Extremely Disruptive Cool Down Error Persists Post Patch 3.35

My first post was not addressed and has been moved to the resolved thread when it has not been resolved.

I decided to be patient and wait for this error to be fixed in the next patch.

Please see this video showing that the error continues to persist in patch 3.35.

In brief summary, at the end of every Global Cool Down there is a brief reset to the GCD - a roll back essentially - that disrupts all combos and is especially disruptive in challenging content.


DEVS please address this issue. I am running the game on PC and have had none of these issues up to patch 3.2. This all began on patch 3.3 and persists into 3.35.

Please help.

This issue really needs to be addressed!

That's stressful. Please fix this for players suffering from the same issue.

That's weird & is almost as if there's a sync issue between the client & the server that's not normally experienced (in other words, it's not lag). That could be game breaking.

I saw someone complaining in a linkshell tonight about their Ninjutsu having problems & it may have been the same think. I don't Ninja so I can't relate to it but hope it gets sorted.

It's not just for ninja. It's affecting all my combat classes. I hope it gets sorted too. I really don't know where or how this error came about. But thank you for agreeing that it's not lag.

It's not lag. My ping is very low. There's no issue with any other aspect of the game lagging. I'm also hardwired in on FiOS with 100mb down and up.
There's no reason that immediately after Patch 3.3 launched I've had this issue when I've been playing the game for years without hiccup.

Apologies, I didn't mean to make it sound like it was a ninja only thing. It's just that I had noticed a complaint about Ninjutsu being problematic, which may have been from a player who only plays ninja. From what I recall when ninja was first introduced a lot of people discovered that they had lag issues that didn't exist for any of their other jobs because ninja is so tightly tuned.

As you say, it's affecting all your jobs which suggests it's more than lag (you've checked that). I had a problem between 3.25 & 3.35 which introduced a bizarre issue that seemed to only affect me. When I logged on for the first time in a day I would get a 90k disconnect after playing for 5-10 minutes. When trying to log back in it would tell me my character was still in the world. After I waited 5 minutes & got back in I wouldn't experience the 90k again, even if logged in for 12hrs+. Next day the same scenario of 90k, log in then stable.

Why I mention this is because there's definitely potential for inter/intra server discord that we have no control over. I believe that you're experiencing this. I hope a hotfix or server maintenance will sort you out.

Nothing to apologize for! I knew you understood my point. I'm sorry if my message seemed curt.

I'll create another video that demonstrates the same issue with other jobs. I think that may help other reader, and the devs, sway away from saying its lag ir just a ninja thing.

I decided to try Weepng last night on my nin because of this thread. My mudras felt completely off. It was almost like I had to double tap each of the for it to register. It's probably been a month since I've played nin, but they used to feel more fluid than they are.

It was almost as if they were on a gcd without the animation. I'm on xfinity 150 at 11pm. Very little traffic and no lag.

Is the issue happening when you use controller like Sterne or are you playing keyboard/mouse? Could help narrow down the issue.

I'm on PC with ps4 controller connected via bluetooth.
