rather than Intelligence, enabling some timely DPS on the fly without having to switch to Cleric?

All I've got off the top of my head.

I'm not crazy about your AST suggestions, but I thought the WHM one was kind of cool. With CU I like the way it works but I'd like to see just a tiny bit of flexibility in it. Specifically I'd want to be able to activate it during the last second my of movement without it breaking because my right foot twitched as I came to a halt, just to make it a tad easier to time the skill. A1S for example, I found trying to time it between jumps was fairly useless—if only I were able to activate it a second sooner. Additionally I feel like instant casts should work with CU. This would have it working nicely with the AST tool kit. Also, I think AST should be focusing more on speed/time management than on potency, with WHM being the opposite. Specifically with Diurnal, as Nocturnal really demands that potency to be useful in its role.

SCH is still a totally unique healer excelling in the same way it always has with the fairy/DPS combo. I think they should continue to focus on those aspects. Something like, if the SCH lands a Critical Broil then the fairy procs it's own instant Succor-type spell, etc, anything to increase the amount of time you can potentially be DPSing, hopefully relative to SCHs long time love affair with Crit.

WHM: I feel that WHM has a ton of dps potential that it can't utilize because of it's jarring MP issues and the nature of it's job.

Maybe they should develop more skills like Assize, but don't make it effected by Cleric Stance.

Or make it so that when under shroud of saints, divine Seal or presence of mind, you get a stack, let's just call it Priest Stance, that lowers the mp cost of all DPS spells and allows you to dps outside of Cleric Stance without penalty.

Let's say this Priest Stance stack increased by 10 seconds with each of these abilities you use. You can effectively stack up to 30 seconds of being able to fully dps, outside of Cleric Stance and at a lower MP cost.

I just really don't want them to slap utility and shields on them just because the others have it.
WHM deserves it's own identity just like the other two have.

Give celestial opposition the opportunity to improve a shield you've put on your party. Since you can improve the regen duration. This skill ain't as effective as it should be in Noc Stance ^^

Im not for a huge change on Collective Inconscious since the spell is the fine the way it is actually and fits perfectly well with the strange mix SE wanted to give to the AST beetwen shield and HoT !

I disagree heavily. If healer DPS is nerfed sch will quickly find itself ousted. And square already put a target on our heads for 4.0...

They did say in one interview though that they will try to buff others rather than nerf us and WARs. So best case scenario we may just be very same-ish. Plus if they add another healer, that could balance out our 'off-healer' role as it is.

I'd be interested to hear more about the OP's opinion on removing SCH from their base class. What would you expect we do if we lost our entire DPSing toolkit? :'D

Note: I'm just throwing ideas at the wall. The specific implementations probably suck, but I really like the ideas behind them.

White Mage : Big Heals, Big Deeps. The White Mage's solution to any problem is more potency.
Keeping White Mage straightforward when it comes to healing is best - the only shield they need is Stoneskin. I think they should be better when it comes to DPS; probably something like a trait for MP-cost reduction while in cleric stance would work. If they want to change up how WHM DPS is done, perhaps they can add some sort of stack mechanic that increases damage done; it'd go up when casting damaging spells, and go down when casting healing spells. Don't make it too easy for WHM's to do damage, and don't bring them up to DPS levels, but make it so that they are clearly the best for personal healer DPS - let the other jobs focus on letting the party deal more damage.

Scholar : The right skill for the job. If only they could hold more Aetherflow stacks.
Keeping the raw utility of Scholar might be fine, if they also weren't the first choice for DPS-ing due to fairy heals. Assuming that WHM's DPS sustainability is increased, I'd think giving them an Aetherflow skill that allows them to burst well would work - perhaps relegating Energy drain as an MP-restoring tool first and foremost. I'd say to add even more, but perhaps they should just slightly buff the Aetherflow skills they already have. Decoupling SMN and SCH from ACN a bit so that the two jobs can have more varied skillsets that don't affect the other would be nice as well.

