Hey Guys,

It's not available yet, probably you get it through either the next events or patch 3.25.
Ah okay thanks :)
What is that thing?
I just discovered this because I saw a player from my Ravana exe run who was wearing it, and I found out it's on the Japanese servers. I TOTALLY WANT this dress to come to our servers!!! XD I want it now! q.q

It's gained through a special Japan-only event that is being cross-promoted in 7-Eleven stores in Japan (basically you have to buy stuff in 7-Eleven to gain points you then acculalate to redeem for in-game items, like the maid dress). SE stated they're planning on making the items available to other regions though in the future, probably through the Mogstation, so I guess you just have to be patient.
And yes, it's already been argued, complained and whined about already...
Idk why people got so worked up over that maid dress. The valentione apron dress is almost the exact same thing.
Nobody want the butler suit?
The valentione apron looks terrible in anything that isn't Lala. I feel like a WoW character with bulk shoulders wearing that.
They're similar in that they're both maid-style dresses... that's about it though. This Japan-only dress is much cuter IMO, and not as... er... extravagant? Maybe 'ridiculous'? Valentiones set has its own charm, but it also has striped stockings, oven mitts, and bulky shoes. Housemaid dress is far more classical and modest, and people seem to prefer that. I don't think there's anything like that headdress in-game, either.
... I'd throw money at SE for the butler outfit, though. If the price is reasonable.
Personally, I want it because it looks similar to what my character used to wear in another MMO that I adored. :\
Excluding the shoes, I only wore those because they were a rare thing from a 2011 Christmas Event.
[EDIT] But yes, OP. The dress can only be bought in Japan from irl items at 7-11. Buying certain items gets you codes that are worth different points, you put in the codes and get rewards. To get all the items it's about 21 bottled drinks. The irl items are only available in Japan, but the codes can be redeemed on any account worldwide as long as the account is Japanese. Meaning there are some people who moved to Japan, who can't redeem their codes because their account was originally registered in another language. I'm pretty sure they did this to avoid people from other countries paying players in Japan quite a bit of irl money to buy these items and get the codes for them.
Looks like the campaign was a hit in Japan. Some stores have sold out of beverages due to fans wanting the ingame items!
Whether or not we'll have the same type of even is up in the air. Honestly, I'd rather buy it in the cash shop than going to my 7/11
I sincerely hope 'we' won't have the same event given how regionally restricted 7-Eleven is and how finding an alternative store with presence across all of Europe (not to mention regions outside Europe which are served by the EU version) is pretty much impossible. I guess the people in those regions would have fun making real money reselling codes at the expense of everyone else.
(To respond on an earlier point I'm hoping for the butler suit and the other goodies but don't make a habit of posting the same wish in every single thread related to this topic unless I have something else to say.)
Considering that real money needs to be spent on the 7-11 items, I just hope they put all the gear into Mog Station. That way no one gets left in the cold because they don't live near any retailer selling the items with codes.
I wonder how much money one would have to spend in order to get the butler & maid outfits plus the mount? I would imagine it will be the most expensive glamour ever if they go the 7-11 route! Even more than Sleipnr & Bennu.
Man I want the 30,000 MGP points. Then I can buy the Afro hairstyle and the ponytail...
Speaking as a US player, if they want to go the 7-Eleven route, the best route is to have an event in Walmart/Target. EU players, I have no idea which store could serve as an equivalent.
Mogstation makes more sense at this point-- especially if we want Korea and China's exclusive glamour as well (and we do)
True, but we risk raising the ire of our friends in the East who probably won't be thrilled with the idea of the rewards being easier to obtain in other countries let alone for a possibly-unlimited timeframe. At minimum, this needs to be placed in the Mogstation.
The cheapest route to get both the maid and butler outfits (which would also get you the white chocobo mount) is 2,800 yen which is roughly $25 US right now.
14 points for each outfit. 1 point per drink. And the cheapest qualifying drink is a 100 yen bottle of water.
Most likely way too much! Plus we won't get a drink to go with it either.
Our faults for living on the wrong side of the ocean I suppose?
You can bet your bottom people will pay for it no matter how expensive it is though, so you can expect more of it to follow if it does happen. SE would be crazy to not capitalize on modern spending habits.

There NO where near being the same
Brah, you should read the fine print and i quote "The valentione apron dress is almost the exact same thing." which they have a point regardless of your salt level.
either way keep your cool and they will eventually bring it to the mog station as they do with all the glamours, i mean every mmo does this, so why repeat the history of raging when you can be a grown up and wait patently. ;)
