Hells no. The only piece a' me that's part a' the syndicate are the scraps a' boot leather I left up their arses.
My response to the Syndicate offering me a seat would be the same as the response I had to the Council in Mass Effect 2 offering to give me back my Specter status after basically covering up the truth behind everything I did in the first game. For those of you who don't get the reference, the answer would not be favorable...
Accepting a Seat on the Syndicate between Rahbauhn and Godbert? I don't see the problem here. It would be one more Seat filled with someone loyal to the Sultana. On that Note when he does come in for official things, Does Godbert remember to get dressed?
We don't really operate on the same level as the syndicate, and if we did we'd be useless and quickly lose our influence and standing.
Do you think Lolorito has time between business meetings, economic planning meetings, and politicking to go kill primals, stop a dragon war with his fists, or personally spearhead a Garlean counter-offensive?
No. No he does not.
We're heroes, not kingdom administrators or corporate CEOs. It's an entirely different skill set, and an entirely different sort of influence from the WoL.
While I think the others have made a favorable argument for why it just wouldn't work out if we did, I would opt to join. It is a position of power and power is neither good or evil. With the power the position afforded me I could effect change and possibly neutralize some of the power that Lolorito and his sympathizers hold.
And for the same reason we would be no good at this, Minfilia is great in the same sort of position. She's the CEO, the negotiator(we saw that Alphinaud kinda failed in the position), the manager of the team. So what she doesn't fight; she does something just as important.
My personal preference for neutralizing Lolorito's power is a bullet to the head. Even if the Admiral and Limsa stopped supporting me, I can stand to be a refuge in Ishgard for the rest of my life. I like Anx Trine pretty well, and there's plenty of uninhabited ruins in the Churning Mists I could take over and call my own, even if I did have to deal with the Moogles.... :)
as a member of the syndicate , what vendor npc r u gonna change?
