I'm betting less than 10% of the people who SAY they are quitting actually do. They just want to swing their weight by claiming they won't keep playing in the hopes that SE will change their mind about charging.
What do you think?
It will be interesting to see most of the people who claim they are leaving, still here in 3 months from now.

i cant remember what game it was recently that had a "mass boycott planned"
and even had a user group on one of the clients that tracked what game people were playing
and then when you checked the status of those in the boycott after the game came out...guess what they were all playing!
people like to run their mouths, and most of them just do it to be heard and wont actualy follow through -

Staying i was happy to pay for release and i'm happy to pay now. The only thing is worrying me is the new look that ffxiv going to get 2.0 if the game diff from what it look now then i'm going to be sad if it look little better then i like it./ I don't want it too change the art type of the game to more western/tera/rift look that the only thing i'm worry about.

Regardless, people (in general) aren't going to quit. Some forum trolls are having hissy fits and that's about it. Also, since the incredibly vast majority of the people who play don't bother to go to the forums just to say that they are (indeed) going to keep playing like before. It's not like the people who complained on here (a fraction when put into perspective) are going to make a difference. -

Why people would quit at this pivotal moment is beyond me. The more people who stay and show their support by giving them money. The better the quality of the game will be. Who knows maybe they can even afford to put some more people on the team and get it done quicker.
Also seeing the world get blown up by meteor will be worth paying for on its own lol -

I'm definitely staying on. Yesterday was an interesting moment for me in FFXIV. For the first time in recent history I was able to sit down with the game and just play it all day without getting bored and just playing something else. I mean it was my day off so I had all the time in the world but once I logged into FFXIV in the morning I was just on a roll. I did a large handful of mining leves, a miner quest, got some new gear, attempted hard mode Ifrit with some randoms and went out to the Kobold Stronghold to farm Coffer Keys and Spiritbond some of my remaining Dated equipment.
It's the first time in a long while I've been entertained by an MMO enough to just play it and not get bored, it's a significant thing for me :p -
