Please can we get Luminous Fibers added to airship ventures.
P.s. Also please add T5 crafting materia to Moogle Beastman Tribe rank 7/8 daily repeatable quests or add T5 crafting materia to airship ventures too. Replace the branch type loot from airship ventures with something that's more worthwhile, things like birch and dark chestnut branches are a complete and utter waste of time from airships since they only cost like 10-15 gil on MB in the first place or take like 1 minute to farm more using a BTN than get from a 20-120 hour airship venture.

Neither of those two are actually scarce to get, so there's no need to add them to airship ventures or the moogle beast tribe quests.
Spiritbonding the i170 DoH is already a good enough source of grade V crafting materia, since there's a roughtly 20-30% chance for an i170 piece to convert into one.
Desynthing i180 blue scrips gear is an easy way of getting plenty of glass fibers, along with them dropping in the Aquapolis, as well as the ones bought with kupo nuts. (7 kupo nuts per fiber, 9 kupo nuts per day, at rank 7) -

To craft the full left side sets (DoH and DoL) it requires 72 glass fibers, to additionally craft the right side 30 more and then for the tools themselves needs another 189. In total to craft all the tools (primary and secondary) and right/left side pieces (DoL/DoH) it comes to a total of 291 glass fibers to make enough luminous fibers (97 luminous fibers required in total).
Alternatively each luminous fiber on MB costs 200k+ and to buy enough would cost around 20million gil on my server for that single ingredient alone. As for the T5 crafting materia, we can farm up to T4 crafting materia via airships and we can farm DoW/DoM T5 materia but we cannot farm crafting T5's...I think that should be changed so can also farm some T5 crafting ones from airships. Even if do not gain many per trip, some would be better than none. Now if your someone who does not make use of either the fibers or materia in crafting/gearing and only wished to sell them then I can understand why you would fear more ways being added as the price would drop but not everyone wants to farm them only to sell. -

T5 crafting materia requiring some form of effort to obtain isn't a bad thing, as long as it's not entirely unreasonable like the pre-3.3 way. Even then, players can get 3 control and 3 craftsmanship Vs just from getting the moogle tribe to rank 7. Outside of that, it's really easy to craft and spiritbond a carbonweave set, since it doesn't require a lot of mats, and you can just quicksynth recipes like sewing needle of high mythrite nuggets (which only need a few mats, since they were designed for spiritbonding)Quote:

No, as it is those in charge of Airships get a huge advantage in this game & it's completely unfair to those who don't. There's already materials tied to Airships that shouldn't be (Celestine for example) which gives them an edge. There's no reason they should get more.

People who do not have an airship seem to rarely understand how VAST the time and gil investment is in crafting them, unlocking things, leveling them and keeping them up and running...it's not like as soon as buy an FC house SE gives you 4 airships, max ranks, all sectors/recipes unlocked with all components pre-made plus no running/repair costs and bringing back good things all the time. I would be perfectly happy to have everything currently limited to airships opened up to other areas of the game or gained from non-airship ventures too but I do want the useless crap like the stupid branches etc replaced with useful stuff that is not completely worthless and a waste of time...birch branches for example sell for 15gil on my server and will take 800,000 of them brought back to brake even on my current investment. -

I suppose your ship comes back with nothing on the occasions there's no celestine then... Or, more likely, it comes back with materia, crafting mats, rare mounts etc. Don't try & plead pity as I know exactly what goes into, & comes out of, airship voyages & it's definitely an advantage over those who have no access to them.

To be fair, his ship hasn't even unlocked sector 7 yet. Raw celestines come from sectors 8-10. Nothing else of real value is obtainable 'til you get to sectors 18+ (tier III crafting materia from S3 and S7 being an exception, but the drop rate on those seems to have been nerfed). He will probably get his investment back, but it will take a while.

The workshop materials and materia sections have duplication though because there is not enough variation in materials/materia in the game to avoid that.

