I'm curious, because at this point people are going to have more then 1 job, and their trying to get them geared as soon as possible, but that's hard to do because weekly is in the way. Unless your doing AS.

I believe so, yes. Otherwise the Void Ark gear would be dated before even launching, now, should the VA have a weekly cap? I don't believe so. It would be a great way to gear alts.

We're going to have i190 uncap. 200 and 210 still on weekly restrictions. But then the wildcard, exploratory missions we're told can reward gear up to 210. Does that have restrictions?
Either it's a rare occurrence to get gear of the highest item level from exploration, or there's a looting restriction I don't know about. I'm not sure until the patch next week. -

Sure it'll most likely be better than upgraded law gear and 'maybe' eso gear, but it's prime purpose is to provide a source of tier V materia and that's it
Also no I don't think eso should be uncapped. If they were we wouldn't have any tomestone on a weekly cap and that would be going completely against how the game has been designed since the beginning.
We need some form of tomestones on a weekly cap or else everyone will be full eso for all their jobs and thats not good for the game IMO. It's an mmo and a business, if there isn't a reason to play each week then why stay subbed? -

and it takes about a week, sometime two weeks to get a piece of eso gear
even it is uncap, i dont feel like running the 2 expert more than the daily roulette -

The weekly cap on currency has never been a good idea since it was implemented, especially since it doesn't have a rollover feature.
The arguments about players burning themselves out yada yada every time this comes up completely ignore the masses of players that are quitting due to the sheer lack of content variety already.
It's more likely that allowing players to gear multiple jobs / glamour options might actually keep more players active between patch releases.
The game's Armory system was actually mean to take advantage of that, but why it doesn't is beyond me. -

So if you find a pink ilevel 210 gear for your job you will keep it. And if the sub stats are not the best for the job you will still keep it for the main stats until you find another one with better sub stats.
Yes, it will be better to just bring back favored classes and optimal level to the gears. Remove the restrictions, what class can wear what gear at what level. Just decrease the stats a bit if it is on the wrong class at the wrong level.Quote:

"This system says you can only gear ONE job well for a6 month8 month period"
It doesn't work based on the core concept. -

Personally I like fights that are mechanic heavy, my favourite fights in this game are T9 Savage and A3S, they both required a certain degree of dps but this came from learning the fight.
The problem here though is if ESO was uncapped at the start A1S and A2S would have been faceroll content in the first week, SE tuned the difficulty of these fights to scale at the rate you would upgrade your gear. Obviously they could have tuned the early fights to be done in i200, but I think they wanted to make some of the fights accessible for the players with less skill who would start on Alexander later in i200. I don't have a problem with caps my self, I haven't capped since early September, but for the casual player base I don't see why it should stay capped from 3.1 to 3.2
I honestly couldn't care less either way though, all I cared about was getting the gear for my main and working on raids, as in my opinion they are the most entertaining aspect of the game. -

As far as the cap, I don't care either way. Been getting gear from savage. With the exploratory missions and void ark added into the mix you should have no issues gearing another class. And honestly by this point you should pretty much have 2 classes almost already geared with esos depending on if they share main stat accessories. -

Already enough ilevel 200-210 gears to gear up jobs well (you can do alex savage already in ilevel 200).
Armory system had even during 1.0 never been about gearing up. If the armory system something need, then the remove of the skill sharing restrictions (at least on classes). -

With 3.2 I'm expecting that I could make 2 sets of gear, for SCH and SMN, pentameld them, and have something raid-worthy for both. If I was richer and somehow wanting to play 12 classes, I could do that for every job. But I'd probably be better off making 12 characters on 12 servers and raiding 12 times a week if that was the case.