Astrologian Plays with cards. Rigs the game.
Card balancing is the big one, but Balance will probably still be top; everyone like more DPS. Give AST a spell on the GCD that allows them to see and manipulate the next card drawn - kind of like shuffle. If they want to manipulate their next draw further, they'd need to cast more - though make it cycle through cards after the first cast. With how mobile AST tends to be, Collective Unconscious requiring them to stop moving is lame; they should be allowed to move, even if they still cannot cast any new spells. Most of their DPS potential should be from buffing the party, unlike WHM and more than the SCH. As such, they provide shields or regens, depending on what's needed, and focuses their downtime putting up dots and looking through their deck.

Since in the quest-line you remove corruption by "balancing the elements" with pretty much stoning and aeoring the elements I would then make it so damage spells remove corruption stacks and build up Purity stacks.

We could also have each tick of Aero removing 1 corruption stack, each cast of Stone removing 3 corruption stacks, and perhaps Water removing 5. Holy could reduce Purity by 5 when casted, working as a heal to build up Corruption, so people don't abuse the thing, because the first cast in 10 Purity stacks will be free, later on 10 Corruption stacks Holy would cause double damage, but would cost 50% more, for example.

So you would juggle between damage and healing like this. How about that? Now you got your identity.

About Stoneskin, it could perhaps stop being a one time barrier, but something that stores overheals. The barrier would always renovate if you overheal the target, up to a certain ammount.

As a scholar, i'd really like an instant cast skill that use a aetherflow stack to make mitigation.
Cause, yeah, the heals we were given in 3.0 was great (especially to AoE burst heal), but, well, we're here to put shields and make to mitigation so... give us things like that (for example, deploiement tactic is something only scholar has and it can be really powerful if the adlo is a crit !)

Although the particular iteration of purity vs. corruption stacks doesn't quite click for me, I would indeed like to see a bit more done with the WHM elements, so long as it keeps its up-front and at-the-ready style of being the healer powerhouse.

I similarly tossed these ideas out before, but these were some ideas I had for trying to improve on WHM traits.

• Whispers of Wind - Your wind spells now grant a mote of air, reducing the casts time of your following non-wind spells by 40%. Up to 3 motes of air can be present at a time, each non-wind cast consuming one, and individually fading after 20 seconds.

  Admittedly, this is not one of the more useful Traits, but it does allow for cast cycles by which a WHM can more easily stutter-step for increased uptime during mechanics, a part in which it can be slightly lacking when Regen is of no use.
  
  By default, this stacking system is not shown on the buff bars, relying instead of a subtle visual presence, but can be configured to do so via the context menu given from selecting the Trait itself within the Actions & Trait menu.

• Rumbles of Earth - Your earth spells now in equal parts reduce the mana cost and increase the maximum %HP shielded by your Stoneskin by 20% of their damage dealt within the last 20 seconds.

  Rumbles of Earth can stack up to an amount able to apply two free Stoneskins to the party member with the highest HP. By default, progress is shown via Stoneskin itself, the mana cost of which can appear to fall into the negative, up to its normal cost. It does not actually grant MP from use, but uses the negative amount to show how much mana cost reduction will remain after the first Stoneskin cast. Alternatively, it be shown via a differently colored section of your mana bar, a second MP counter, and/or a buff displaying the total bonus HP and reduced MP of your next Stoneskin, measured in the hundreds.
  
  This allows WHMs a means to build up shielding, at no additional mana cost, through their offense, improving the attractiveness of their DPS.

• Fluid Aura has been overhauled. Fluid Aura - projects your aura outward through a watery form, damaging and/or knocking back enemies and intercept effects incoming from the direction of the charge. On critical strike, the Fluid Aura will additionally draw one debuff from you and attempt (at critical strike chance) to transfer it to the enemy. Transferable debuffs are limited. It now has a mana cost.

  Yes, this may look a bit like a WHM's personal Living Liquid's Human form and associated charge. Except, it's more versatile.