Quite a few of the ingredients are from unspoiled nodes, so are very limited in how many can farm a day. Some of the ingredients are only obtainable from actual airship voyages so takes even longer. Total cost in GC seals for the non-farm-able ingredients in that list...375,300 GC seals. Total cost to buy from MB instead of crafting? 15-16 million gil. So forgive me if your screenshot of a few dozen T3 materia's doesn't mean much to me and I'm sorry that you think it is unfair that we spend millions so that you do not have to do so. I was actually like you before I started my own FC and bought my own small FC house with workshop capabilities.
I remember thinking I wanted to craft something and noticed required a rare type airship only item, on the MB it was like 200-300k for the item and I thought that was unfair that I could not farm it for free. I simply didn't want to pay that much for it at the time. Instead I saved up for my own house week after week, month after month checking the wards for vacancies over and over until new wards came around which when they finally did I stayed up and waited for servers to come back up and rushed around like a headless chicken hoping to get one. After making my own FC, buying a small house and crafting my own ship though...the reality turned out to be those with them invest many, many, MANY millions so you can obtain them without incurring that same vast cost.
True be told I do not mind if all airship only items get an alternative non-airship obtaining option but I am getting tired of people who do not have one overestimating the returns and underestimating the costs of getting you those items which we place on the MB for a tiny fraction of what would cost you to farm them yourself if started your own FC and bought your own house with workshop which comes with zero built airships to begin with. You whined about celestines but it costs us potentially MANY millions to get to a stage where we can farm them, you only need to spend 10k for them through the MB on my server...big difference.
Like I said before I have already spent over 12 million just on airship components and materials alone; this next tier I mentioned above could potentially bump that up to just under 30 million and I still have 2-3 other airship tiers yet to craft which I will probably need to do in order to have enough parts to outfit all 4 future ships when the the other 3 finally unlock. That doesn't even take into account the running costs themselves and for a microscopic size FC like mine which only has 2 people...it isn't easy. As I said earlier, people who do not have one often underestimate the time and cost of the feature plus overestimate the returns on the investment much like how you overestimated what tier of the materia thought you saw in the screenshot. -

Thank you for finally saying this. People seem to think people who "GET TO DO THE AIRSHIPS AND GET THE LOOT OMG" that some sort of magic happens. I have people in my fc's join my party and GO AFK after I have done ALL THE THINGS to where that is literally all they need to. I am the only person who even cares about doing them so ya damn right imma get my money and exploit the EVER LOVING heck outta it. Also I give away Zu mounts and most mats as people need them/request them. This type of thing engrages me, like we didn't earn it....you kidding me? I have outfitted 10 airships across 3 FC's all on my own. I earned EVERY BIT OF IT and I will sit on my armada and be proud of my efforts! -

Please remember that the airships were never meant to be for personal use. A lot of the changes you'd make on that list above would only benefit one person as a lot of it is unique and some things cannot even be traded (ie ventures). If you want to take on the airships all on your own, then yes you're going to be investing a lot more personally versus an fc full of people all contributing. Also be aware you don't have to constantly be updating the airship part tiers. You can level them up to 50 with the bronco parts just fine while swapping out with final build parts gradually as you level them. You will not be using 4 x Viltgance parts at 50 as they're 31 components each and at 50 you have a maximum of 61 components per ship build.

I am aiming for 100+ stats on 3/4 parts with 70-90 for the remaining part with each airship by the end. -

If you want to make gil off airships, you've missed the boat, catch the next one. They will no doubt add another exclusive mount/minion/glamour to airship ventures, make you gil off that. -

Most likely you don't actually need to craft all of them, and you certainly can't equip them all to the same ship (Enterprise is the highest-level class for which you can equip the full set). Somewhere in this forum is an "Airship Guide" thread, within, you can find a link to a spreadsheet with a ship builder. I'd recommend you use that to plan out how you're going to have your ships configured at endgame so you don't end up making a lot of unnecessary parts.Quote:

07-18-2016, 09:03 PMpanderinI have crafted several of the odyssey components bc they are what i use for aft and fore so I can get more bang for my buck with different builds with my lvl 50 ships so I can slack in the hull and slower rigging. Odyssey parts for me are the most useful and I haven't used all the same parts for one ship in ages. That spreadsheet I mentioned also includes a trip planner that will tell you exactly how much range you need for your desired route and provides an estimate of how long it will take. I was simply suggesting that a lot of time and resources could be saved by playing around with builds in the simulator rather than actually making the parts in-game. -
