did someone know if they wil take of the 450 limite of lore
Didnt say anything about that in the patch notes.
In 3.4, when they introduce a new tomestone
Probably do it when the next stage of Alexander comes out, just like they did with Eso.
They never remove the cap until they introduce the next tier of tome.
I think should just scrap the whole tome stone system, It really make older content irrelevant. I believe high end gear should only come from raid progression.
The thing is, not everyone who plays this game is interested in raiding, so locking out gear and forcing people to raid will end up pushing some away from the game in the first place.
End of the day SE are trying to run a successful game and their needs to be content available to all the walks of life that come through this game.
Some players simply like to be the best they can and clear things as fast as possible or some simply love their "glamour is the end game" too much, so you'd have that crowd complaining and, some people just like to collect gear to pass the time, some want to have the gear ready for when content patches and expansions happen so they can leap right into the story and not be locked behind a too low ilevel.
There's many different reasons.
The tome system itself is still at its core rather flawed though.
^ I would love to raid but have absolutely zero time to do so, yet I still want to get the best gear I can. It gives me something to work for; what would be the point of even entering a dungeon once I had gotten all the gear from it? Tomes may not be the best idea but locking stuff behind raiding isn't great either. :/
Because tome gear gives non-raiders something to work towards, something that keeps them busy.
Players that keep playing the game, equals more income for SE, equals content being developed at a steady pace. (this includes the stuff you raid)
If all these non-raiders decided to quit because they have nothing to do, SE wouldn't get as much money anymore, requiring them to adjust their content release schedule (meaning you'll have less stuff to raid)
ya but the catch up gear are better than previous tier of raid, making the older content irrelevant.
With the structure and gating on raids in this game, making a larger gap between casual and raider gear would only decrease the raiding population, which is pretty damn small to begin with.
You need exactly 8 people, of specific roles and non-overlapping jobs, to show up and work together at the same time. And if you lose one person, you can't simply get help from someone in another raiding group without a severe penalty. Replace with a casual? In your system that means spending a month or more gearing them up before the other 7 members can progress.
The system relies on itself for what it is, you can't take out one leg and expect it to support itself.
1.) I said the best gear I can get, not the best gear in the game. If I don't have the time to raid I'm obviously not too worried about gear that drops from raids, no.
2.) If the best gear drops from raids what is the point of this argument again? If you get better gear from raiding why bother taking tome gear away from us filthy, non-raiding casuals?
This has been done to death. I used to raid but I don't have the time anymore. So how do I upgrade my character? Lore. If Lore was removed and non raiders had to make do with dungeon gear I would have unsubbed already and others would have unsubbed months ago because after the more casual crowd clears everything they're wouldn't be anything else to work towards. This does not make money for Square Enix. If Square does not make money actual raiders will suffer too.
Raiders already get first dibbs on the best stuff and will still have the best weapons for their Job even with the next relic upgrade. How much MORE special do you want to feel?