• Water's Wake - All water spells now additionally have a chance on critical strike to trigger Water's Wake, temporarily turning Esuna into an ability with the same mana cost but additionally capable of transferring a debuff to your Fluid Aura. This debuff will cause no further negative effects, but can transfer the debuff to an enemy. Esuna both as a spell and ability are capable of critically striking, negating their mana cost in addition to triggering Water's Wake. (Asylum critical strikes have a one-in-eight chance to trigger Water's Wake, essentially a normal chance per affected ally over its full duration.)
  All water spells additionally empower your Fluid Aura, increasing its size during its charge, the number of targets damageable and the total damage that can be split among them, and decreasing its remaining cooldown.

  These effects occur in split proportion; if Fluid Aura is already off cooldown, its size and damage increases faster, rather than spending any of the resource on cooling it faster.

• Healer's Flow (replaces Freecure) - Your Cure casts and initial single-target healing critical strikes now grant Healer's Flow, reducing the mana cost of your next Cure II by 20% per stack, up to 100%. Stacks fade individually over 20 seconds.

  For clarity: single-target healing critical strikes also include those done by Tetragrammaton and even Esuna, but not by Regen, as it is purely a periodic heal.

• Healer's Will (replaces Overcure) - Your Cure II casts and, stacking, your Cure II, Medica, and Medica II initial critical strikes now grant Healer's Will, reducing the mana cost of your next Cure III by 10% per stack, up to 100%. Stacks fade individually over 20 seconds.

  Although there is potentially more ramp-up for Healer's Flow and Healer's Will than Freecure and Overcure, the RNG component still remains to a degree, but the surrounding mechanics give more synergy and reliability while keeping WHM the brawnier powerhouse of the three healers.

SCH [borderline broken] wishlist:

62- Emergency Tactics - The next Galvanize will be converted into raw healing. The next DoT cast will have its damage done up front, on top of placing it's debuff. (Thundercloud proc) If cast before Bane, Bane will gain a base potency of 100 and can miss. (Bane is an ability, so it will not trigger the thundercloud like proc. I really wanna make this skill flexible. Scholars are all about CDs and their interaction.)

64-Ruin- The MP cost of ruin has been increased (equal to Blizzard II.) The radius of ruin has been increased from 0 to 8. [Ruin has become an AOE]

66- Deployment Tactics- When used, the duration of your Eye for an Eye, Virus, and Galvanize is reset. Eye for an Eye and Galvanize spread to surrounding party members. Virus is spread to surrounding enemies.

68- Dissipation - Critical Rate is increased by 20% on top of current effect. Recast time is reduced to 120 seconds.

70- Aetherial Shift- Can only be used under the effect of Dissipation or when a Fairy is summoned. Current fairy is sent away and the opposite is resummoned. If under the effect of Dissipation, the fairy that was not consumed is summoned. Upon execution the effect of Dissipation ends. Cool down of 240 seconds.

Odds and Ends-
Selenes Silent Dusk no longer applies Silence, instead it places an 8 second magic vulnerability down on a single target and is called Fey Charm. Cool down of 90 seconds.

If pets receive 60 Skills

Selene would keep her silence and instead gains Fey Charm at 60.

Eos would receive Fey Memento. A buff is placed on a target party member. The next spell based heal received will form a barrier on the target for the amount healed. Does not work with the additional healing of Emergency Tactics, but may be procced by other party members. Cool down of 90 seconds.

[This is just a "wishlist." Ast and Whm would have to get an equally as sexy tool kit.]

I love your selene's idea so much !
I ton was thinking about a skill that we could use under Dissipation but i was more thinking about a "hit to shield" stuff.
Anyway, i hope your ideas will be heard !

On topic this time:

I honestly scarcely care about new abilities for each job, and would rather just see revisions for earlier levels, making the overall identity, gameflow, playstyle, and individual abilities of each job more interesting. I'd also like to see significant changes to cross-class abilities, classes themselves made more situationally viable, and numerous undermechanics added to make even simple skills have more varied and intricate, yet wholly intuitive, effects.

