There's just way too much text flying on the screen during the battle, I can barely see my character fighting under the flying text and the skill's massive effect.
I know you can turn off everyone's fly text but there doesn't seem to be an option that just displays my damage output and numbers. Just everyone's or nothing.. This really sucks.
There should be options where you can only display your own damage and reduce size of characters names (not initials).

Your own numbers are bigger, other people's numbers are so small I don't even notice them. Not sure how you can be having this issue...
For spell effects, you can turn them off in character config. -

I've played this entire game with damage numbers turned off, except for during specific times when I wanted to test and see what certain skill combinations do in comparison to each other. There's honestly nothing that having them on can tell you in a fight that can benefit you that you can't tell from other sources.....
EDIT: Of course, compared to other players, I've also removed almost anything else that I consider extraneous information, which means my screen is far less cluttered than that of other players I've seen..... -

In WoW it was easy, I just modified the game files and replaced sounds with empty ones.

Well it does make sense to announce certain tank cooldowns.
The DRK thing that grills you if you don't get enough healing would be an example.
Never understood why tanks macro'd taunt though (Raidboss tank swaps excluded). The dude that pulled aggro will notice if the mob stops hitting him. -

The only things I macro on tank is my level 50 cooldown ( Holmgang, HG, Living Dead) and provoke ( in raid settings only).
Provoke is nice just because it gives a visual and audio cue for you to disengage or let the other tank get off a solid hit on the mob so we aren't playing ping pong at all. Just takes out some of the error in that situation. -
