I don't think all of those recipes will be able to be used immediately. I think the cobalt gear in the dats is for like lvl 68...
i suggested a while back that there should be recipes in this range even if we arent in the range ourselves
it serves a few purposes
1) leveling, you dont have to rely on recipes that diminish all the way to 50, as it has been, a recipe to grind on is usualy higher then you...except when you finish to 50, but making even higher recipes then the cap, you make it possible to keep higher exp all the way to cap itself
2) challenge recipes! just cuz your 50 doesnt mean you have it easy, some recipes may still be very hard to make and have a risk! before, you could make everything in the low to mid 40s, but now, when you may be requires to be 50 just to attempt something, being 50 will hold more value.
and im sure its easy to add on to this
They will indeed be craftable but possibly a bit more difficult, which is fine. I'm just excited we finally get some neat items that the npcs have.

I still have 12 from before they got removed. Also got 1 Ebony and 12 Spruce but they not on the new list.

I bet by the ps3 release, we will be looking at a level cap increase. I mean I really doubt they planned this game around a 50 cap, look at XI starting at 50, with increases of 5 levels. I really don't want to limit break all the time either :/ but I bet we'll get a 60 cap somewhere in the next year or two when the core game is playable, payable, and ps3 version is released. Maybe even level cap with an expansion.
The fact the recipes are in the game now, I think for getting to r50 it will help, and also they can balance the recipes now accordingly, so that when the level cap does come , the gear is balanced, synths are balanced, and we will have been looking forward to it going "i want to craft that NOW! give it to me!"
I suspect 1.21 will see cap raise

This post makes me think cap will be raised in 1.21 to accommodate new mats like darksteel and gold.
Oh, just realised the Bas-relief Cobalt Saw is the same one i drooled over when i first noticed an NPC sitting in the Uldah Adv. Guild with it.
So is all this new gear level 50? We're getting Woolen into Felt, Mythril into Cobalt, Peiste into Boar into Raptor, etc. Woolen and Mythril for sure is level 50 type stuff so it makes me think Felt and Cobalt should be beyond that unless they're just powered up version of their previous iteration. meh, guess we'll see tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 5 level raise on the cap.

In any case if they wern't going to do the level cap+ with an xpac I'd bet on 1.24 or 1.25 (or whatever patch the map redesign comes in).
1.21 = jobs
1.22 = job balancing (why would they do level raise on patch to balance jobs)
1.23 = content for balanced jobs
1.24 = first spot where level cap would make sense
Also as stated before L51-60 recipes are SYNTHABLE at levels 41-50. Honestly they should have had L51-60 recipes craftable in game at release because anyone thats gotten a crafting job to 50 knows how incredibly tedious it is crafting L46-50 off bad SP. Example, at L40 is possible to get 33-40k per hour, but at L49 the most I even ended up with was maybe 18-22k /hr.
This is basically for leveling up purposes, so you can gain 600-800 SP per synth all the way to 50. It does NOT mean an indication of level increase. Oh and just because the synth level is 51 doesn't mean the item it makes is 51 .... sigh!
And what better way to keep r50s playing until 1.24 than increase cap now ^^

Very nice list there, I am impressed that SE would do this! The search feature is great, though it highlights for me just how much the gear selection has changed. There is a ton of nice looking new stuff, but there is also a lot missing.
I sort of doubt we are getting a level cap increase . . . I'd like to think that SE would think to mention a tiny detail like that in the massive patch notes, y'know? ;)