If I had to guess though, I'd imagine that SE will do a relatively shit job of pruning, costing skill-cap per class but satisfying some of the more prominent outcries (No more WM! No more Cleric Stance!) without giving much of anything to replace whatever people liked about the removed abilities, leaving us with condensed arsenals that feel more hallowed out than steamlined, and ignoring all options of simply better managing how our abilities are accessed or allowing players that layer of customization as to have more control with fewer keys needed. But, I'm not exactly an optomist.

To be honest I would actually like to see SCH keep their connection to ARC. Lore-wise it makes sense for them to use diseases as their means of attack and their play style of using strategies such as mitigation and the likes line up very well. I would how ever like to see SMN completely cut off from ARC as it makes no sense compared to SCH. through the FF series Summons we're always these big beasts that you call for to aid you in attacking or providing buffs. I would love to go on and on about how they could change SMN but that is another topic for another board. The only thing I can really think of with base class changes is to change Shadow Flare or remove it from the ARC base all together.

We can't have stun because of whm identity. Maybe a random debuff between Paralyze, 20% Slow, 20% Heavy. 100% Chance to get a debuff paralyze would just be the jackpot. For the mp cost, i think no effect is fair.

What I'd like to see is not these changes. Good god, it's ONLY taken 4 huge patches to get AST to be accepted by the community. No gurl no.

A trait I'd concerns stoneskin or stoneskin 2.

I'd love for sk 2 to be used even in battle. It already has a longish cast time and mp cost to not prevent people from spamming it.

Or make sk1 either reduced mp cost to encourage whm to use it more often or make the cat time significantly reduced. Right now the trait we have for it is that it reduces the cast time to 2.5s, is 1.5s unreasonable?

A cast time of 0 wouldn't make it much more viable to use. 884 MP to use something that buffers about 1/3rd of the health that you can get from a Cure...

WHM [borderline broken] wishlist:

62- Tetragrammaton- Splash heals for 300 potency around the target cure with 700 potency with a Radius of 8 yalms.

64- Cleric Stance- Upon entering Cleric Stance, "Miraculous Cure" is gained for 20 seconds. The next cure will have no casting time and will cause the "Free Cure" trait to become 100%. Ends upon execution of cure or when the buff times out. (Cure II will cost no mana after casting an instant cast cure upon entering Cleric Stance.)

66- Asylum- Damage taken while within Asylum will be reduced by 5%, the effects of Weakness are nullified within Asylum. Current effect remains.

68- Benediction- HP, MP, and TP are restored to Maximum.

70- Omen of Ole- Absolute waters wash away all sin, dealing 250 potency AOE damage and cleansing all debuffs on surrounding party members. 15 yalms. 90 seconds.

Odds and Ends-
Quicker Stoneskin trait changed to "One with Earth" - Casting Stone, Stone II, Stone III or Stoneskin has a 15% chance to reduce the cast time to instant and the MP cost to 0 for the next Stoneskin cast. Duration: 20 Seconds.


[Just a fun little exercise. Doing SCH was allot of fun. I wanted to focus on getting WHM back into its MP management roots by allowing CS and DPSing with Stone to proc free healing. Asylum, Benediction and Omen of Ole Reflect the raw power WHM has to overcome and compensate death and overwhelming mechanics.]

AST [borderline broken] wishlist:

62- Time Dilation- Damage over time effects and Disable are increased by 15 seconds if used on a enemy.

64- Combust II- Each critical tick from Combust II has a 50% chance to spread to surrounding enemies for the remaining duration.

66- Synastry- Beneficial effects cast by you are shared between you and the Target. Luminiferous Aether will restore MP to targets even under the effect of Darkside. Lightspeed will not reduce the magical damage of the affected party member. Regens are shared for thier Duration. Current effect as well. [Placing an Ewer on your target, will also place an Ewer on yourself. The door works both ways.]

