I'm just wondering, does SE plan on releasing quests for crafters in the Company, so crafters can earn rank and marks and get their own chocobos.
Probably not, since Crafters will get their own Mecha Chocobo with Missile Launchers and laying waste to the Grand Company in revenge.
Most crafters probably have at least one R25 battle class or whatever Rank is necessary to get a chocobo.
OP has all crafts at 50 lol
And the answer to His question is "were looking into it. "

Too bad.
No Chocobo for you! NEXT!!!
Hire someone to escort your escorts. Pay 10000 gil to someone to join your pt and fight all the mobs while you stroll alongside the chocos. You can even help by going out to call the runaways.

Who on earth plays this game just to be a "crafter"?
I wouldn't want to play the game just to be a "crater."
atm i have R50 conj, R50 archer, R50 shield, R50 gla, R30 pug, R20 thurm, R19 mrd, R26 lanc.
lets just sy im so very bored of battle classes now so heres my crafts
R29 alc, R23 armourer, R21 weaver, R15 bls, R15 gold, R15 carp, R15 leather.
and im working on all my crafts at the same time purely because im so bored of fighting mobs. so at the moment im playing purely to craft.
others play/played purely to gather too.
actually i am a full time gatherer and crafter now. i do so because i started with battle class and capped a few and after 1.18 i decided to wait until all the battle changes were complete before i started on them again. i'm not a fan of using the half completed battle system as it is in its current state.
You're right, you know dungeons should be conquerable by groups of weavers. How dare SE not allow crafters and gatherers to do everything battle classes can?! I mean parleying your way through the current campaign was oh so enjoyable, so glad they added that. I didn't want to fight monsters anyway.
Seriously though, it takes hardly any time to get a battle class up high enough to join a company and start earning marks.
I try to edit the reply so it fit the "crater" to be a joke but fail but since you ask I ll answer: yes
I go out buy a game so I can make product
I go out buy a game so I can beat monster and be hero
those 2 sound the same to me, whatever you archive are meaningless since they are both virtual
ninja edit: you might find killing monster is common, and I do too but after time I got bored with all the pvp and pve, I change my view and I see craft in a game is another way to have fun as well
What's to stop you from having it crafted/crafting it before you enter and just using a battle class? Crafters and gatherers have little place in dungeons and battle-centric content. They still have their own content. The reason some of the systems are in such disarray is because they tried to let gatherers and crafters do everything as well. The content needs to be split. There needs to be content for crafters, content for gatherers and content for battle. It shouldn't all be the same stuff.
SE can design quests for crafters as dungeons for battle class. What make you think that all the new contents should be for battle class only? You don't like crafting, it is fine. Like I said, every player has their own style of play. I don't like to fight as you don't like to craft.
Where did I say all new content should be for battle classes? I said the content should be separate. Battle classes have as much business in creating items as crafting classes do in killing monsters. Separate content is what is needed. A lot of problems arose in the early development in this game by trying to make the content the same, mainly the campaign we currently have.
Crafting (and more recently gathering) are the ONLY reason why I'm still playing this game. I found getting archer to 50 utterly joyless and utterly boring but recognize the practicality of having at least 1 combat job at 50 (and getting everything else to at least 36).
I tried poking at Lancer again recently and just found myself going 'screw this'.
The only things I've really enjoyed in this game has been the crafting and gathering.
i hear that the male choco's we are getting now are just the beginning and in the future they will have choco breeding. i also hear that all the crafters have all the gil. so if trading is your thing and not fighting. wait and buy a choco.
I dunno. To me it always seemed like the primary goals where always battle based and all the crafting and gathering was to serve as a secondary goal to support the primary goal.
Not that there's really anything wrong with it. I'm more curious if anything so I appologise if I'm coming of as blunt or abrasive.
Regardless of your position on the matter, you'd be hard pressed to argue that more people log into an MMO for the crafting than log in to kick monster butt. Yoshida-san has probably put the priority on making battle related content for just this reason.
The Materia system is pretty much targeted at crafters. It's not "content", per se, but it is a rather substantial investment in the non-battle classes.
I agree, as a gatherer, there could be more content, especially content of a social nature, but I also acknowledge that appealing to the greater proportion of the player base is important. Getting their content out the door in a timely manner is also important. I'm not sure if I'd want them to hold everyone else back just because I couldn't buy a chocobo as a pure non combat player. I'd still want to harass them about making it possible, though, in the next patch.
How is adding Grand Company content for Crafters and Gathers holding everyone else back? Are you thinking that SE can't implement both?
Crafting during first 3 months was epic, when there was huge competition in the market.
It's kind of same-old, same-old now though.
There's just nothing to really do anymore, both combat-wise and crafting-wise anymore. I can't remember the last time crafters had something new to do.
