3.07 PvP changes

• Purify recast reduce to 120 sec (90 sec with trait)
• The damage penalty incurred due to the distance of a Bard or Machinist from their target will now be reduced when using Wanderer's Minuet or Gauss Barrel.
• Battle High and Battle Fever now refill the adrenaline gauge at 1.25/1.5 rate.

RIP Summoner dots.

You missed the gigantic amount of buffs to astro and the slight damage increase to monk

* Each GL stack now grants 10% extra damage, up from 9% and lasts 2 seconds longer (4 seconds in pvp) for a total of 30% bonus damage

* Tornado kick reduced to 40s cooldown

* Faster Chakra stacking


* Benefic, Benefic II and Helios have been buffed by 20, 30 and 10 potency

* Diurnal Benefic heal potency increased 40%, Nocturnal Benefic shield amount increased 30% (no change to the heal)

* Diurnal Helios heal amount increased by 60 potency, regen effect reduced by 10 potency, Nocturnal Helios heal and shield increased by 10 potency

* Synastry now heals the linked ally regardless of who is healed in the party, but the healed amount is down to 40% effect instead of 50%, now also buffs astro's healing output by 20%

* Celestial opposition cooldown reduced by 30 seconds

* Disable went from being awful to amazing, now reduces damage of target for 10% for 6 seconds instead of just one attack

* the bad manner bubble now grants both effects regardless of sect used, but regen nerfed from 200 to 150 potency and lowered duration to 15 seconds

* Balance, Bole and Arrow got double duration

Super happy about it, in a post I sugested it even if not whith such cooldown reduction (I was thinking about old FL too, where anyway it was balanced).

Mmm I wonder if this is due to the battle high melee that sometimes I saw just "spam" their lb.
To be honest I didn't saw this as an issue and also I'm a little sad for BLMs.

Monk had some changes too.
And now I'm definitively worried about Astrologian, I hoped they enhnced his poency saying that in pvp they have a nerf that make them equal to pre 3.07,
now kill a Nocurnal sect Astrologian will be vey an issue in WD.

Anyway it seems that they are watching at pvp balance too and those "little" changes make me think that in the next patch a lot will come, like when they asking for a SCH debuff in the old Secure FL, implemented with a little patch like this the removability of Aetherflow.
In the next patch they removed Cleric Stance (still crying ç.ç) and made some other fixes.

So Now I'll see all the angered people that didn't had a SMN nerf XD

It's nice to see the purify adjustment. Would be great if they expand on it more, like for 8 action points your purify affects all party members in a certain radius. Yeah, that would be cool.

The purify recast shortening was needed. TBH, I'm surprised they made some QoL adjustments at all for PvP.

I'm thinking the buff of shield potency for AST's Noct stance could be big. That and their slightly stronger heals (Lightspeed + heal spam?) They were already hard to take down spamming Noct Aspected benefics before.

There is already one skill that remove all debuffs from whole party and it is heal LB.

tank limit break that grants a debuff immunity of 10s. Take it or leave it.

Reducing Purify cooldown made sure that SMN burst was more manageable and yet not impact its DPS in PvE settings. SMNs can still smash faces of course, like binding their targets and force a Purify, then smacking with their instant combos.

Astros definitely needed buffs in PvE but that has brought some interesting changes to PvP. All I can say is, a Monk with 1-Ilm punch will make short work of Astros/Scholars. Or at least make their life a living hell.

Unfortunately you'd be speaking from a lack of experience, monks dont put out enough cc to be anything more than an annoyance to healers in FL, one ilm punch's effectiveness is diminished alot when we can put out so many covering buffs in a short space of time

Yup, that's why we should ALWAYS have Protect & Stoneskin up... Preferably Succor too. That way it takes four one-ilm punches to affect a SCH aetherflow. ;)

Unfortunately people still insist Protect & Stoneskin are pointless in PvP so refuse to use it and/or wait for it to be applied.

You are right, I'm not experienced in level 60 Monk PvP. All my Seal Rock PvP experience is poured into MCH so I'm merely going by theory/skill description.

Even with Somersault (6 seconds Perfect Balance) + Perfect Balance (10 seconds) = 16seconds of constant 1-Ilms, is that still not enough to cause trouble to the healers? Just curious.

I like the purify reduction CD, But the Astro buff is too much... really too much, was already hard to kill them before and now it will be even worse,I think they are going to start eating more Lbs than any other healer from now >_>.

Dont know why they change the High battle/fever tbh it is not an issue and never was but well, i just hope they dont do more stupid DMG nerfs or buff healers more, that would only make the RNG gets more importance in seal rock.

they can cast buffs at almost the same rate you can strip them off, plus you waste 2 ogcds for something they only need to use one ogcd for (if any at all)

it would be useful when chasing someone who is alone, but then you arnt doing nearly as much damage

Having a monk in perfect balance blowing one ilm punch on a healer at this point is a technique only used when the healer has a couple other targets on them, otherwise you're using it in hopes that they will waste time reapplying buffs on themselves rather than healing. One ilm punch is truly for the summoners and the pesky alliance surfing tanks. Though a summoner with a bunch of covering buffs is an utter pain, that's where I have to blow stuns and perfect balance until I get the aetherflow and then I have nothing to kill with (that's when your heart sinks when you realize they stacked an aetherflow).

Can't say I'm too hyped for the purify change but I will gladly accept it. As a monk, I'm a target for a lot of different dots and stuns, especially since I have no gap increasing abilities. I would have preferred smn's being unable to bane dots created by tri-disaster in pvp, it's a far more elegant solution imho. Should smn still prove to be too powerful, the devs will have to turn to potency tweaks while dots are still being flung around and cleansed everywhere.

So Astros are practically immortal now. More so than they were before.

RIP PvP.

AST is now the best healer for pvp, no question. Before they definitely were top tier, but now its undeniable.

They were slightly behind vs a good amount of comps in wolves den, but now that amount of comps has been reduced to only control and chokers

God Astros were a pain to take down in Seal Rock already..

purify change was a good change. hopefully this cuts down on the people who were complaining about certain things.

ast was already top tier. now it's out of this world. won't be long before we get a 20 page thread about invincible ASTs.

I'm very happy with the changes. There is plenty of time before the new den to see what needs to be done with ast. Now if they can only remove gc's.