68- Celestial Opposition - The cool downs of Draw, Spread, Royal Road, and Redraw are reset. If a Card is being held in Draw or with Spread, they will not reset and instead retain the card. Surrounding parties have their health restored by 20%.

70- Grand Fortune - The last Card used is Redrawn. If the card was used with a Royal Road, you will gain its buff. This is not a Spread. It will replace your current Draw if used while a card is active. If no Royal Road was used on the last card, you will not gain a Royal Road buff. (This would be especially strong for openers. You could immediately have a Balance sitting in your spread with Expanded Royal Road immediately after the pull, ready to buff the party for 30 more seconds.]

Odds and Ends-
The Spear will reduce the remaining duration of abilities already on cool down.

[Tried to Focus on Giving AST more AOE DPS, while also giving them more tools to manipulate Cards and an AOE heal that can be used even under Cleric Stance. Here are my ideas White Mage Traits -

62 - Flood - Fluid Aura transforms into Flood, a 300 potency water-aspected attack with a 25y range. This attack is oGCD and has the same recast.

64 - Enhanced Riposte - Riposte now additionally lowers the target's evasion by 20% for 30s (this applies even if the Sleep effect fails).

66 - Earth Embrace - Casting Stone, Stone II, or Stone III now has a 20% chance to allow Stoneskin II to be cast in combat with a 50% boost in shield value. The caster has 30 seconds to use this proc.

68 - Whisperwind - Casting Aero, Aero II, or Aero III applies of buff of Whisperwind to the caster for 12 seconds (This buff stacks with a cap of 3, and the duration resets with every cast of Aeros I, II, and III). The caster is refunded 5% of the MP cost of spells per stack of Whisperwind.

70 - Fluid Image - Casting Flood creates a replica of the caster near the target of Flood that lasts 10 seconds or until the WHM casts their next spell. When the WHM casts their next spell, the replica will also cast that same spell on the same target. Stackable buffs (such as Regen on allies or Virus on enemies) will stack if cast by the replica.

I hardly think a Stun on a 70 damage potency AoE is going to threaten Whm when they are swinging a 200 potency one lol.

The reason I mentioned it was because in XIII and XIII-2 when a Ruinga went off...lighter things were knocked into the air a bit and staggered, and it definitely created a sense of oomph to the ability. I suppose adding a knockback would also add that effect, but it would be nice to get an AoE that's actually usable in a dungeon lol.

In theory other statuses could work. Slow would probably be a bad pick since shadowflare already slows, and miasma already heavies meaning those 2 are essentially worthless. Paralyze would be pretty sweet though.

Could also do something a bit different like a short soft stun that's broken when attacked, but the next attack made on the creature receives a damage buff.

I'm mostly just thinking of how to make a FFXIV Ruinga have the same impact as the FFXIII and FFXIII-2 one.

Actually ruin would be a 80 potency aoe.

That is probably not gonna happen with ruin. Remember that SMNs are actually stuck with using ruin still. And not just once every fullmoon, SMNs are still spamming Ruin.

SMN have MP problems if they only use Ruin II. The damage from book smacking is hardly good enough to justify ruin II spam and running out of MP. Not to mention it can miss.
Mobility isn't needed when movement isn't required.

There are still some healing aspect that are unexplored, for example, WHM that relies heavily on regen, could change the incoming damage with a spell to make it inflicts damage over time:

Anesthetic water (water spell,instant, duration 15s, recast 60s, would be the equivalent of virus of sch or disable of ast): The target is immune to damage from any source other than anesthetic suffering. The damage prevented is added to the anesthetic suffering.

Anesthetic suffering: inflicts 1000 damage every second until the amount of anesthetic suffering is empty.

This means no damage reduction, but a possibility for WHM to deal with very high damage mechanic with his own healing ability.

Another part that could be counted as an utility spell that boost raid damage could be:

Spiked salve (stone spell,cast 2.5s, either no CD and affect only the next attack, or 10s duration and 60s cooldown): The target reflects 10% of the damage suffered. (the damage suffered isnt reduced by 10%).

