please fix this it really shouldn't fail
May I ask what your making? Quick Synthesis is based on your craftmanship for success rate, since the more times you'd have to perform normal synthesis to complete it, the higher chance you have to fail it.
Literally cannot remember the last time I had a quick synth fail.
Maybe you should get better gear? Cheap craftsmanship food would also help.
Its a pretty safe bet that if you can complete it in 1 careful synth, you can flawlessly craft without error. Or so seems to be my logic and I havn't failed yet...unless a ring breaks without me knowing. xD
Get better gear.
zz
quick systhesis shouldnt fail though like ever. regardless of my gear
I don't get the logic why it shouldn't fail. oO
quick synthesis seems like it is based on some sort of formula of craftsmanship vs level
once you get to a high enough craftsmanship rating even the most difficult things you can use it on never fail.
But in the i just hit 60 gear you can even fail on easy stuff like rubber pretty often
People were cheesing spiritbind by quicksynthing a few stacks of materials while wearing unrelated gear or simply naked to avoid durability costs, among other things. That's why this is a thing. It's also a convenience versus manual crafting factor. If you care about 100% success then craft manually (if you can 1-shot it it's probably faster than quicksynthing anyway).
That being said, I haven't failed any quicksynths since hitting 60 and wearing lv60 gear so I don't know what's up with your rubber.
Weird, I must have quick synth'd dozens of quicksilvers, mortars, rubbers, growth gammas etc., and I've never had a fail...
So, making mats where all it takes is 2 X CSII to complete, I click quick synth and get failures? The heck that make sense, as for the make it yourself what press macro 1 then macro 2 lol pls.
If you can the item with just CSII and using cp to master meld etc blah blah with current gear, then qs should never fail.
im making things where oe or two cs2 succeeds and i quick synth and fail not cool. fine they dont have to remove the feature but ease up on it jeez ive been failing quite a bit more then i should
trust me my gear was high enough and i failed something 3 4 times in a row not cool
As others stated, gear level determines success rate of quick synthing items. Generally from what I noticed, level 60 gear has a 100% success rate for items less than level 55. Anything higher has a definite chance of failure. Items comparable to gear or higher will fail quick synthesis. This cannot be helped and the system shouldn't be adjusted for this reason alone.
It used to be that no matter what, quick synth had a chance to fail (probably 5%, which would fall in line with a lot of systems used in FFXI, incidentally)
It was changed such that if your gear is good enough, it will never fail.
To quick synth stuff of comparable level (this was true even at 50 cap) you didn't need just entry level 50/60 gear, but actually pretty good gear for 50/60. I'm not sure what stats are taken into account, probably just craftsmanship, but if you ever fail a quick synth it means your gear is still too low.
somethin somethin

(and yet of course despite being pointed out, along with how obvious it was before being pointed out, thread will continue for pages as if OP was sincere)
If you can't take the occasional RNG driven quicksynth fail, then craft it manually. If the already low failure rate were lowered even further, what would the point be? Just tell the game how many you want and *bing* they're done...
:rolls eyes:
I quick synt by 200 stacks or more, the onle way I fail them is if my gear condition reach 0 an I don't notice,
make sure all pcs of gear are in good condition.
That's a good point, that probably gets a lot of career crafters sooner or laterQuote:

I try to repair any time any of my things falls below 100% though, and since I see all of my gear's condition every time I open my character screen to change classes, I usually catch it well before anything breaks!
As others have stated, if you are failing Quick synths you need more craftsmanship.
I personally can not remember the last time I had a QS fail on me that wasn't me being dumb and trying to QS things above my level before 60.
I failed level 2 recipe quick synth on my lvl 15 cook. :<
As states before... Craftmanship craftmanship !
I have more than 800 on each class...
The only thing that bother me is having HQ quicksynth...
Because my inventory is almost full =X
I know I'm just making it worse but... why exactly does this need three pages?
While we are at it, lets make all fates drop crystals for relic quest pls 100% as well.
And um, 100% success on anything else that has a chance of any kind to fail.
Quick synthesis doesn't fail unless you couldn't have crafted it successfully with your gear *very easily* on normal synthesis.
Patch 2.16:
If you're failing a trivial recipe 3-4 times in a row on quick synthesis, your gear is probably worn down to nothing.Quote:
Craftsmanship, control, and CP parameters now influence the success rate and HQ rate of Quick Synthesis.
OP is right here tho.
In a craft that succeeds in 2 CSIIs, why should quick synth be a 50/50?
At a minimum it should simulate pure basic synths with no mends. That's still a 99.63% success on a 4 attempt mat that clears in 2 basics, and quick somehow gimps that to 50%? This only exists to force you to sit there spamming 1 (or whatever CSII is bound to) and re-clicking manual craft. Why? How is this a good system in any way?
Nobody is saying it should be doable naked. It just needs to use realistic success rates based on your actual stats and not some artificially inflated BS.
While I was leveling, for example, in basic gear for that level, mythrite nuggets did that. I had to manually spam synths to avoid losing half of my mats. The formula really is that broken. I never trusted quick synth for anything that I wasn't severely over-leveled for again after that.
If you really want to get your hand held this hard, maybe just play Sudoku.
