So far we dont know if this ship is an allagan inspiration, made by the Mhiachi or that they had some voidsent help. Could very well be both. But something I notice think is almost unquestionable is that I see is something of hat we all know, "Magitek"
How the Mhiachi made Magitek? Were they so advance, more than Amdapoar and Nym?
Well I could be compleatly wrong, but on what we saw so far, it really looks like Magitek

It's probably not Magitek...
From what information we have, I don't think the Mhachi had any hand in designing it. They just summoned it as a desperation tactic to escape the calamity that ended the War of the Magi, so they probably didn't know much more about it than we do and it's probably not representative of their wartime capabilities.
As for it's level of technological advancement... what I've seen thus far suggests bio-tech more than magitek. There is more likely than not magic involved, but it looks more organic than technological. (Which creeps me right the kupo out.) -

The Void Ark being Bio-Tech would make since considering "The Ark" was orrigenally a Bio-Mechanical summon and sentient in its own right, then it would be perfectly logical for it to be Alive.

I'm hoping Diabolos wont actually be a boss, just a more visible Xandes/Cloud of Darkness... Both were mentioned from what I recall (and Cloud of Darkness kinda appeared at the end of ST), but I'm hoping Diabolos will be that kind of antagonist...
What I'm really hoping for, is that Diabolos has the same dreamworld set up as Final Fantasy XI... Lets say those coffins do contain the people of Mhach (though we see one contain something else), and they're in Dynamis to escape the Calamity (pretty much exactly what Dynamis was set up for in XI...), but Diabolos is a Voidsent, and thus evil, so they're effectively being brainwashed/turned into minions... We clear Void Ark, that forces it to land so then have to deal with in something like a Mhach City (the art work for Void Ark showed a spire on a mountain...), then we have to travel to Dynamis and beat Diabolos once and for all to stop him waking an army of Void Mages he effectively controls now...
That said, I'm still hoping Void Ark is stand-alone and Sky Pirates have us visiting the Floating City of Nym next, followed by whatever is happening in West Shroud... I just don't want Diabolos to be a mini-boss in Void Ark... -

We know that Allagans did not build qarn, despite it having the same simbols and architecture of whats found in azys la and in the allagan sun temple of frontlines.
It has been hinted that the mhach built qarn, then it was taken by belh'adians.
so, if mhachi made a city, using the same (copying) the architecture of allag.(or devs were to lazy and used the same textures)
taking in mind that, it seems normal for me to mhachi copy allagan the same way garleans do now, but while garleans did with technology. Mhach would have done with the void. i mean, come on, Xandes, the last empreror(and first) goal was to unleash the cloud of darkness. He prolly waged war on meracydia, then used the already existing CT+ the newly made dalamud to feed the cloud of darkness.
i mean, if i had a civilization of black/void mages, i'd probably copy the ones that nearly summoned my goal, or atleast use part of their research.
Concluding, doesn't seem impossible to be both void and magiteck -

Based on what we know of Diabolos it seems like he feed off/ thrives on nightmares/dreams.
Since it seems like those coffins may very well be stasis pods for Mhachi survivors I can see him going there so that he can feed on the sleeping Mhachi dreams. It's in his best interest to keep them alive; hence all he'll have to fight us to protect his "cargo" atleast that might be one of the reasons.
I suspect he might end up being the 3rd/final boss for Void Ark 2 many months from now.
Also, I do believe that Void Ark may very well have been an Alagan vessel that was retrofitted by the Mhachi. Afterall, it does have a somewhat Allagan design. But most importantly, I am sure the 5 Astral Era civilization knew about Allagans, maybe even more than modern Eorzean since they're only 1 Era away from the Allag's golden years -

Diabolos might just be a in-between like Atomos or may only be in a cutscene. I don't recall anything mentioning him as a boss other than being shown in an image teaser about the raid. Other than the mother bomb in that hard mode dungeon. Didn't someone ask if we could guess what classic boss we might see in the new Raid? I'm not sure if I noticed anything in the trailer that looked familiar other than the dungeon boss.

Doesn't rule out the possibility of Diabolos reappearing, but there is no Void Ark 2. Or 3. Or 12.
Possible not probable. While it superficially looks Allagan, beneath the surface it's anything but. Aside from the bio-tech vibe compared to Allag's magitek, it's black compared to Allag's love of chrome. The 5AE civilizations almost definitely knew about the Allagans, given they weren't around too long ago and they left crap everywhere. Still, I don't get the feeling the Void Ark is a retrofitted Allagan vessel. -

I still don't think the Allagans anything to do with the Void Ark. Allagan tech looks very magiteck with spinny crystals and things covered in lights. The mechanical parts of the Void Ark look mechanical rather than the traditional almost Sci Fi look the Allag have.
Its worth remembering while the Amdipori lacked much engineering, the Nym have a lot of gearwork running through the structure of the Wanderer's Palace. Also, its possible there were other cultures in Eorzea's past that managed to develop mechanical technology of that level. It just looks to 'primitive' for the Allag. -
