Sweet, they even simplified recipes for low rank crafting.
Will make it easier to level :)
As someone who only has 2 crafts (R13 + 10), its encouraging to continue crafting or even start another new one.
Now if only they made improvements to the crafting process so i dont have to mash enter on my keyboard.
Rosewood Fishing Rod
:D :D :D
There be a whole boat load of changes. Yar.
god that's the first time i ever thought something rly needed an TL/DR lol
Jesus, that was probably more work and effort for them than the rest of 1.19 >_>
From the looks of this list, I can now quarry dyes straight from rocks... Is this similar to tapping a maple tree for its sap? I guess you can make a rock bleed!
More like using mineral powders.
Words... i have none.
There's at least three new sword types on that list O_o.
Nothing on sleeping potions :(? they shifted out sleeping powder but no updated recipe for it, also this is very early for them to do lodestone post.
Yea that puzzled me a bit. I noticed them nixing a lot of alchemy staple items, But no extended alchemy listing.
Interesting that both Pink dyes and canvas seems to be gone for good.
Also, seems like many sets will be losing color, like linen coatee only having blue brown and undyed.
I knew they were going to f'up everything...but not that they were going to remove pink gear for good....it's just too stupid to even believe! ><
Not really sure about what to think anymore...maybe they want to make it a DS port so that's why they are discarding 90% of the game items...
Overall, I'm displeased. Oversimplification and easy street makes me sad. D:
i'm a little upset they didn't add in the higher level fish :o
tired of those fish being in the dat files and on websites, but they are still not in game a year later :(
I may be wrong cause it's quite late here and I could really use some sleep, but I see only 1 colour variation per equip... didn't Yoshi say that he wanted to ease the colour customization and make it more like an upgrade to the original gear? uhm where's the customization if you have only 1 choice? o.O
There are loads of new weapons/gear in there. I wonder if this is like every craftable item in the game? O_o Also saw some stuff like Mythril Lance, I wonder if there is going to be a level cap increase soon (It's 58 gear in the dats).
Edit: Yeah, a lot of this gear can't be included because they are some cobalt (lvl 68 equip) gear in there. There is no way they would introduce that stuff...
Regarding the dyes, they're probably not showing more than 1-2 variations on the old recipes because it would make that list like 4x longer than it already is.
Everything takes a lot less materials to make now, though.Quote:
maybe I've missed something, but i'm getting the impression that grinding craft levels will actually be much harder/expensive, due to the massive nerf to the number of base level mat from raw materials such as lumbers
also.. Bone scale mail... Requiring a steel ingot? unless there jacking that piece up in rank requirement both to wear and create. that's kind of doofy and counterproductive.
Whaaat. No way, I hope they give Alchemists a lot more things to do in the future then. :/ Boo-fcking-hiss to these updates. Particularly ones towards weaver. 1 yield is a bit harsh. I would have expected perhaps 3-6 not 1. I see you can double your recipes, oh well. Better get to work on getting my bolls into thread.
What am I going to do with my 12 stacks of limonite and 3 stacks of iron sand?!
I'm just guessing Dye Shops but read for yourself...

Simplified Color Customization
Currently, players can customize the color of their item only by using colored intermediary materials. This process is rendered extremely complicated due to the fact that intermediary materials come in various hues, along with the existence of dedicated dyes for different types of material (lumber, cloth, metal, and leather).
The new recipes will allow players to color-customize items in a single step by using dyes. Furthermore, universal dyes will be introduced that can be used across all material types.
So far so good.
I noticed that to make Red items you had to use brown dye.... How odd?
Looks like hides/skins > leather is getting a nerf and also logs > lumber.
Going making all my hides into leather and logs to lumber tommorw
They are getting rid of these...
Radiant Fire Moraine
Radiant Lightning Moraine
Radiant Wind Moraine
Radiant Water Moraine
Radiant Ice Moraine
Radiant Earth Moraine
Astral Moraine
Umbral Moraine
So how are we going to break clusters now?
Omg I can't wait for this update I really want to make Felt Gear :o
I bet its gonna be so pretty!
Wow, not a friggin single... not one culinary recipe revision in there? The class that has the most damn ingredients are you effin with me? Dropping the price of crafted food on merchants? Crafted food on merchants should have been removed completely.
Everything else is looking good, but damn you bent us over yet again.
I'm a long-time lurker and not usually inclined to post, but seeing as nobody has mentioned it...
Is it just me or are they scrapping most of the Rank 45 and above Alchemist recipes, including their ingredients?
(i.e. Reanimating Salts, Disabling Powder, Leather Dyes, Laquers, Cluster-Breaking etc...)
Also, the updated ALC recipes seem to only accommodate low-ranking recipes...so I really hope I am missing something out here and that SE isn't trying to squash high-ranking alchemist aspirations of players :/
Yoshida has said that he has plans for Alchemists and Culinarians, but it won't be until after 1.19.
I've had my suspicions in the past, but now I can confirm: Square Enix hates Alchemists.
