BUG: Kick and rejoin mayhem [rant inside]

I really have to rant now about this.

First of all, dear Devs: I have tought they adjusted "join in progress" so a kicked member can´t join that instance again?

Really, here is my experience from about 5 minutes ago.

Instance: Keeper of the Lake, High Roulette.

1. We start of with a CONJURER as Healer.
2. I pointed out he might want to put in his soul crystal.
3. He didn´t react to it, so I pulled the first 3 crabs.
4. He barely could heal up, as the only thing he did is to spam Medica2, even after all Mobs were dead, he spammed it until his Mana was depleted.
5. we cleared up until the Toad, when he was killed by the AoE... what a miracle.

First kick.

6. from now on, sh** got weird - SCH #1 joins.
7. as he approached our group waiting in front of first boss, and waited endlessly for him to protes himself, I did a ready check.
8. Ready was checked, but he didn´t go in with us... wipe.
9. due to lack of reaction, we decided to kick him as well.
10. SCH #2 joins...
11. I ask him, if he is human? with brains?... no reaction, no fairy, no movement....
12. as I start to move, i realize he´s on "Auto Follow"...
13. Kick...

14.... SCH #1 joins the group again.

Kick, abandon instance....

Seriously, is this how it works?...

Guess what, after I put my frustration in this. I decided to go again.

Guess what, again, keeper of the lake... again, that same SCH #1.

That does sound like a frustrating day :( I've got no first hand experience with the lockout, but the patch notes say:

Which makes it sound like it's possible that the kicked player can return to the same instance eventually, only that they aren't allowed to right away. I'm not sure what the cooldown is for this though, I haven't heard much information about it.

I honestly don't think it can be considered a bug that bad players join your duty finder! :)
But fun story though!

Jeah it seems, another bot in between, and rejoin is fine xD

thats really strange, especially if you got 3 times the same guy who just act´s like a bot.

I think he meant the bug was SCH #1 rejoining the same party after being kicked

Note the "not immediately". This implies that there's some kind of timer, and once that timer ends, a player is free to rejoin the same party. Unfortunate, but it probably doesn't come up all that often unless (as was the case here) you end up dealing with a long string of kicks.

Not how I would have implemented it (I would have preferred the kicked person be unable to rejoin the party they were kicked from at all - none of this "not immediately" crap), but SE works in odd ways at times.

Sounds to me they were RMTs, I hope you reported them.

But at the same time funny/sad story.

Thats a really awful story... i really dont want to be in your shoes.

But not before another SCH joined the party.
So it seem the "rejoin lockout" for a specific time worked. But maybe should SE increase the time a bit more.

Yeah, I know. I don't think it's a bug either (just a bad design decision), by the time that SCH rejoined the timer must have allowed him to. I was replying specifically to

Sounds more like a gypsy curse than a bug. Have you angered any gypsies lately?

if the lockout is 10 minutes he can rejoin at some point, where is the bug?
