Ok if I remember correctly...
Alexander Normal = No loot Lock(can roll on multiple gears), Repeatable for multiple runs, and mid tier gear (either ilvl 170 or 180 gear).
Alexander Savage = Loot Lock, not repeatable for multiple runs, Highest Tier gear (most likely ilvl 190 armor and ilvl 195 weapon), and Token system.
is this right?

There wouldn't be a point to running Alexander Normal at all if it only had 170 and 180 ilvl. The tokens will allow you to buy 185 at the minimum, or 190.
In Alexander Normal, every chest drops tokens. Not known how many. 1 token buys you an accessory. 4 tokens buys you an armor piece. There are 5 levels to Alexander, so potentially you can get 5 tokens a week (if you run it enough). You are limited to 1 token per level per week.
Nothing known about Alexander Savage loot mechanics as I recall. Probably similar to Coil. -

Esoterics will be between Normal Alex and Savage, (only heard this next part so can't say it is 100% fact). That Savage will be 5 ilvls over Esoterics. So maybe 190 Normal Alex, ilvl 200 for esoterics and 205 for savage.
I dunno XD if Esoterics will be higher than Normal Alex or higher. Equal it will allow mix and match for optimising, higher will make normal Alex drops obsolete for main job.
Lockouts, from what I can ascertain there will be a loot lock out, more in line with CT than coil. But with some form of token from each turn to hand in for the required item/s.
But we will find out in a short while ^_^ May as well wait and see. -

Basically, EX becomes its own catagory. But that doesn't seem like SE's intention. They try to let everyone have multiple pathes to max ilevel.
What I think is more likely:
Alexander NM : Upgraded Law
Alexander Savage : Esoterics (Please GOD no upgrades via hunts/dungoun drops...) -

I think Esoterics gear will be higher ilvl then Alexander Normal. Because if Esoterics was the same as Alex NM why would they hold it back 2 more weeks until savage is released? Makes me think they will be closer to the savage ilvl.

The way I assumed it was going to happen was something like-
Alex Normal = i180 ("weathered" version of Alex gear)
AF3 = i190
Alex Savage = upgrade items for Alex Normal gear to push to them to i190 & i195-i200 weapons (putting them slightly ahead of current top tier aka Ravana). -
