Can we get an update in moves that are useless

Some move are completely useless and need to be updated. Here are some moves with my main class Monk list your moves that are useless that you feel like need to be updated.

* One Ilm Punch -so far since xiv been release the bosses in end game,mid game, beginning of the game cast no buffs so we can use this move to good use.....outside of pvp this moves is completely useless and should be updated to use for pve since its not a specfice pvp enlisted move

*Haymaker- this move we get to NEVER use in pve due to you need to dodge first but since we not tanks and dont get targeted often this move made my list and need to be updated and put this move on a global cooldown and keep everything else the same

*featherfoot same with Haymaker 9.5 out of 10 we not getting targeted maybe add a skill speed boost for the duration we can actually use this move in pve

Note im stating for pve I know some of these are good for pvp but since its not pvp I think we should update these old moves for pve

After I finished leveling and I could get hit by enemies more than twice again, Shadowbind went back to being useless.
Wide Volley is now utterly useless unless you are just lazy and don't want to position yourself properly.

Then just don't use the abilities...I just leave them off my bar and forget about them...I have enough right now.

Not every ability is designed with dungeons in mind.

Just because it's not useful there doesn't make it useless.

Just because an ability isn't part of your rotation doesn't mean it's useless. Haymaker, Featherfoot, and Shadowbind have their uses while soloing. Shadowbind I've also used in dungeons on unexpected adds while leveling. It's your only CC, it's not useless.

One Ilm Punch I'll give you... that one almost literally does nothing. Furthermore it's hard to use with the stance requirement. So even if you HAD a use for it, you couldn't use it conveniently.

Other useless abilities though? Hmm... Maybe Stella, in PvE it's pretty much useless. Even if you're taking punches to the face, you're a healer... fix it. It has a potential use as a ranged snare on certain boss fights, but the cast time makes it strictly inferior to Lethargy. Maybe in some wacky combination with Lightspeed... I doubt it.

Hyoton is pretty bad, though I've used it in A3 to snare a speedy Piston Lubricant I couldn't quite reach in time. Keen Flurry is about as useful as Featherfoot (little less maybe).

There are a few cross class abilities that make you scratch your head in confusion...
Savage Blade.. Mantra.. Hawk's Eye for BLM and SMN.. Skull Sunder.. Cure/Physic after about level 30 or so.. Impulse Drive..

Impulse Drive useless ? As useless as True Thrust yeah, it starts your Chaos Thrust combo XD

Maybe you meant Feint, the 120 potency move with a Slow effect ?

But thats my point After lving haymaker you never use again and I want to use that ability it reminds me of like a monk counter attack off the old final fantasy games abd One llpunch need to ve either rework or add unique enemies we can actually use these moves upon even adds idc

Nearly useless. Too many tanks that think they need to dance with the mobs they pull all around. So it has potential of keeping you in the casting cone while being further away while the tank is dancing around.

Uh feint is only useless to Dragoons. It's handy for BRD and MCH.

Feather foot is useless ISH for MNK, except when you have to tank an add, cross class it with any other melee job that can use it.

Useless abilities aren't all useless, they have ther places, sometimes more as cross abilities than main class.

Virtually all of those have always had a use, except bliz ii and freeze really.

Whether it be lethargy and surecast for fire weaving

Thunder Ii for different openers

Scathe for oh fuck im so in the wrong place sprint

As for hawk eye, if you met acc cap yeah its unless however in pvp its great for finishing off healers in attunement

Well, in their defense in regard to cross classing Impulse Drive it did used to be a cross class skill until 2.45. Now, there wasn't any need to use it after the melee buff in 2.1, and even then it was a huge drain on TP.

More on topic. It would be nice to see some sort of adjustment to at least some of these abilities people have mentioned because some of them serve little to no purpose in any content compared to other options.

Freeze and sleep are super cc's and one of major reasons to bring blm

There is use for all of these skills:

Scathe
Freeze
Surecast
Sleep
Lethargy

... while in PVE too. Surecast before the first Holy for WHM if you're surrounded and taking damage, Freeze when tank is losing aggro and the mobs are spreading, Sleep to help the healer if damage is too high or tank overpulled, Lethargy if something aggros you so the tank can take it back before it gets to you...

Awareness
Shield swipe
Bulwark (to a lesser extent)
Clemency has its uses, but is not viable as it stands

Blizzard II is amazing for SMN, it's our only AoE filler spell. The rest are pretty useless now though, save for sleep for quests maybe.

What?

Awareness and Bulwark both reduce damage you take, which obviously is important as a tank. Pairing it with Raw Intuition as a Warrior is great for pulls of multiple targets where at least some will not be in front of you.
Shield Swipe is a 40 TP high enmity move which doesn't interrupt your combo, helping with TP conservation and aggro generation.

How are they useless?

Good for SCH too when 4+ enemies

There's only a few abilities that have absolutely 100% zero use, but there are alot that are generally useless save for a few niche scenarios.

Bard:
Shadowbind
Warden's paeon
Wide Volley (100% completely useless)

Astrologian:
the spear
nocturnal sect
collective unconscious
celestial opposition

WAR in the party using Berserk and kindly uses a macro to let healer be ready for Esuna/Leeches in 15 seconds.
BRD puts Warden's Paeon immediately on WAR. Healer never needs to do a thing.

Nocturnal sect make astro god mode in pvp
Collective unconcious is pretty good after the fix making its regen a heal over time. Its basically a mana free aoe WHM's Regen

I use Featherfoot on adds in A1S and A2S if dolls are in funky positions, I'm also not opposed to reworking abilities for any job. As far as One Ilm Punch goes It would be cool to see what they 'could' do to this ability but I like it as a situational dispel considering I have plenty of other buttons to press while playing Monk. Even though the PVP usage outweighs the PVE ratio like 90% PVP > 10% PVE