For the wind aspect:

Wind conversion (cast : 3s or instant with 30s cooldown): The target gain 15% movement speed for 10s. Any Regeneration skill on it is canceled. The target is healed for 300 potency for each skill canceled this way.

(just to add this here, i'm not thinking about OPness of skill or whatsoever, these are just random values, the important stuff is the effect idea)

AST
Collective Unconscius: (Skill reworked)
- You block all the damage for the duration of the skill/leaving the bubble, then all the damage is applied as a DoT for 12 seconds.
- CD 90s->150s

Synastry:
- CD 90 -> 50
- Healing potency increase removed.

Luminiferous Aether:
- Refresh potency of 30, from 60(80, with trait).
- CD 120s -> 0s
- Uses the currently card to grant you the buff.

Break: (New skill)
- Uses the currently card to grant you a new buff.
- Reduce GC by 50% for 8 seconds
- 60 sec CD

AST needs new uses for the cards so you can play more with them.


WM
Cure IV: (New skill)
- Can store 3 charges.
- Heal potency of 750.
- Same mana cost as Cure II.
- You gain a charge everytime you use a Cure II with Cure I proc.

Presence of Mind: REMOVED

Benediction: CD 300s -> 150s

Asylum: Potency 100 -> 175

Medica II: Regen potency 50 -> 75

New way to attack: Stone II empowers Stone III cast, like Cure I and Cure III, or something that give a rotation that saves MP.

Silent Dawn (Selene): Changed to a heal with 900 potency and 20 seconds of CD.
Fey Caress (Selene): Now can clean Weakness. CD 60->90

Fey Covenant (Eos): Now increase defense and magic defense by 100% for 15s or reduce the damage of the next big that deals more than 20% of your health by 50%, same duration but expires once it triggers.

Emergency Tactics: Critical succor get the double effect like adloquim, still change it to a heal.

Enhanced Pet Actions: (Arcanist trait changed for scholar)
- 20% chance when the fairy deals a critical Embrace, that next Succor or Adloquium is critical

Dissipation:
- Adloquium and Succor are always critical.
- Heal potency increase removed.
- CD 180 -> 120

Sacred Soil: Proc change -> 50% chance that next Indomitability will cost no Aetherflow for 15s.

New pet things + Aetherflow things, thats all he needs.

It would be like mixing AST's target based Gravity and WHMs Stun from holy, but lowering its potency. The reason I suggested Slow, Heavy, and Paralyze is because Slow and Heavy are redundant, making Paralyze the better part of the skill, creating a sort of jackpot on top of the AOE damage. The skill is called Ruin, who knows how deep the ruin could go. xD Knockback would be soooo troll. Vulnerability up, makes sense, but I feel thats just too much to offer compared to other healers.

xD!! I had honestly completely forgotten about Celestial Opposition adding a stun! AST needs something to give it some AOE healing outside of the GCD I feel. I also thought it would make a great interaction with cards, as if you're going against the flow of time, rewriting it even (thus heal and another chance at a card.)

I'm not very happy with my AST suggestions. I'm not nearly as engaged with it, as I am with WHM and SCH.

WHM I feel is all about BURST. BURST HEALS. BURST DPS. BURST AOE. BURST ACTIONS. Presence of Mind. Benediction. Stone III. Cure III.

I tried to emphasize WHMs ability to keep a party going even after "mistakes" are made, More choices for AOE healing, a slight buff to mitigation, and a better system for MP conservation while choosing to DPS.

I feel lowering evasion would not be worth it because ACC can do the same thing. I would also like to avoid giving WHM stacks to monitor. The Stoneskin II procc would be cool, but at the expense of Massive MP?

WHM [borderline broken] wishlist:

62- Tetragrammaton- Splash heals for 300 potency around the target cure with 700 potency with a Radius of 8 yalms.

