Too much crap on the screen

There's just way too much text flying on the screen during the battle, I can barely see my character fighting under the flying text and the skill's massive effect.

I know you can turn off everyone's fly text but there doesn't seem to be an option that just displays my damage output and numbers. Just everyone's or nothing.. This really sucks.

There should be options where you can only display your own damage and reduce size of characters names (not initials).

Your own numbers are bigger, other people's numbers are so small I don't even notice them. Not sure how you can be having this issue...

For spell effects, you can turn them off in character config.

I've played this entire game with damage numbers turned off, except for during specific times when I wanted to test and see what certain skill combinations do in comparison to each other. There's honestly nothing that having them on can tell you in a fight that can benefit you that you can't tell from other sources.....

EDIT: Of course, compared to other players, I've also removed almost anything else that I consider extraneous information, which means my screen is far less cluttered than that of other players I've seen.....

At least our characters aren't shouting the name of their skills out loud like in the nerdy cartoon called One Piece.

I've done the same thing, trying to keep extra information minimal. But I don't want to turn off my own damage info, I like watching my crit damages lol

Fair enough, lol. I just prefer a cleaner view of the game in general, and the numbers over all are just a bit distracting to me......

Had a nin in VA once... "Wind style jutsu: blah, Water style jutsu: blah".... I was thinking to myself... just kill me now...

Plenty of people macro stuff to their stuff to shout... Aparently there are even ones that put it on their most used skills...

(Going from memory here since I'm not near the game.) In the character options menu. I think it's the second tab downwards, then second tab over. It's "display flying text" I believe. Note, this doesn't just turn off damage numbers, but also floating text pertaining to skills activating on or coming off of a target....

The constant "huaa! aaah! uuuuh!" when using any sort of melee skills is just as annoying.

The main reason why I stick to casters. Unless hit, they are quiet.
When I have one of them bards in my group, I stand as far away from it as possible.