64- Cleric Stance- Upon entering Cleric Stance, "Miraculous Cure" is gained for 20 seconds. The next cure will have no casting time and will cause the "Free Cure" trait to become 100%. Ends upon execution of cure or when the buff times out. (Cure II will cost no mana after casting an instant cast cure upon entering Cleric Stance.)

66- Asylum- Damage taken while within Asylum will be reduced by 5%, the effects of Weakness are nullified within Asylum. Current effect remains.

68- Benediction- HP, MP, and TP are restored to Maximum.

70- Omen of Ole- Absolute waters wash away all sin, dealing 250 potency AOE damage and cleansing all debuffs on surrounding party members. 15 yalms. 90 seconds.

Odds and Ends-
Quicker Stoneskin trait changed to "One with Earth" - Casting Stone, Stone II, Stone III or Stoneskin has a 15% chance to reduce the cast time to instant and the MP cost to 0 for the next Stoneskin cast. Duration: 20 Seconds.

AST's Identity is harder. Its about promoting the party through cards, but also has high potential for single target DPS. It lacks the OGCD power of the other healers, but has access to instant heals on the GCD. I feel AST should be able to give themselves more chances at cards and to help curb their lack of OGCD heals. An AOE DPS increase would also be fair I feel (but then again a balance on a DPS that can AOE is your AOE DPS increase.)

SCH should focus on their DPS utility, Strengthen their Mitigation, emphasize critical rate and increase interaction with both of their fairies.

SCH [borderline broken] wishlist:

62- Emergency Tactics - The next Galvanize will be converted into raw healing. The next DoT cast will have its damage done up front, on top of placing it's debuff. (Thundercloud proc) If cast before Bane, Bane will gain a base potency of 100 and can miss. (Bane is an ability, so it will not trigger the thundercloud like proc. I really wanna make this skill flexible. Scholars are all about CDs and their interaction.)

64-Ruin- The MP cost of ruin has been increased (equal to Blizzard II.) The radius of ruin has been increased from 0 to 8. [Ruin has become an AOE]

66- Deployment Tactics- When used, the duration of your Eye for an Eye, Virus, and Galvanize is reset. Eye for an Eye and Galvanize spread to surrounding party members. Virus is spread to surrounding enemies.

68- Dissipation - Critical Rate is increased by 20% on top of current effect. Recast time is reduced to 120 seconds.

70- Aetherial Shift- Can only be used under the effect of Dissipation or when a Fairy is summoned. Current fairy is sent away and the opposite is resummoned. If under the effect of Dissipation, the fairy that was not consumed is summoned. Upon execution the effect of Dissipation ends. Cool down of 240 seconds.

Odds and Ends-
Selenes Silent Dusk no longer applies Silence, instead it places an 8 second magic vulnerability down on a single target and is called Fey Charm. Cool down of 90 seconds.

If pets receive 60 Skills

Selene would keep her silence and instead gains Fey Charm at 60.

Eos would receive Fey Memento. A buff is placed on a target party member. The next spell based heal received will form a barrier on the target for the amount healed. Does not work with the additional healing of Emergency Tactics, but may be procced by other party members. Cool down of 90 seconds.

You go from small, almost insignificant changes of potency to stuff that feels too much (I'm one to talk right?.) Reflect spells, like the one you're suggesting with collective, don't work. They always end up too broken. Removing POM would really hurt WHMs burst Identity. Its the only healer that has a REAL DPS cool down! (I don't consider Dissipation to be that great of a CD as it stands, because you literally have to sacrifice your active healing to use it.) I would also like to avoid any sort of stack management. Procs are great, but we have enough classes that have stacks. Leave WHM to its simplicity. Selene doesn't need anymore healing prowess, she just needs utility. Fey Caress was a great way to synergize that, but being the only healer that can completely remove weakness is just too mandatory. If I wanted more healing I would use Eos as well so an increase to single target healing would go against her choices of utility, in my eyes. Maybe you see Selene as single target and Eos as AOE, but that's how I feel about them. :O.
